4 out of 5 eggsStomps Hard and stays stomping.

Pros: I purchased this card as part of a new gaming build to make sure that I could run BF4 with all the bells and whistles and I was NOT disappointed. Game runs great and smooth (Even though I bought the wrong board and processor) and I wouldn't trade this card for the world.

*Runs cool and quiet even close to max load (though the stock software runs the fan dynamically you can tweak it for full power if you want)

*4 Gig model helps with lifecycle of my gaming machine

*Affordable enough to buy to and crossfire.

Cons: *Its big and unwieldy but what card isn't these days. (Want power? Make room for it!)

*Its a solid card buy I would of rathered it be a closed cooling solution so I can vent the exhaust one way.

1 out of 5 eggsFail.

Pros: Was fairly efficient when it ran (less than 6 months). It clobbered Battlefield 4 & Far Cry 3.

Cons: Only lasted between 5 and 6 months. Windows 7 would only boot to where the Windows symbol comes up but not to the login/username screen. (dark gray screen). Tried different drivers/versions of Catalyst. Reinstalled Windows 7. I spent hour and everything failed although oddly it WOULD boot into Safe Mode. Only got my computer to boot to Windows when I took out the 270X and put in my old 1 GB Nvidia card, and that only took minutes to get set up.

Other Thoughts: This was my first Radeon card. Quite probably will be the last -- the other 4 computers I built and still own (the wife & kids each have one) all have Nvidia cards. May get an EVGA / NVIDIA one.

Dear Valued Customer,
Based on the symptom you reported, we suggest you checking following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this ,
1. Check and make sure that power are connected correctly and firmly (JPWR1 and JPRW2).
2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory, video card, CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue.
3. If possible verify the MSI video card on another working system or verify another working card on your motherboard to check.

2 out of 5 eggsIssues from the start

Pros: Was very cost effective for what you get, while it works.

Cons: Now that I've been running this card since mid February it is on it's last legs. I did not overclock it or anything, and I'm looking at having to replace it already.

Since day one I was getting minor issues, such as the graphics card crashing and causing my PC to freeze while watching bluray movies in full screen, or playing games that put a heavy load on it (EVE online, skyrim). It now crashes constantly and consistently whenever I attempt to play any game that was made post 2008. I originally believed it was a power supply issue but I no longer believe that with how poorly the card has been performing.

Other Thoughts: Overall; while the card worked it worked great.

3 out of 5 eggsBuy the Ext. Warranty

Pros: This card can definitely handle its weight in gaming, I've played multiple games maxed out with very little to no lag or stutter.

It's a really awesome card imo but seems to over heat extremely fast.

Cons: I would say if you're considering this card to buy the biggest warranty you can because of the horrendous heating problems this thing will cause and more than likely will fry itself.

I'm not happy with this at all, personally, spending so much on a card just for it to fall to piece after 6 months of ownership.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine

Pros: Stays cool even during 100 degree summer days.
4GB of RAM on a mid-range card is very useful for multi-monitor setups. Overclocking is made simple with Afterburner.

Cons: It is a big card due to the fans.
It is too easy to miss the piece of paper that is packaged informing the installer to set the switch on the card for a legacy bios or a hybrid one, causing startup issues when configured wrong.

Other Thoughts: I have not run into the card leaking oil as others have mentioned. I have overclocked the card quite a bit as well and no issues over a 6 month period. In my opinion, those who have had issues getting no video at startup more than likely have the switch configured wrong on the card for the bios config.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not support 3 monitors

Pros: Runs games on ultra, quiet fans. Free games came with it.

Cons: Does not support 3 monitors. I currently have my main monitor hooked up to the display port, my second to HDMI, and third to DVI. Only two of them work. There is no way in AMD catalyst to use all three monitors. Very disappointed by this. I have read reviews where others are able to hook up 3 however despite my knowledge cannot seem to make it work.

quiet fans
great look and feel, very sturdy
great performance and bang for buck

Cons: none!

Other Thoughts: i absolutely love this card. i got the 4 gig model and it supports my 3 23in monitors and a 40in tv with zero issues. ill have fb on one, battlelog on another, bf4 on one and the battlelog field view on the tv, and it handles it wonderfully. I play A LOT of games and this card by far beats out anything ive ever used. temps stay nice and cool and the gaming app from msi is simple but useful. i plan on getting a second one of these to crossfire.
