4 out of 5 eggsDecent Card

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Runs everything I have played maxed out no problem, then again I haven't played anything brand new Diablo 3 but that't not the most demanding game ever.

Cons: There are a lot of factors that come into play but I have owned this card 7 months without a single problem until the other day I was playing a game and it keep stuttering on my dropping down to 5 or so FPS and noticed a fan in my tower was slowing down. Quickly tabbed out and checked temps noticed my GPU spiked to 90c when it usually sits in the mid 60's during game. I turned the AC on in my house and blew the dust off the card and it didn't happen again. I would just suggest leaving your AC on or upgrading the cooling system if you live in a hot environment.

Other Thoughts: I generally buy ASUS products but my last build i bought MSI all the way. I have had minor issues that i have never had before. Then again ASUS has its own minor issues here and there. It's not a bad card it will do what you need but its by no means perfect.

Size maybe? But really, it isn't any larger than any other card and smaller than quite a few!

Other Thoughts: After purchasing this I quickly got another to update my wife's system as well, As soon as I upgrade my mother board I will be buying another two for dual video cards.

1 out of 5 eggsFan spinning loudly and no longer works

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Was cool and was a great card while it worked. Good price to performance ratio.

Cons: 8 months later, I was playing a game (FIFA 14 so not even that demanding) and suddenly the screen went blank and a fan in my system started to go out of control. I unplugged the system and tested that it was only the GPU fan that was doing this. My motherboard had done a successful POST, so the motherboard was not at fault

Other Thoughts: I will try RMA, but a card shouldn't die on you after 8 months. Very poor work by MSI.

3 out of 5 eggs280L

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: cooling works...

Cons: Not as easy to set up as you might hope.

Other Thoughts: I went as far as to ask NZXT who made the case to see if it would fit before i ordered it. (Phantom 630) It fits just not with my standard sized board. Another note the screws holes that work with the fans strip very easily. My first problem 1 striped so i had to replace that fan with a 120m fan. (not even snug by my standards which is 3 finger snug) Next i couldn't place the unit in my case because their wasn't enough clearance room between the board with the additional power cable plugged in because the screw from fan to the radiator. (placed at the top where i have to install the system.) So i had to replace that fan with another 120m. That moved the screw for the 140 over enough to circumvent the issue. Luckily i have two 200m fans above the radiator so it should have enough of airflow. Mainly im aggravated that the screws striped... like threadings of tin foil. I'm surprised i had to replace the fans even with such a large case however it still works.

1 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: -Could have been amazing performance wise

Cons: -It causes severe problems and started to die almost 3 months after I got it. I didn't realize until about a month left on the return policy, when I contact MSI and told them I need to replace it quickly before it expires, they suddenly don't even want to talk or respond, they are waiting till a full year is up so they don't have to.

I am never buying MSI EVER again.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Fast delivery, easy installation

Cons: I'm disappointed. I had bought the card to replace an old one (2 year old card). I had hopped to see a significant performance improvement on World of Warcraft (better frame rate) but it was no change to the old card. I could have saved that money.

5 out of 5 eggsBest GPU in terms of offered performance for the asking price

This review is from: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: When I was shopping for a video card to go with my new PC build, I wanted a video card that would last me at least 3 years, with the ability to run the games of the previous year at the highest graphical settings. The game I was basing my requirements on was Rome II Total War on a single 1080p monitor. And I couldn't be happier with my choice. I am able to run all the Total War games on high without any lag or stuttering. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag runs at a steady 45-50 fps; all my simulation games such as FSX runs smoothly at the highest graphical settings--granted, that FSX is a CPU intensive game, so this observation really has no weight. I cannot comment upon first person shooter games such as Battlefield 4, Metro, Watch Dogs, etc because I do not play them; neither can I comment on its video editing abilities. So far, it has been able to handle any game that I have thrown at it--granted, I have not tried certain GPU taxing games such as Skyrim, Hitman Absolution, etc.

I choose the MSI brand for two reasons: first, I previously built a PC using the MSI 270X and was really impressed with its cooling and how silent it ran even under load. Second, my motherboard is the Z97 MSI Gaming 5 and I wanted to keep with the red dragon theme in my build--you cannot go wrong with a black and red theme light with white LEDs.

I think the only downside to its performance would be if you combined it with sub par PC components, such as an older CPU. I have a i5-4670K, SeaSonic 620W PSU, with 8 GB of RAM and a ASUS 1980X1080, 60 Hz, 2 ms monitor. The draw on my PSU under load has never exceeded more than 300W and I believe that it drew 300W only once. The temps under load are also very low--40C-50C; it idles between the high twenties and low thirties. This low temperature range could be due to my cooling configuration in my PC case (NZXT Phantom 410). I have dual 120 mm intake fans in the front, and single 120 mm exhaust fan in the rear and 2 140 mm exhaust fans on the top of the case--all running at the high RPMs. The MSI blade design can be attributed to the low fan noise of the video card's fans. Under load, I can barely hear it even though the case is at waist level about 2 feet away; at idle, you would think that it's not even working--I had to open my case and take a peek inside, it's that silent!!!

Overall, it is a good video card for $250 as offered by Newegg. An added bonus is the free Watch Dogs gaming certificate that they offer with your purchase. And since it is overclocked from the factory, you do not have to worry about extracting the most performance you can for the price you paid. In terms of overclocking, I cannot offer any feedback since I did not attempt to do so. I conclusion, for the price and performance it offers, you cannot get a better deal than the MSI GTX 760.

Cons: In my pros, I did not state its performance or lack of it on dual monitors or monitors with higher resolutions than 1080p. I will be adding a second monitor shortly, but probably will not be using it for gaming except for FSX. I guess the only concern using dual monitors would be the increase in temperatures since the video card has to power the graphics to two monitors. I know that due to its 2 GB VRAM, it limits its ability to smoothly project graphics on higher resolutions such as 2160p or 4320p (4K). You might be able to solve it with the 4 GB VRAM version of this card, but due to the lower bandwidth, it would be better to go with a GTX 770 or 780.
