5 out of 5 eggsgreat card i have 2 in crosfire

Pros: easy to set up runs any game you throw at it in high or ultra settings had card for 3 years

Cons: my only con is Ryan G dum dum reveiw it not hard at all to find the drivers you need to know how to read lmfao the directions are simple and the drive cd dose auto start dont let this guys out dated computer and monitors maybe if he researched his monitor compatibly he dosent seem like someone that has ben doing this for 15 years 15 years old maybe here his cons witch are laughable

"Cons: The included installation CD did not auto load. The directions for installation need to be edited so you know what files/folders to look into exactly if your CD does not auto load. I had the hardest time finding the correct setup.exe file on the CD. After clicking every setup.exe file I could find multiple times I fell into the right one and the setup finally went through with ease. I have worked with computers for over 15 years and this was the most difficult install I have had to date." hahahahhahahah hes not the smartest

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible fan noise

Pros: R7 250 gives great performance for its low power consumption.

Cons: didn't start whining before a couple of weeks. I cut the UPC for you know what, so couldn't return my bad card.

Other Thoughts: Wish they spent more on quality control. Don't waste your money.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Leo,
Sorry to hear about the issue you reported. Before considering an RMA can you check following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this ,
1. Check and make sure that power are connected firmly, clear CMOS.
2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory,CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue.
3. Can you test the video card on another working system to check?

5 out of 5 eggsGood so far.

Pros: Snap it in your machine and go!

I hear no noise at all from the card.

Cons: The included installation CD did not auto load. The directions for installation need to be edited so you know what files/folders to look into exactly if your CD does not auto load. I had the hardest time finding the correct setup.exe file on the CD. After clicking every setup.exe file I could find multiple times I fell into the right one and the setup finally went through with ease. I have worked with computers for over 15 years and this was the most difficult install I have had to date.

Other Thoughts: My problem was my 2nd monitor wasn't being detected. After the install the 2nd monitor was being detected right away. I do not have a new machine which is probably the problem. I used to play online shooter games but haven't in awhile so I currently don't have anything to test this new card on.

Shipping was free, the product came nicely packaged, and fairly quick.

1 out of 5 eggsRebate needs to be sent in 15 days after purchase.

Pros: Decent card

Cons: 15 days after purchase to file rebate is silly when shipping is 5-10 days.
The rebate gamesmanship is just not for me.

Other Thoughts: I understand that the 15 day requirement was understandable if I read 5 pages of forms before I ordered.
But MSI will be dinged for poor customer experience, because that is just playing games.
Hooray! They won! They got the order and kept their rebate! And lost a customer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Neil,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with the rebate process.

Rebate must be completed through http://msi.4myrebate.com/.
Rebate is processed by a third party and you can contact them directly at 1-800-286-9146 and they will be more than happy to resolve this for you.

Please have your rebate information ready when you call.
If you still have any issues with the rebate center, then please let us know at usreview@msi.com and we will see what we can do for you as well.

Thank you for choosing MSI.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for A10-7850 dual graphics on MSI motherboard

Pros: Small form factor; three outputs: hdmi, vga, and dvi; quiet fan; great price; great performance boost for a budget build: plays Crysis 2 on triple monitor setup, "very high" graphics settings, at 5600x900 very smoothly; 3D Mark score on par with "gaming laptops" at 1/3 the total build cost.

Cons: Output ports close together: if you're using a wide DVI-to-HDMI adapter for one monitor in a multi-monitor set-up, the adapter will block access to the adjacent DVI and VGA outputs, easily overcome with a short HDMI male-to-female adaptor cable (minor issue).

Other Thoughts: By itself, this card won't be the fastest thing you can buy, but if you already have an AMD A10-7850K APU set-up with a free PCI-E 3.0 X16 slot on your motherboard, dual graphics (formerly known as hybrid crossfire) is a good upgrade that won't break the bank or require much work to install if you already have the latest AMD Catalyst drivers running.

1 out of 5 eggsCard was DOA out of the box

Pros: Unable to use it

Cons: Package not sealed only has a piece of tape on anti-static bag and it is hard to say if it has been tampered with.

