Based on the NVIDIA's latest 28nm Kepler architecture, the MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC video card is built around 960 CUDA cores and 2GB/192-bit GDDR5 memory, and features 1098MHz Boost Clock - 65MHz high than reference to deliver more juice for smoother, more responsive gameplay. It supports the full range of GTX 600 series technologies including GPU Boost, Adaptive Vsync, PhysX, 3D Vision, and triple-display 3D surround gaming with a 4th accessory display to bring you to a new era of entertainment.

The new card boasts the popular Twin Frozr III cooling design with dual 8cm fans with Propeller Blade technology, nickel-plated copper base, and Superpipe technology. The MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr GPU temperature runs 19? lower than the reference board and noise is reduced by 12.9dB to deliver the best thermal and noise performance. All solid capacitors ensure 10 years ultra long lifetime, lower temperature and higher efficiency and the aluminum core prevents explosion under extreme condition. The GTX 660 Twin Frozr also supports the Afterburner overclocking utility, making it simple to adjust the graphic card's power and timing for even more performance. With support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround and a maximum of 4 display outputs on a single card, users will be able to enjoy the ultimate in gaming and multi-tasking.

  • newegg Twin Frozr III Runs 19? Cooler and 12.9dB Softer than the Reference The MSI Twin Frozr III cooling design has continued to win the praise of the industry media. The exclusive Propeller Blade technology features unique air channels on the fan edges to boost cooling performance by increasing the cooling area and providing 20% more air flow compared to conventional fans. When the MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr graphics card has a full load, the GPU temperature is 19? lower than the reference board and fan noise is 12.9dB softer. The combination of lower temperatures and reduced noise proves once again that MSI products deliver the best user experience!
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg Single Card 3D Vision Surround Support Apart from supporting the latest DirectX 11 technology, MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr can use 3D Vision Surround technology to set up a 3-display 3D surround environment with just one graphics card. With high-quality 3D displays and 3D glasses, this allows gamers to enjoy the amazing visuals in 3D games and movies. Up to 4 display outputs are supported on one single card, allowing gamers to take full advantage of multiple displays and multi-tasking while gaming.
  • newegg MSI Solid Capacitor Graphic Card MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC video card utilities high quality solid capacitors. For the gamers and high-end users, this feature not only means that product has better quality components within, but also provide much stronger support while users want to engage in hard-core tuning.
  • newegg Support for MSI's Exclusive Afterburner Overclocking Utility The MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr graphics card supports NVIDIA GPU Boost technology to achieve optimal gaming performance through dynamic management of operating frequency. When used in conjunction with MSI's exclusive Afterburner overclocking utility, gamers can customize the power and timing to maximize the overclocking potential. Afterburner also supports free Predator video capture, remote monitoring of desktop graphics card from smart phones, and one-touch burn-in and special effects testing with Kombustor, making it an indispensable graphics card overclocking utility for enthusiasts.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Plays every modern game I've thrown at it flawlessly. Power consumption is fairly low; only uses 1 6-pin connection. Idles at 25C. Highest I've pushed the temp is 46C. Fans are EXTREMELY efficient and quiet.

Caught this on sale for 30% off + additional $20 after rebate. Perfect for low- to mid-budget gaming builds. Will recommend this card to friends and family. I'll probably toss another one of these into an SLI setup if more power is ever needed.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat box

Pros: I haven't used it yet

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: This isn't a knock but those saying not a big difference on wow is because the engine it uses is cpu derived mainly.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: This is a great card. It is fast and extremely quiet.

Cons: So far I have no cons for this card. It has fully lived up to my expectations

Other Thoughts: This card replaced an older EVGA 9800GT. While I am and EVGA fan with the price that this MSI was on sale for i figured i would give it a shot and I am blown away by the product that i received. I will definitely try other MSI products in the future for my personal builds and as only time will tell I may use them for my customers builds as well. I hope that all there products are as surprising as this card and if they are they may just become one of my go to companies for myself and my customers

5 out of 5 eggsSTARTED HEATTING UP AFTER 6 MONTHS

Pros: My bad MSI. I didn't notice the afterburner defaulted the dual fans to 30% ,it doesn't go up from 30% .LOL, I guess iam running some good air flow now with the 200m on the side , use to have fans running at 48%

