4 out of 5 eggsSolid card for one that could be just getting into pc gaming

Pros: Great card for getting into pc gaming. Can run Tomb Raider (Beautiful game!) on Ultimate settings at 38 fps avg, which isnt bad at all for such a graphically demanding game with a 1gb, 128 bit gpu running it. Runs Payday 2 with zero issues during extended game play and Skyrim runs at the highest settings with zero issues at all. Card stays cool even under further overclocking than what it comes with from the factory. Radiator and heat pipes do a good job of keeping those temps down. highest I have seen this card go is 51 Celsius and it hasn't touched that temp again since.

Cons: While I give this card a good bit of praise, it IS only capable of doing so much. While it may be a good card that will work for someone just getting into pc gaming, after a while, you are going to want to have a better gpu with a higher gb and bit count.

Other Thoughts: As I stated in the Pros section, this is a great little card for someone just getting into pc gaming, but as I stated in the Cons section, it is only capable of so much.

2 out of 5 eggscard is ok but...

Pros: this can run most latest games med - high at good frame rates, say 35-40. titanfall was at 35 ave., cod advanced warfare at 30 fps using automatic settings

Cons: crossfire was useless. used crossfire on titanfall and advanced warfare, everything starts to lag and stutter. single card was way better

my set up;

MSI A88XM Gaming
Gskill Ripjaw 8Gb, PNY 4gb
Raidmax 650W
MSI R7 260 Crossfire (diabled due to framerate issue)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card for the $$$!!!

Pros: Dropped this card, an SSD, and a used Core 2 Q9550 into a rig I originally built in 2008, and it's running some of the latest games arround 1600x900, medium/high settings, and @ 60fps. Some games I've tested so far are:

Resident Evil 6 @ 1080p maxed out
Resident Evil 4HD Edition @ 1080p maxed out
Fallout New Vegas, 1600x900 max settings
Bioshock 2 @ 1080p & max settings
Bioshock Infinite @ 1600x900 & medium settings
Metro 2033 @ 1600x900 & medium settings
Mass Efffect 3 @ 1080 & max settings
Dolphin Emulator, most games @ 1080p w/o AA

Cons: Absolutely nothing so far

Other Thoughts: Helped breathe new life into a rig I nearly threw to the scrap heap. It only has 2GB of DDR2 memory and PCI Express 1.0, but from what I've read 1x-3x only have around a 15% difference depending on the card, so it's not such a big deal.
Hopefully this will help anyone who might be considering upgrading an older computer.

Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83ghz
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L Mobo (1333mhz FSB)
OCZ Vertex 2 90GB SATA2 SSD
320GB USB 5400RPM Storage Drive
MSI R7 260
500W Ultra Modular PSU
Rosewill Micro ATX Case
Xbox 360 Wired Controller

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible card for the price I paid

Pros: Super quiet fan, over engineered heat sync makes for super low temperatures, great overclocker (I've gotten 12% without even changing voltage) and it comes overclocked 50ghz right outa the box.

Perfectly acceptable for 1080p gaming , most modern titles stable 30fps with 1080p v sync on ultra settings, flag ship titles (far cry 3, crysis 3, shadow of mordor, ext) you have to turn down the settings a bit but not very much. (far cry 3 for example runs at 30fps on 1080p lowest settings or 720p at high settings or 800/600 on ultra settings, all fine and playable, that game is a beast)

sexy card, classic black with some super sexy copper pipes out the top, just a pleasure to look at

Extra pro = due to combined sales/offers/mail in rebate it was $80 cdn free delivery, that's the best performance per dollar EVER!

Cons: Minimal. The one beef I have with it would be the 1GB ram instead of 2. It's fine especially because it's very fast gddr5, but more buffer would be nice. Not enough to loose a egg for tho.

Other Thoughts: Very good card when it's 100$ or less, practically a steal for the level of performance you get. At the standard 129$ you probably would get ever so slightly better performance out of a stock r7-260X or a GT 750, but not get a cooler this well made.

1 out of 5 eggsFrequent Crashes

Pros: When it works, it works well

Cons: I bought the R7 260, and a few weeks later, the R7 260x for a different computer. Both crash on a fairly frequent basis. Usually when the computer is asleep for awhile, it try to log back in and find a black screen, which requires a reboot. I was just working on a project, and the screen went black, forcing a reboot.

I've tried a variety of drivers, including the newest AMD 14.4. The best driver so far is the default driver in Win 8.

If you do a Google search on these cards, you will discover this is a common problem.

FWIW, neither card is overclocked, nor are they used for gaming. Neither card is running hot. Both computers have an i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, with one running Win7 Pro, and the other Win 8.1 Update.

Other Thoughts: I would NOT recommend buying either the R7 260 or the Ry 260x.

Unfortunately, I'm outside the 30 day return period, so stuck with these problematic cards.

5 out of 5 eggsReasonable fast

Pros: * Run games smooth at 1080p
* Low temperature, around 50 C full load
* Much more quiet than my previous GTS 250
* Low power consumpsion, ~ 100w

Cons: * 1gb memory instead of 2gb

Other Thoughts: I picked this over 260X or higher mainly because of the low power consumption and afraid my power supply can't handle higher end video card. Then I will have to replace the power supply ... maybe next computer!

This card performed reasonable well, frame rate is smooth for 1080p.

If you have higher resolution monitor, you might need to do some research on whether or not this card can play smooth at resolution higher than 1080p.

5 out of 5 eggsone of the best out there

Pros: price, good GPU fan

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: I got this video card to have it on a computer working 24/7 running "video simulators" NOT high end videos,
temps never go more than 48-50C with the fan at 100% on
hope that helps for the next guy buy it .....

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card keeps cool functions well.

Cons: only issue I had with this is it is a really big and bulky card so running it in a smaller tower would not work unless I left it open and risked thisngs dropping in it.
