4 out of 5 eggsAmazing 1080p Card But a bit loud

Pros: Great performance
Great price
MSI (AfterBurner) [Yay]

Cons: Noise! It is only rivaled by amd's stock cooler that i actually have in my pc with the gtx 760. Only gripe. No other issues.

Other Thoughts: Ive had this card for about 3 months and i have to say, for my first PC build, I made some great choices for parts and the MSI GTX760 was no exception. All in all, a great card as long as you have a silence optimized case or are upgrading for a liquid cooling loop for the gpu. No problem for Bf4 1080p 60fps on high to ultra and the temps are great (once again probably because of the noisy fan that does do a good job. Im sure you can change that in the afterburner settings.) Also, make sure you have 2x 6 pin pci-e power connectors because this gpu is power hungry.

4 out of 5 eggsa very decent video card

Pros: I upgraded from a 9600 so right off the bat, this card was impressive. I've been a gaming fool since I got this card and I can't believe what I've been missing in these games! I have the settings in most games cranked up to ultra and this card plays them with very good frame rates. 60fps in most games. Far Cry 4 and Dying Light are the only 2 games that even begin bog this card down. But not by much. In these games I turn off anti aliasing and it runs very smooth and you don't even notice a change in quality. At first I thought the temps were too high but after reading reviews on here, they seem pretty typical. 85f when not gaming but that shoots up to between 135f - 155f when gaming. From what I've been reading these are actually good temperatures.
Now, they could go higher if you don't take advantage of the MSI Afterburner program. With Afterburner you can create custom fan profiles or just use the default profile. These profiles increase the fan's speed based on the current temperature and the default profile doesn't get the fan up to 100% unless you're getting close to 180f. I created my own profile so that the fan is at 100% when it exceeds 120f and using this profile, gaming doesn't get it over 155f. So for those complaining about excessive temperature need to take advantage of this program.

Cons: The fan is kinda loud when it reaches 100% but it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I've had 2 BSODs referencing the video card as the source but that was at the beginning of ownership and I've had no more. It could've been breaking in.

Other Thoughts: Excellent performance for the money!

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: worked while it did, died (4/14~ 12/14)
RMA'd
Got it back
and it's still dead.

Cons: 2nd from top shelf, 780 was the only thing better...
It DIED, (4/14~ 12/14)
BSOD died,
Made me think it was the PS,so I replaced that 1st, DIED
Taking the Windows installation with it DIED.

Other Thoughts: Normally, I'd go looking for other issues, but the BSOD specifically names the graphics driver as the culprit. I had replaced the PS already. Sent it off to MSI (out $33 for the ship) 2 weeks later I get the same card back with exactly the same problem. A company can save lots of money shipping their defective hardware back to you. after sitting on it for a week.
I'm thinking the divorce is on it's way, too bad too, I've been using them from the start (early `90?)

Based on the symptom you reported, we suggest you checking following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this ,
1. Check and make sure that power are connected correctly and firmly.
2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory, CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue.
3. If possble verify the video card on another working system to check.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: Newegg was very fast in approving the refund.

Cons: The card shipped broken and had to be refunded. i understand that this occasionally happens but I still think that it should reflect on the score of a product in the store.

Other Thoughts: i was warned away from buying MSI, I don't know if this is indicative of their usual quality, however i have been told that many of their products are cheaply made, and often dysfunctional.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the product, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will be more than happy to assist you, thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsBig step up from my AMD 6770

Pros: Clean looking card, runs most Rift Tech Demo's at 75 FPS on my DK2, my AMD 6770 was running around 35 FPS, and was $170 when I pulled the trigger, seemed like a great deal for something to come close to an effective setup for messing about with VR (which is all I'm really doing). Can now do fast rendering in Blender 2.72 Cycles :)

Oh also plays TF2/HL2 super smooth at higher quality levels than I could achieve before.

Cons: Probably going to be superseded by the, rumoured, GTX 960 early in Q1 '15 which will probably be some % faster than the 760 at around the same $200 price point, per online gossip but likely not so much faster that I'd consider taking a loss on the 760 to buy a 960.

Other Thoughts: Recommends a 500W PSU so had to buy a new one as my old PC had a 380W unit, not a ding on the product but something to bear in mind if you built a mid-range PC and spec'd the original power supply for a lower end graphic card like I did.

3 out of 5 eggsOC out of the box, good performance for the price

Pros: Comes OC out of the box, easy to install, clean looking overall, and at the time of purchase it was only $169.99. Very good price/performance ratio.

Cons: Low quality fan motor. Loud as a hairdryer and I don't play games with headphones which only makes matters worse. If you're looking for a better variant of the same card you should pick one with at least 2 non blower style fans.

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice card! Slow shipping...

Pros: Good noise level, not too loud, runs all of my games at 60fps flawlessly, when run through the MSI Kombustor testing program it maintained a constant 60 degrees Celsius on all tests at full GPU load, including the fractal flame and furry test, I was very impressed with this card!

Cons: Shipping was a week over what it should have been, but it is the holidays so I can understand why, but not really for a week over, that is just ridiculous. Would be 5 stars other than that.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card overall, you will not be dissapointed at all, just make sure to get next day shipping so you aren't stuck waiting like I did.

5 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: Got this for 170$ and I love it so much. I have been playing a ton of battlefield maxed out at 60fps (occasional drops in intensive situations) I haven't noticed any overheating issues like some other people have been having as I got done with a 6 hour marathon of battlefield then quickly turned off my computer and touched the card and it simply felt a little warm. My case has one vent in the back and only a cpu fan. Also I think this card looks very nice, and has great packaging, I kept the boxes because they look cool.

Cons: To be honest I haven't noticed any, I am very happy with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsMSI 760

Pros: I bought this card for my sisters first gaming computer. I was on a budget of 600 and I decided to get this card. I am not disappointed at all. This thing is amazing for the price. I haven't put it through a lot of graphic intense games, but it runs incredibly smooth with what I have thrown at it.

Cons: None
