The MSI N660TI TF 3GD5/OC graphics card ships with the 28nm  Kepler architecture based GeForce GTX 660 Ti GPU to deliver serious gaming power. When used with MSI’s Afterburner overclocking software, the MSI N660TI TF 3GD5/OC supports GPU overvoltage function to fully unleash the overclocking potential. The unique propeller blade on Twin Frozr III and all solid capacitors ensure stable and reliable performance.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA ADAPTIVE VERTICAL SYNC Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg Exclusive Twin Frozr III Thermal Design with Propeller Blade Technology The MS IN660TI TF 3GD5/OC is equipped with the Twin Frozr III dual fan thermal solution and MSI-exclusive Propeller Blade technology that features air channels on the edge of the blades to expand total airflow by up to 20%. The twin 8cm PWM fans, heat pipe technology, large surface-area nickel-plated copper base and high fin density all serve to rapidly draw excess heat away from the graphics card. Under full load, the GPU runs 25°C cooler than the reference design, and noise emission is reduced by 16.9 dB—validating the superior cooling performance and silent running advantages of the Twin Frozr III.
  • newegg Afterburner overclocking utility MSI Afterburner overclocking software allows you adjust the fan speed, adjust GPU & memory clocking speeds in real time, and tune the voltage of the GPU to completely unleash its power. A real-time monitoring interface and burn-in stability test give gamers the power to control the card's overclocking status at any time. MSI Afterburner also supports wireless control by android/iOS handheld devices and built-in DX 11 effect test. Afterburner is a completely free utility which is compatible with almost all MSI graphics cards.
  • newegg MSI All Solid Capacitors MSI Graphics Card products utilize high quality solid capacitor for lower temperature, higher efficiency and up to 10 years ultra-long lifetime (under full load). The aluminum core eliminates the risk of explosion. For the gamers and high-end users, this feature not only means that product has better quality components within, but also provide much stronger support while users want to engage in hard-core tuning.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: - Fast
- Drivers are solid
- Runs cool
- Double the performance from a 460 gtx
- Stomps on games and makes THEM cry
- Quiet even on heavy load

Cons: this card laughs at cons... and eats them

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to give life to my aging i7-2600k system and it did just that. The 460 gtx has made its way to my secondary sytem that had a 250 gtx, worthy upgrade on both. I am running all my games on max settings, of course this eats them alive still. Mechwarrior Online is as smooth as sild and Metro Last Light looks amazing. Love the card!

4 out of 5 eggsMSI video card

Pros: Good quality card - performs as expected.

Cons: None except for the miserable MIR

Other Thoughts: NO more MIR purchases!!! They are more trouble than worth. I shall NOT consider an MIR as a sales inducement in future purchases.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with the rebate process.
You needed to follow instructions by providing a valid invoice (not packing slip) with UPC code, and the rebate document.
If you were denied, the rebate center would generally allow you to resubmit again, but not if you missed the deadline.

However, if you have any issues with your rebate claim, then please contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will see what we can do for you.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
MSI Review Team | usreview@msi.com

4 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: Been running solid so far, cooler works well and is quieter than the previous card at stressed levels. can handle AutoDesk Revit screeen regens and model manipulation very smoothly.
Afterburner woks well for overclocking this card.

Cons: Be sure your case is well ventilated, which should not be a problem.

Other Thoughts: would like 2, but my MB is a mATX, cards would be right next to each other which may make the fan inefficient for one of the cards

5 out of 5 eggsvery good

Pros: this is a very good card, its able to play MC with around 500 fps not that a monitor will display that many. but still very good, yet very quiet surprisingly. maxed out WEI at 7.9

Cons: it makes a really high pitched noise for some reason in the submenues of minecraft. if your older you won't be able to here it.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: Genuinely happy with this purchase !

Great bang for your buck.

Changing over from an EVGA GTX 280 to this MSI GTX 660Ti 3GB has been an eye opener. Runs practically every game on high (1920*1200) without breaking a sweat.

Fantastic cooler. Really good temperatures and near silent (idle or load). What more could you ask for?

Tweak this card and scare a couple GTX670's? Hell's yes!

Cons: 2GB vs 3Gb is debatable but venture into 2500*1600 territory and things should become clearer.

Wish I had the cash to SLI :-(

1 out of 5 eggsHelp me please!

Pros: Ran solid for the first few days

Cons: After the third day all my games I run make the graphics card crash. sometimes the system will freeze with a screen with green blocks and then come back and other times the system will green screen and completely shut down and reboot.I dont want to RMA it yet because I'm not sure if this is a GPU or PSU issue. Im running a 650w power supply

Other Thoughts: Please help!

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsCan't have too much vram...

Pros: Symmetric address space for the 660 ti memory controllers: 1G per each of the three 64 bit controllers, which yields more VRAM than I'll ever need for a single HD monitor set up.
The TF cooler: effective and quiet even at stressing performance levels.
Ripping good performance; ability to OC VRAM and clock to achieve a stable 10% boost over the out-of-box performance.
Ideal for SLI cards driving huge resolutions.

Cons: The TF cooler exhausts its heat into your case (but nothing that decent case ventilation can't handle). I know this is a super tiny con but it's worth mentioning somewhere.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I went with this card over the MSI PE edition was that a local retailer had it on sale, along with a rebate, which took over 20% off the egg's asking price. Upgraded my 2 year old MSI gtx 560 ti TF whose primary fault was its (now paltry) 1GB. Hopefully 3GB will have some long term staying power. BTW, the 660 ti performance clearly outclasses the 560 ti and I'm immensely enjoying that too.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more from this card. I upgraded from a Nvidia GTX 560 TI. Unbelievable is all I have to say. Night and day difference. Frames in Diablo 3 went from 40-50 fps when fighting elite packs to 220+ fps. World of Warcraft was the same way, 200+ fps everywhere I went. By the way this is with all settings cranked as high as they can go (ultra). Haven't yet attempted to play Planetside 2 or Borderlands 2, but I assume it would be the same case.

If you are looking for a very solid card that will work with new games coming out in 2013, then purchase this card. The warranty is easy to register for and is I believe 3 years. This gives enough time for you to save and purchase another card in 3 years :). In addition, you can over clock this card very easily with the provided software (MSI Afterburner).

For the negative comment about the warranty below, I currently have not had any problems. Just make sure you have everything they list on the rebate form and you should be all right. I will add another comment if I have any trouble with the rebate, but assume I will not.

Cons: I don't understand why more top end graphics cards do not have 256-bit GDDR5, but oh well. Not free.
