Based on the NVIDIA's latest 28nm Kepler architecture, the MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC video card is built around 960 CUDA cores and 2GB/192-bit GDDR5 memory, and features 1098MHz Boost Clock - 65MHz high than reference to deliver more juice for smoother, more responsive gameplay. It supports the full range of GTX 600 series technologies including GPU Boost, Adaptive Vsync, PhysX, 3D Vision, and triple-display 3D surround gaming with a 4th accessory display to bring you to a new era of entertainment.

The new card boasts the popular Twin Frozr III cooling design with dual 8cm fans with Propeller Blade technology, nickel-plated copper base, and Superpipe technology. The MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr GPU temperature runs 19? lower than the reference board and noise is reduced by 12.9dB to deliver the best thermal and noise performance. All solid capacitors ensure 10 years ultra long lifetime, lower temperature and higher efficiency and the aluminum core prevents explosion under extreme condition. The GTX 660 Twin Frozr also supports the Afterburner overclocking utility, making it simple to adjust the graphic card's power and timing for even more performance. With support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround and a maximum of 4 display outputs on a single card, users will be able to enjoy the ultimate in gaming and multi-tasking.

  • newegg Twin Frozr III Runs 19? Cooler and 12.9dB Softer than the Reference The MSI Twin Frozr III cooling design has continued to win the praise of the industry media. The exclusive Propeller Blade technology features unique air channels on the fan edges to boost cooling performance by increasing the cooling area and providing 20% more air flow compared to conventional fans. When the MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr graphics card has a full load, the GPU temperature is 19? lower than the reference board and fan noise is 12.9dB softer. The combination of lower temperatures and reduced noise proves once again that MSI products deliver the best user experience!
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg Single Card 3D Vision Surround Support Apart from supporting the latest DirectX 11 technology, MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr can use 3D Vision Surround technology to set up a 3-display 3D surround environment with just one graphics card. With high-quality 3D displays and 3D glasses, this allows gamers to enjoy the amazing visuals in 3D games and movies. Up to 4 display outputs are supported on one single card, allowing gamers to take full advantage of multiple displays and multi-tasking while gaming.
  • newegg MSI Solid Capacitor Graphic Card MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC video card utilities high quality solid capacitors. For the gamers and high-end users, this feature not only means that product has better quality components within, but also provide much stronger support while users want to engage in hard-core tuning.
  • newegg Support for MSI's Exclusive Afterburner Overclocking Utility The MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr graphics card supports NVIDIA GPU Boost technology to achieve optimal gaming performance through dynamic management of operating frequency. When used in conjunction with MSI's exclusive Afterburner overclocking utility, gamers can customize the power and timing to maximize the overclocking potential. Afterburner also supports free Predator video capture, remote monitoring of desktop graphics card from smart phones, and one-touch burn-in and special effects testing with Kombustor, making it an indispensable graphics card overclocking utility for enthusiasts.

5 out of 5 eggsMiddle Weight Champ

Pros: Price, Performance, Reliability. Have used a number of these cards in builds and everyone has worked. Not super high end but runs all my games on Ultra settings and does great with my 3D drafting for work.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: MSI cards have always worked for me right out of the box, first time every time. If you need a good mid-range card look no further.

3 out of 5 eggsReplaced by Refurbished

Pros: Fast graphics and able to OC as well as SLI. Fans are quiet and even though it is double wide, it doesn't seem to take up a lot of space in my case.

Cons: After using it for a week it died. Couldn't get a picture through the HDMI port. Newegg replaced my brand new (1 week old) GPU with one that works but was refurbished. Even though the GPU worked better than the new one, which is sad, it was scratched up from the previous user or from the repair process. I paid for new and got used, and Newegg wouldn't compensate me the difference. Typically refurbished products are about 25% marked down...not for me, I payed full price!

Other Thoughts: Notice: Beware sending off the rebate documents right away because you'll need to return "EVERYTHING" to Newegg. That includes the original box with the original UPC code or they will NOT replace your product without constant harrassment.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat gpu

Pros: Flawless!!! used to upgrade older system for modern games and photo processing. it worked very well. i am extremely impressed after having a bad experience with another card.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: first bought the amd r7 240 and had nothing but problems, card was not stable and would crash my system just booting up. after a week of troubleshooting with little to no help from manufacture i rma'd it and got this card. i have had zero issues with this card, very happy i didn't have to go through another bad experience. lesson learned, spend the extra money and buy from a good manufacture. Through the rma process newegg was wonderful. even offered to pay return shipping for defective card. Thank you newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Money

Pros: Card comes in clean packaging, very nice box. Reminds me of yesteryear when the box alone was a toy in and of itself.

Easily set up and customized, no problems at all during set up. Without even overclocking the card it handles any game I throw at it on the highest settings.

Runs Elder Scrolls Online without a hitch on max settings @ 50+ FPS. Runs GW2, Titanfall, AC4 etc. all on the highest settings no problem. This card is really a great buy for the price tag.

Runs cool and quiet, barely audible even at full load.

Cons: The card is big. Wasn't too bad to get it to fit in the case, but it took some finesse to find that sweet spot. That's really the only con I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price/performance card.

Pros: This card performs very nicely for a card in the $200 price range. The cooling setup keeps the card around the 60° range without sounding like a helicopter taking off inside my case. I mostly play SWTOR and I'm averaging around 60fps on high settings and a playable 35fps with all settings maxed. Considering the card is attached to a 5 year old PC running an AMD x3 tri-core, I would say it performs quite well.

Cons: None so far. I'll update if I come across any.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price-perf value

Pros: -Looks great
-Twin Frozr cooling design keeps everything 62*C or under for me while running stress tests
-Plays pretty much any modern game at 1080p at anywhere from med-high settings depending on the rest of your system
-Is very quiet, no noise whatsoever, in fact it's the quietest piece of hardware in my case, even my HDD is louder than this thing during gaming sessions

If your a gamer on a budget and need an upgrade, or you're doing your first gaming build, I can highly recommend this card. For the price it's more or less the best bang for buck currently. I've heard wind of driver issues with this series of cards, but so far no problems whatsoever.

Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, FC3, Skyrim with everything cranked run like butter down a hot stove-side. Things can get a bit choppy, but it powers through every time and all while keeping at or far under 60*C. Couldn't be any more pleased with this purchase.

Great card, buy it.

Cons: Truly I can't in good conscience pick about anything, just a great card.

Other Thoughts: If you're reading these reviews right now and wondering whether to buy it, I encourage you to do so. Don't expect a 780 performance-wise obviously, but it's definitely got some guts. It's a nice little powerhouse of a card.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Cool

Pros: Great MSI software
Runs any game on max settings
Runs VERY cool with stock settings
Runs quiet in my case

Cons: Not a 780Ti

Other Thoughts: This card can run BF4 with a stock speed i5 on max settings at 30 FPS. I havent had any issues with it and the temps have never rose above 55C under heavy load. The MSI software is great and it will make overclocking very easy in the future.
