2 out of 5 eggsGood when it works

Pros: Excellent price for performance.

Cons: Will not 'turn on' with the rest of the computer all the time, whether booting up or resuming from sleep. This problem has steadily worsened, to the point now (~2mo after purchase) where I just wasted a half hour power cycling my computer with fingers crossed and getting nada. Just running off integrated graphics now. On close inspection, it appears that a one of the connecting leads on the bottom have partially flaked or chipped off or something. Not sure if that's the cause, though; it doesn't seem it would explain the problem's progressive nature, either..

Other Thoughts: MSI Z87-G45 MoBo, Rosewill Capstone 750W PSU. Voltages on the board look good.

2 out of 5 eggsCard failed after 3 months

Pros: Decent card for the original price of $220
Small and Compact

Cons: The fan broke after 3 months of use.
Dealing with MSI Support.
Now way over priced.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card back in November and it worked great till about at month ago. I had to send it back to MSI for repairs which took no longer then 15 days as the website stated. It's been over a month and I still don't have my video card back from repairs. They sent me a couple emails offering a low-ball refund because they said they don't have the parts or product in stock to replace it.

So now I am out a video card I never know when I'll get back. MSI support just seems horrible, I will never buy another prodcut from them again.

Not when there are good companies like XFX and Gigabyte that will just send you a free upgrade because they actually care about the customer and realize that it was their mistake and not yours.

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: None. Was only able to use card for a month.

Cons: Card only worked for a month. (Artifacts)

Other Thoughts: Update from first review.

During the RMA process one of their representatives informed me that the card was out of stock and that they could only offer a market value refund. This was considerably less than what I paid. After a few emails the representative was able to provide a refund of what I paid.

What I thought was going to be a nightmare turned out quite pleasantly. Their RMA representative was very professional and handled the situation accordingly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for the update!

1 out of 5 eggsConcerning Quality (Customer Service)

Pros: None at the moment. Began to see artifacts in a month.

Cons: -Card only worked for a month (Artifacts)

Other Thoughts: I understand that these things happen with electronic equipment, but here is my main concern. I have used MSI products for years and this is my first experience with their RMA service. So far I have been very disappointed. After waiting for twenty days, with no further response aside from them receiving my package, I finally get an email back. The email stated that the card is currently out of stock and they would offer me market value for the card. This was very upsetting concerning I used the card for only a month and now would have to take a $65.00 hit because of their faulty product. I replied to the email asking if there were any other available options and still have not received a response back.

So please keep this in mind when purchasing from MSI. If you purchase a product from them there is a chance, depending on whether or not your product works, that a portion of your money, the customer, will be wasted because of their products default.

2 out of 5 eggsMany technical problems

Pros: I bought three of these for mining cryptocurrency, and so far the ones I got to work work great.

Cons: The first problem we had was due to the size of the GPU. When we used screws and fastened it into the case it would be moved into a position where it would lose contact with the motherboard. We would never get a signal out of the GPU and couldn't figure out why. Ultimately we had to not screw it into the case and allow it the cards to lie the way they wanted to. We have to keep the tower on its side and can't stand it up because the GPUs aren't supported.

On another computer we have encountered a more serious problem. We have tried installing the drivers literally more than 20 times and the drivers won't install. We have tried both version 13.12, which is currently the most recent version for this operating system, and also tried the version 14 beta. The computer is running Windows Vista 64 bit. We ran a program to remove all traces of previous driver installations and still it won't install. I even bought a new hard drive so we could install a brand new version of windows on it and still the drivers won't install. AMD phone support didn't have an answer and told me to subit a ticket via email. It has now been 48 hours and I haven't gotten a solution from AMD.

2 out of 5 eggsFan broke after 2 months

Pros: It was a great hasher until the fan broke, I was getting 468khash, temps in the low 70s - very happy with the card for the first 2 months.

Cons: One of the fans seized and no longer functions - it was the fan with the MSI logo, as other reviewers have noted.

Other Thoughts: I've initiated the MSI RMA process, I will update this review to reflect the ease/timeliness of the process.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed

Pros: This graphics card was a replacement for my Radeon HD 6670 Series and I couldn't be happier. They are a little price because of all the Bitcoin mining going on but it runs every game I play on ultra no problem with good FPS. It is worth every cent you invest in it. Very high quality, AMD really is my favorate over Nividea anyday.

Cons: Kind of Bulky

Other Thoughts: If your new to computer hardware and installing new components do some research on the item. This Graphics card requires two 6pin PCI-E from the power supply, I needed to upgrade to a new power supply to install this but I couldn't be happier.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Card Bit Expensive Fix

Pros: Nice build quality. Runs every modern game at decent frame rates. Reputable company (Up their with XFX and Sapphire). Never hit 60 degrees under load and quiet.

Cons: Price is a little high at $279. But if u defiantly need a card I would buy this one. Also some artifacts on the screen with a couple games but I think it might be a software issue.

Other Thoughts: Like I said before I purchased somewhere else but it was $229 with Battlefield 4 ( not $329). Also while looking around I noticed some awesome looking deals ( like a Gigabyte 280x for $306) but the site looked kinda shady so I didn't pull the trigger. Be carefully! Or if someone else bought a 280x for that price then let me know.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card, Weird behavior

Pros: Good Card, good frame rates, good cooling!!

80c Max in Far Cry 3, FPS (Ultra) 34min and 44avg
75c Max In Planeside 2 FPS(Ultra) 32min and 50avg
Crysis 3 Max 80c

Cons: Weird behavior, Crashes sometimes during game play. Bad Card? Weak PSU? Not sure, tried many tests.

It might crash a game on start up, maybe after hours of play. You never know..

Some thing's that helped out; Disable GPU Audio, Force clock to 1080 Base, Force Constant Voltage, Fresh Install. All these things helped out with crashing. It only crashes ever 10 hours of play, and only during intensive gameplay.. Might replace my PSU soon, see how that goes.
