Step up to the MSI N660TI-2GD5/OC VGA card for a new level of gaming experience with amazing visual brilliance and environmental interaction in the blockbuster titles. Based on the graphics-optimized 28nm Kepler architecture, the GeForece GTX 660 Ti packs powerful SMX shaders and abundant amount of memory, which deliver reality-redefining performance to render a smooth, true-to-life imagery in the FPS, RTS, MMORPG and RACING games. The GPU Boost technology extracts more performance by dynamically increasing the clock speed when it's needed most. And with Military Class III components and Propeller Blade technology, the MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti promises you unmatched reliability and stability to game hard, even under extreme conditions.

  • newegg Military Class III Components MSI Military Class III components have passed rigorous MIL-STD-810G testing by an independent testing laboratory to deliver the ultimate guarantee in quality and stability. Military-grade components used on this card include Hi-c CAP, 30% more powerful SFC and Solid CAP with a service life of up to 10 years. The choice of materials reflects MSI's commitment to product quality, ensuring the smoothest and most dependable user experience for overclockers and gamers alike.
  • newegg Superior Cooling Large cooling fan with high quality heatsink delivers efficient and effective heat removal under any load level. Propeller Blade Technology generates 20% more airflow than traditional fan design. The grooved surface on the fan blade further extends the range of air flow for optimized cooling.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Unstable

Pros: The card runs cool under load and delivers rock solid framerates

Cons: Unstable. The card cause hard locks and BSoDs consistently when playing games. It's not a heat or driver issue. After doing some research, this appears to be a common issue with this card. It seems to be a problem with the way the card manages voltage.

Buy at your own risk.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
The issue has nothing to do with the over-voltage design, if this is what you were referring to.
In rare cares, the overclocked GPU may not handle the overclocking speed, plus it might had slipped through the QC.
Please try using MSI Afterburner and reduce GPU core speed to 915MHz and see if it helps with the issue.
If the card works with 915MHz without issues then please let us know at usreview@msi.com, thank you.

Best Regards,
MSI Review Team | usreview@msi.com

2 out of 5 eggsWas nice for a while

Pros: Solid performance, quiet enough, heatpipes look nice in case.

Cons: The DVI-D port failed after a few months of use, I was able to correct it for a while by playing with the cables, but it's finally gotten to the point where when I do get it to display (rarely) I'm getting severe artifacts making it entirely unusable. $280 for a card seems like a bit much for faulty hardware.

Other Thoughts: I've been told by many of my friends that MSI makes bum hardware, but I never really believed them as my Motherboard is also MSI and it works fine after I flashed the BIOS to the most current version. Hugely disappointed with MSI.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
Hopefully your next replacement card will work as it's supposed to, and we will also take care of your rebate issue even though you had sent in a packing list instead of an invoice.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat graphics power at a great price!

Pros: Upgraded from ATI Radeon HD5800. Handles games at full detail with no issues. Drivers are fantastic and the nVidia Experience sets optimal settings for games and downloads the latest driver release.

Great card from MSI!

Cons: Fans are audible when in the middle of a gaming session, but not distracting.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card

Pros: Great card for the money spent. It played almost every game on high to highest settings. It ran my Three monitors at 5760x1200 with 45+ FPS. Single monitor gaming it ran everything at 60+ FPS. No cons at all with the card.

Overclocks to the GTX 670's base specs!

Cons: Not always playable FPS with 3 monitors in 2d surround.

Loud at full Fan.

3 out of 5 eggsbuyer beware - driver problems

Pros: While it worked, the card performed very well and is reasonably priced.

Cons: There is a widespread error where the screen goes black and an error message pops up saying "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered..." Looking into fixes I find people with this problem dating back to mid 2012, and currently there seems to be no solution. Rolling back to old drivers doesn't fix the issue. I tried multiple versions dating back to August of 2012. My PSU is plenty powerful (750W), I've monitored GPU temperatures and it will still error even at low temps (~30C).

Nvidia posted this on their support forums https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/389688/geforce-drivers/nvidia-statement-on-tdr-errors-display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-/ essentially saying "it's window's fault and it could be caused by anything" i.e. you're out of luck. There are lots of proposed fixes, up to and including a full reinstall of Windows, but plenty of people still have the issue.

I'm going to keep looking for a solution. I'll post it if I find something that works, but if I can't find one then I'll have to RMA the card.

Other Thoughts: Card worked perfectly for several days then this error started.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize that you are experiencing driver issues. If you continue having issues, we recommend getting an RMA so we can replace your card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: lots of ump under hood.
runs all the games i have thrown at it on full grpahics.
far cry 3, dishonored, hawken, planet side 2, guild wars 2, WoW, SYRIM, are all maxed out at 60 frames per second for me on ultra graphics

Cons: only one fan and 900mghz

Other Thoughts: dont let the one fan and the 900 mhz compared to the other modles twin tower and 1kmhz get you down. This card perfomrs just as well as the others and stay cool as well espechially if you can get80 to 100 $ cheaper than those models!! im wiaitng for it to go back on sale so i can sli just to do it! I love this card, its not a titan but it pack quite a blast

5 out of 5 eggsworth every penny

Pros: Very good for $280
Runs Natural Selection 2 60fps on ultra with AA
Runs assassins creed 3 on unltra at around 60fps
Will be doing TRI SLI of these once I need to (that's my future proofing)
Card was easy to install
easy drivers
easy to OC even tho it comes OC'ed
looks nice
quit fan for me, but if u crank it manually to 100% dam n fan is a BEAST! but loud and totally unnecessary.
Came with adaptors
HDMI works great
Runs my main monitor and my 42 inch 1080p tv both at same time no problem.

Cons: only 1 fan
Prices will drop if you can wait for a great deal
2gb < 3gb

Other Thoughts: I never had an MSI graphics card before. But my recent MOBO that just blew out after 5 years of hard gaming was MSI so I figured if they MOBO can take that kind of abuse then Maybe the GPU's can too.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card. No problems so far. Using it for heavy gaming, playing games like Skyrim with graphics mods and The Witcher 2 at near max settings with no slowdowns. Was able to overclock it even further with no problem, for even more performance

Cons: one of the, i guess you would call it a screw hole that connects the cover to the card was broken upon arrival. No noticeable problems or stability issues, so no egg deduction.

Other Thoughts: FM2-A55M-E33
A10-5800k
660ti
8GB ram

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card

Pros: I got this card when it was on sale and with the 30 dollar rebate. Excellent value.
Runs SC2, Diablo 3, and League of Legends with no slow downs even at the highest settings. Most of the time I'll even have multiple monitors running as well while running these games, and it handles the games just the same.
Under load, I've never seen it at a temperature greater than 55 degrees C, which makes me a happy camper.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had to update the BIOS on my motherboard because it wasn't initially compatible with the card. Just took me an extra 30 minutes to get it up and running though, so no fault on the card's part.
