5 out of 5 eggsBUY IT!

Pros: This card is great all i can say is wow! First off the card is good looking and very sturdy thanks to that back plate but I payed for performance, and it goes beyond my expectations. On bf3 multiplayer at stock speeds I never dip below 55fps and have seen it hit 100fps! I can imagine the results will be similar in bf4 too. Its a great overclocker too I can get the memory to 1600mhz and the core clock to 1225mhz no problem thanks afterburn. The temps are great to I can turn the fans up to 60% without hearing it over my case fans and it never goes over 45^C when overclocked and even lower at stock speeds.

Cons: Don't have enough money for two.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great bang for your buck and you shouldn't look elsewhere for the $250 range. I cant say anything for neweggs shipping service as i just bought from a local store. I can see myself in the near future buying a second and demolishing any game I can think of. I had an issue when i first got it as windows would not recognize the card no matter what and I couldn't download drivers or anything so I reloaded windows and problem solved, this isn't a con as windows had booting issues and so on before so it wasn't the cards fault.

3 out of 5 eggsHad to RMA the card

Pros: Compact card for a 270x, so it fits most cases.
Stays very cool, 59.0C at full load.
Attractive Design.
Color matches my MSI Z77 MPOWER BIG BANG Motherboard

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: The MSI Hawk card that NewEgg sent me caused my PC system to crash mere minutes after bootup, often even within seconds. Had to RMA.

I suspect this card was returned before by someone else because it had no plastic shrink wrap around the box and I noticed the box had a scissor cut, but who really knows. After RMA it took over three weeks before I received a new one.

The new one is working fine so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value, Great Price, Great Card

Pros: Keeps cool and quiet under heavy load. The backplate is a great addition for a "budget card". I put this in my first build, and frankly wasn't expecting much. Most reviews say it's a rebranded 7850 GHz edition, but MSI put an overclock on it and gave you head room to OC it even further. With everything maxed on the card, it's pushing 7950 GHz edition specs easily. I don't have one complaint and plan to get another for crossfire.

Cons: No cons as of yet, great job MSI!

Other Thoughts: My Specs:

AMD 6300 Vischera CPU
MSI 970A-G46 mobo
MSI 270X HAWK GPU
Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
WD Black 1TB HDD

4 out of 5 eggsuse an active adaptor for more than 2 displays

Pros: A note to one of the reviewers: you need to use an "active" display port adapter for using more than 2 displays. I bought some passive ones and had the same problem, but my card works with 3 displays with an Apple active display port adapter (other active adapters also work).

Great quality from MSI. Not that much faster with overclocking than the normal one, but the Radeon 280X is not available at the moment at its MSRP, so its not a bad value if you're buying before Christmas.

Cons: A little expensive.

3 out of 5 eggsAdaptors

Pros: Great value

Cons: Will not work with a Display port to HDMI or a Display port to DVI adaptor. While two other ports are in use. Also will not sync with a HDMI monitor correctly Tried 2 different models of acer monitors and one LG. I was able to get the card to display 3 screens with a display port to VGA adapter :(. Currently only able to make it work with 2 DVI monitors and one vga. I wanted to use 3 DVI's but no the card driver refused to activate. Had to use a display port to VGA boo that is no good.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have to give it to newegg regardless of this review, I have never had a bad product from them.

Cons: I have had this card less than a day and whether I re install the entire card with drivers or just try updating the drivers it does not matter. Windows will not recognize it no matter what I do. MSI Is no help at all which makes my wonder, why would you market a card if you have no knowledge on how to fix or tweak something that YOU MADE.

Other Thoughts: Newegg gets 5 stars from me for several great products that always arrive as scheduled with no damage and no hassle. but this card is getting one. Clearly that is on the cards aesthetic appeal.

5 out of 5 eggsFast-Quiet-Cool

Pros: My Passmark 3d score 5013. That is GTX 760 territory.
Cooler is incredibly quiet and keeps card cool.
Fabulous backplate. Card well made and sturdy.
Have not seen card go over 60c yet.
Zero coil whine playing games or at desktop.

Cons: None so far after about two weeks.

Other Thoughts: I realize this is a beefed up 7870 but it is still way better than what I had previously. I had two fanless 7750 Sapphire Ultimate's in crossfire because I do not like extra fan noise. While the performance was good with these cards crossfired (and silent) I did not like some of the quirks of xfire when playing some games. Was looking for a fast and low noise single card to replace what I had and this was exactly what I was looking for.

I am just amazed at how quiet and cool this card is as I cannot hear it in my case at all. Am running hdmi to a 40" Sony 1080p tv/monitor and everyhing I have runs smoothly.