Other Thoughts: Submitted the rebate prior to installing the card and now newegg said that they couldn't do anything in spite of the fact that it has not been even 30 days since I purchased it. With the manufacturer RMA I will have to wait several weeks and may just end up with a refurbished card when I paid for a brand new one.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Ariel,
There is "no" known issue with our MSI video card. If you have any question or cocern regarding our MSI video card you purchased, Please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email at usreview@msi.com or by phone at 626.271.1004 M-F, 9AM-6PM PST. We will be more than happy to assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsMSI Radeon R7 250-A great and affordable upgrade/addition to Intel Interagrated or AMD APU Graphics-DX12 Supported

Pros: Includes-This graphics card in an anti-static bag, instruction manual, drivers disc
Fast Installation-Only uses power from PCIe port and not from the power supply, so essentially plug-n-play
Low power consumption-Will Work with a recommended 400w PSU and consumes 48w .
Small-Will fit in almost all Micro Motherboards and Cases
Affordable-I got it for $60, but $45 after I claim the rebate
Not only graphics- This card can also improve the quality of audio through HDMI
Fast Memory at 1100Mhz maximum, but a lower bandwidth due to DDR3
Playable-This card will play almost all AAA Title video games at 720 or even 1080p low-med at 45-60fps
Not just for gaming- This card was an upgrade over my HD4600 Integrated graphics with my i7-4790k, and it improves how fast videos buffer and loads webpages much faster in addition to increasing gaming performance
Reduces Stress-Using integrated graphics from Intel CPUs can also take out of your processing power if the Integrated Graphics is not able to handle it all
Cool-Not only a cool design, but it runs at low idle temperatures of 26C and about 55C under load (my case has good airflow)
Silent-On up to 75% fan speed it can barely be heard from my case

Cons: -When I was installing the drivers (v15.12), the installation froze up at some times, but I believe everything was properly installed. I had to avoid any interaction with the computer in the installation process to finish, even though progress froze and showed a constant "2% completed"

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this card to people who want a faster daily computing experience and a better light gaming experience. This card is very difficult to beat in the performance it supplies at this cost playing games such as League of Legends, CS:GO, and even older AAA titles at 1080p with decent settings. If you want 1080p maxed with newer titles at playable frame rates, this card will not work so well unless if used with AMD APUs.

*Installation Process (How I install my components to lower initial device failure rates)(Screwdriver Recommended)
Beforehand, open the package of the graphics card, do not set the card down on the back of the card that has the circuitry, make sure to set that card down on the side that has the fan. Be careful not to touch the side with circuitry, you can hold at the edges but should not at the side.
1. Save all files and shut down computer.
2. Unplug all devices from USB and cables from the desktop, as well as the main Power cable going to the power supply
3. Press your power button for 30 seconds to discharge any extra electricity
4. Try to go to a marble or wooden floor (kitchen works the best) if you have one, and touch some piping under the sink or any metal device, if you want extra protection, you can use an anti-static wristband.
5. Bring your desktop to the floor, open the panel to your chassis using, and you should see your motherboard.
6. Find which PCIe Port you will use on your motherboard.
7. Try lining the card up with the PCIe port to see which metal strips on your case you will need to remove if any.
8. Take the red safety caps off of the graphics card, try not to hold the card from the golden pins that go into the PCIe port.
9. If your PCIe port has a lever, make sure to pull or push it to open the port, and slide the card into the PCIe port. Use screw from the metal strips to secure the card in place, it should not wobble too much or fall out.
10. Put your panel back on, plug your HDMI DVI or D-Sub cable into your graphics card's output on the end of the card that should be sticking out of your case slightly, plug cables that you pulled initially, and turn on your power supply, and turn the computer on.
11. When you boot to your OS, do not fear if your resolution changes, if you have a DVD drive, put the provided MSI Disc into the player and install the drivers. If you do not, go to the AMD website and find Drivers, that will download a program and install according to this card. Your screen may flicker, and when installing do not click or interact with your computer.
12. Congratulations, you have installed this graphics card!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for older systems

Pros: Quiet, nice graphics

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Ordered it on the 18th, got it today(Sunday) to replace an ailing gpu, downloaded the lasted driver for it (12-17-2015). Very quiet, takes up 2 slots but not a concern for me. Using it on an old AMD FX-6100 rig.
