4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Budget Card

Pros: I have been using this video card for six months now and I am very satisfied. I am running two monitors via VGA (one of which is DVI-to-VGA converted) with a HDTV plugged in via HDMI on occasion. So far the card's fan runs very quietly - even at higher speeds. I should note that I have not been able to fully benchmark the card's performance, because my motherboard is very old. However, I've been able to play games such as Battlefield 3, Bioshock Infinite, and Crysis 2 at 60+ FPS on higher settings.

- DVI-to-VGA adapter included
- quiet fan, even at high speeds
- runs current AAA games at higher settings

Cons: The only problem I've encountered is with AMD's drivers for this card (which probably isn't MSI's fault). If Adobe Flash is running and I let the computer automatically turn off my monitors, my video card will sometimes become non-responsive. Restarting with shortcut keys usually resolves the problem, but this is a minor annoyance I wish did not exist.

- AMD driver bugs

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is an excellent graphics/video card for any gamer on a budget. I will definitely consider purchasing from MSI again and would recommend this line of cards to friends.

1 out of 5 eggsGood for a few months

Pros: This card can run new games on high setting

Cons: Ive only had this card for a few months and its started doing this weird static noise that cut in and out while watching any kind of videos. I tried everything from switching hdmi cables to checking drivers. I sent the card in and they claimed to fix it. Its still doing the same thing!

Other Thoughts: I know its the card cause my intel motherboards HDMI port works flawlessly. Im running a IBUYPOWER Windows 8.1, 8gb ram with an i5 3570k.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Fits in my case just fine. Quiet. Can handle all my mid rig gaming needs. Since I am running little bit of an older processor and a ram. AM2 and ddr2 4gbs... Initializing games takes some time. But, once I am in I can play almost all games on high resolution. absolutely love the card..

Cons: Didn't come with good games from the Bronze Radeon game bundle.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat older cards

Pros: I have two in Crossfire and they can still run pretty much anything I throw at them in Ultra or High settings. Windows 8 Pro installed working drivers right out of the box which was kind of surprising. I did update them, but it was nice having them work with nothing being done other than installing them. They come with an overclocking tool which works for basic overclocking.

Cons: None...other than they did not come with a bridge to run them is Crossfire.

Other Thoughts: I believe that these cards would be good enough for the average user/gamer for the next couple of years. They run EQ2, WoW, SWTOR all on the highest settings with no issues. I have been able to play CoD: Ghosts on High with no issues either.

3 out of 5 eggsGraphics are good, sound not so much

Pros: Im able to play alot of todays games on at least high setting with no lag

Cons: For some reason Im getting a crackly noise from my speakers ever once in awhile. I switched hdmi to the Integrated Intel graphics and no crackly noise, so Im guessing its the card itself

Other Thoughts: Ive only had this card since fall 2013 and im disappointed that the sound is going out. Ive tried it on the DVI plug in as well and it stil does it with my DVI to HDMI adapter. I know its not my TV cause my ps4 runs on it with no faults. Unfortunately I think my warranty is up....SO time to purchase a different brand card next time around.

1 out of 5 eggscould be a good card, if it worked

Pros: Runs cool, so could be a good heatsink/fan

Cons: since I bought this the card will not hold a stable clock (factory clocks) using the MSI Afterburner tool to monitor temps/speeds, the core clock will go from 1050 MHz to 200 and keep jumping, resulting in unplayable games, freezes and display driver crashes. The temps never rise above 50*c so I think I got a bad card.
But since there was a rebate and I had to send in the serial/etc, it is not returnable, so I am stuck with a defective card.

I have tried every version of Catalyst drives including the latest beta trying to get this to work, and running the DDU utility to clean, but all with the same results.

Other Thoughts: I normally stick with Sapphire, but decided to try MSI on this, and am disappointed with this card.

My previous Sapphire 6770 outperforms this one. I just wish I held on to it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
Depending on the ASIC quality, the OC result varies, besides the card was already overclocked from the factory therefore the remaining headroom for overclocking could be limited.
For performance comparison, you can run PerformanceTest on the 7790 as well as your 6770 to verify the score, see below links.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great video card for it's price. I wish it weren't sold out right now so I could buy another and enable crossfirex. It can run all of my games on ultra (Including Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3, GTA IV, etc). I get about 250-350FPS on Minecraft. Efficient.

Cons: After I bought Battlefield 4 while it was 50% off on Origin Black Friday, it would only run it on medium to high. I believe it is also the problem of why I get the blue screen of death on BF4. I will hopefully be able to resolve that problem.

Other Thoughts: Overall ok graphics card. I would give it 4 stars not because of the BF4 problem, but the BF4 problem shows awareness that this card will become older soon for the next generation games. It is an overall great graphics card for budget PCs. I would use this card if I were to create and sell PCs because of it's price and quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing budget Card.

Pros: This card is awesome for the price. I run Planetside 2 and Battlefield 4 both at High settings with about 50 to 60 FPS. Temps stay around 50 to 60 degrees. I replaced my 6670 with this and couldn't be happier.

Cons: It can get loud under load.
