MSI’s N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC graphics card is not only equipped with the latest Twin Frozr III dual fan cooling module, it also incorporates MSI's exclusive Propeller Blade technology for 20% more airflow than conventional fan blade designs. The result is up to 22°C cooler and 10.2dB quieter than the reference thermal solution. Powered by the fastest and most power efficient GPU ever built by NVIDIA, the MSI N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC graphics card changes your game with unprecedented performance and features. The GTX 680 GPU is based on 28nm Kepler architecture and built around 1536 CUDA Cores with 4GB/256-bit GDDR5 memory, producing reality-redefining power and bringing smooth, seamless, true-to-life gaming like you have never experienced before. It’s also factory overclocked to 1058 MHz Base Clock/1124 MHz Boost Clock, a level higher than the 1006MHz/1058MHz reference design, to pump out higher framerates in the hottest titles. More than speed, this card packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI. With these features and more, the MSI  N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC gives you more than one way to elevate your experience.

  • newegg Twin Frozr III Thermal Design The N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC is equipped with the latest Twin Frozr III dual fan thermal solution and MSI-exclusive Propeller Blade technology that generates 20% more airflow than traditional fan design. The twin 8cm PWM fans, SuperPipe technology, large surface-area nickel-plated copper base and high fin density all serve to rapidly draw excess heat away from the graphics card. This graphics card runs 22°C cooler than and 10.2dB quieter than the reference design—validating the superior cooling performance and silent running advantages of the Twin Frozr III.
  • newegg MSI Afterburner Afterburner co-development by MSI and Rivatuner, MSI releases the ultimate graphics card utility “Afterburner”. This utility enables all MSI graphics cards users to boost performance and to monitor all kinds of critical information in real-time. Afterburner is a completely free utility which is compatible with almost all MSI graphics cards.
  • newegg All Solid Capacitors for Long Life and Stability The MSI N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC uses all solid CAP to deliver lower temperature, higher efficiency and over 10 years of service life even in the most demanding user environments. Aluminum core eliminates explosion. The long lifespan and extreme stability provides users with the best, most user-friendly experience.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card till you need warranty service

Pros: Great in SLI

Cons: RMA for a fan after 8 months and they don't have any cards to replace it..instead they offer a 2GB lightning card which means I need to give up my SLI setup. RMA service is tone deaf and doesn't understand the loss related to being forced to give up SLI

3 out of 5 eggsGreat card / bad newegg CS

Pros: Easy install (providing your case and motherboard has the room) - MSI Afterburner software. Able to video capture games w/o frame loss (1920X1200) with all settings set to ultra high. Nice twin fan cools card nicely.

Cons: Well as for the card I don't have any complaints, however for the newegg customer service, very bad! This card was advertised to come with the game Borderlands 2, it even shows that game on my invoice - But the game that was actually sent to me was an outdated and expired coupon for Shogun 2. I contaced Newegg CS, they said the needed to look into it further and will contact me later that day - that was 1 month ago still no response. I honestly don't care about the game, but to say you will follow up on a customer's request and then shuffle it under the rug is unacceptable.

Other Thoughts: Final thoughts...I have a few MSI products and have always had a wonderful experience using them, this card is no exception - I'm happy with it, but for future purchases I will reconsider anything purchased using Newegg as a retailer now.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo in SLI

Pros: I just got back from a year long Afghanistan contract and I wanted to splurge. A lot.
I bought two of these and put them in SLI on the MSI BIG BANG POWER II motherboard.
1680x1050 Battlefield 3 Ultra Specs give me an average fps of 120.
FRAPS. I was able to record Battlefield 3 at over 100 FPS. It's incredible.
The top card is 34C at idle with auto fan configuration on MSI Afterburner; the bottom card is at 29C.
Under full F@H pressure, the top card is 79-81C, bottom card is around 60C. Fan mode still auto.
When I set the fan to manual, 100%, they are pretty loud. That's ok, if cooling is important, this will do the job. Temperatures safely drop between 10-15C per card per under no load or under load.