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I been moving fan case fans around , got the rear ex fan of the system header running at full speed and the 2nd fan on the 212 running at 60%, even wend I had the video card at 60% ,I can barely tell on the audio side .
just got to find the balance between air flow and noise.
Recommendation is the same , just keep and eye on temperatures ,

5 out of 5 eggsSTARTED HEATTING UP AFTER 6 MONTHS

Pros: Wend I got this card back in January I was very please with performance and temperatures, since then I have upgraded component and fans

Cons: Note the card heating up after 6 months, I originally thought the case fans were dusty, start heating up in games and crashing . 70 to 80c ,

Other Thoughts: not sure y , I had added a bottom 140mm and change one of the 120mm exhaust fans, maybe a had a vacuum problem, lucky for me a have a big case HAF 922, I took off the side plexi glass and install a 200mm fan intake and that did to trick. card idles at 30c and top of at 48c in gamming , recommend to keep and eye on temperatures

3 out of 5 eggsWorked good for a year...

Pros: Great value when I bought it in June of 2013. Still pretty good, could be a bit cheaper though now that the 760 is out. Regardless, a 660 with the right CPU will get through any game on high/very high/ultra (depending on the game being played of course). Also nice to see the various improvements made in performance from nVidia's drivers alone. Their rival comes nowhere close to that level of dedication.

Cons: I used to get great temps from this card. Before I started having problems, I would get very low temps -- no higher than 62-67C depending on the game.

But sadly, almost a year to the day of owning this card, it started to overheat. Whether I used Furmark or just play a game for a while (which is when I discovered this problem), the card will get to 89-90C. Since the max heat spec of a 660 is 97C, the fans spin at 100% for a few seconds, it goes back down to 85C or so, then right back up... it is constant. I am using fan control software to force them to move more air once it gets to around 75C, preventing it from getting too hot.... but this is likely very hard on the fans, but is the only way I can keep it from overheating. Not to mention, very noisy and annoying... reminds me of the vintage days of PC gaming, and that's not always a good thing.

Thankfully I have not experienced any artifacts/black screens/lockups yet. But the fans are definitely being stressed and I don't know how much longer they'll last. Furthermore, I can't determine if this is a problem with the GPU cooler, the two fans fans, or perhaps the card's VRM's? Hard to say.

Other Thoughts: I even tried taking off the heatsink, cleaning it and the core, and and applying just the right amount of quality thermal paste. It did nothing one way or the other. Well, temps *do* drop a little faster after gaming/stress testing. However, while actually gaming or stress testing, it takes the same amount of time to get up to 90C and does not stop until the fan kicks in.

I think I got a dud? This is pretty solid card... I am really disappointed that mine didn't even last a year. I don't even game that much, and I always kept it free of dust and provided plenty of airflow in my case.

I can only hope this card will last for at least a few more months. As previously mentioned, I have the fan speed software set up to keep it from overheating. But if it's the fans or the power design of the card, it's probably only a matter of time before it interferes with gaming and possibly usage in general.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb Graphics for What I Do

Pros: I don't spend a gazillion hours playing games (nothing wrong with that I just don't). My gig is doing a LOT of graphics work and video editing and this GeForce fits the need superbly. No regrets. None.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Very fast gpu for it's price range
-The dual fans are VERY efficient at keeping this gpu cool (never went above 64c and now with a addition 120mm fan on my side panel sucking air out of the case i get around 52-55c)
-Handles pretty much everything i throw at it at max settings

Cons: -My HDMI port seems to have a problem, everything on my screen is displayed wrong and all red/pink colors (i have to use the dvi ports instead)
-Incapable of running dx11 games, sets my resolution to 720p even if i chose 1920x1080 and displays nothing on my screen (drivers are up-to-date). Dx9 works fine tho.

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't of the cons i listed i would be very sastified with this video card, but i kinda regret choosing this one now :(

5 out of 5 eggsHOLLLLLYYY #@#$

Pros: Didn't really think this thing would work on the games I play, but so far Call of Duty Ghosts, Minecraft, BF4 have been superb. Not maxed out of course but still amazing, even while I'm recording I get 50 FPS ( i7 4770 )

Cons: see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Might be my internet connection but I doubt it, once in a while it will lag, but not nearly enough to take off an egg. EXCELLENT PRODUCT