Cons: Overclocking is stiff. The memory is OC'able up to 400+ from what I've experimented with. However, the core clocks don't want to be rocked over 50Mhz. Technically, this is ok. I don't need to OC these cards when I bought them expecting superior performance anyways.

Other Thoughts: Amazing cards. I'm glad I have them.

4 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: it functions perfectly, fairly silent and cool

Cons: can be very noisy when under heavy load to which only skyrim with full hi def textures, enbseries bleak, ambient occlusion, transparency sparse grid sampling is set 8x but even then it has higher framerates then my old hd 7570 did when anti-aliasing was disabled.no stuttering.

pumps out more heat apparently at the cpu,cpu runs a bit hotter when gaming, need to replace stock cooler next.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe i bought this card,i was going to get a 660 ti but well had someone egging me on and got some extra money, went nuts ok but man, this is what i been missing?!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a fantastic card. I just got this card and it has performed wonderfully! I upgraded from a Radeon HD 7950 to this and immediatly noticed a difference in framerates in my heavily modded Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and Far Cry 3. All on Max settings.

Cons: Can't really think of any. It doesnt want to overclock I guess...I up it and it either tanks or i notice no difference.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to end up buying another one eventually. SLI BABY!!

5 out of 5 eggsIn love with this card!

Pros: This has been an absolutely phenomenal card for me. I wanted a 3 monitor surround setup, and it was as easy as plug and play once this card was in. Even able to easily add my tv into the mix for easy viewing of shows/videos whenever we want.

It can handle pretty much anything I can throw at it, and then some.

Only when I put it into surround mode do I have to scale down things a bit from Ultra settings running at 5760x1080. Still well within what I can play easily and enjoy. Temperatures under load tend to be in the 50 deg. range.

Very happy with my purchase and will not hesitate to stay with this line in the future.

Cons: For some DisplayPort adapters, the proximity and placement of the DisplayPort to the HDMI port doesn't allow some adapters to be used.
The toolless case installation didn't work due to the placement/size of the heatsink. Used screws instead, which is no big deal.

Other Thoughts: If you have the cash, this card will do you no wrong. Everything I wanted to do with this card worked on the first boot up. Every game I play is effortlessly rendered and fully enjoyable. Zero regrets whatsoever! Worth every penny!

5 out of 5 eggsconverted AMD fanboy

Pros: Ivy Bridge, Price, Speedy, Easy Install

Cons: No overclocking, but I knew that going in so no eggs off.

Other Thoughts: I have used AMD processors exclusively since the Socket 7 days and I must say this thing rocks. I was using an Athlon II X2 and resisted upgrading out of pure laziness. I kinda had to tho so I could play Planetside 2 with good frame rates. I thought I would finally give intel a go for my new rig and I'm glad I did! I went with this CPU over the i5 because I was on a strict budget, and have not been disappointed. Planetside 2 runs great on it!

5 out of 5 eggsFreakin Epic Card

Pros: Plug and play like nvidia always intended. unlocked voltage control. great overclock headroom. Really low temps. vram wall is miles away.

after OCs you mite as well call it the 680 Lightning Xtreme edition.

Cons: theres really only one con with these cards. its due to the great cooling. the heatsink plate is a hair too close to the SLI connectors in which you wont be able use a normal 3-way SLI bridge, unless you can find a high profile one(evga may have, havnt looked tho) however it is very easy to use 2 2-way SLI bridges to accomplish this. not worth docking an egg for this IMO

Other Thoughts: Crysis 3 had me itching for an upgrade from my 570 and these really hit the spot. i was struggling with memory usage and overall raw performance of the GPUs. if your only playing at 1080p or less, these cards arnt really a necessity, from a 570/580/6950/6970 its not really an appropriate upgrade, but from a 400 series or 5000 series its massive.

picked up two and running in SLI, both overclocked beyond 1200 mhz on stock voltage. never over 60c on full load cept in 3dmark11. both idle between 29-33c
