1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Support

Pros: Decent for the money

Cons: Horrible after purchase support

Other Thoughts: I can not daisy chain with display port for some reason...even though it should have this capability. I called support, and the operator tried to push me away and give excuses, and if I weren't in the I.T. I would have believed that this card does not have the "feature" when any display port 1.2 should be able to do daisy chaining. He said he put in a ticket for a higher rep to contact me and handle this case. That was 2 weeks ago and I still do not have a response. I've had a favorable look on MSI in the past, but I will NOT be recommending them to clients with a support team that drops the ball like this.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, efficient mid-tier card

Pros: Affordable
Low power (draws ~50 to 60w)
Good performance

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had an old video card in my PC and it was really unable to keep up with current games (DiRT3 and Bioshock Infinite) so I replaced it with this R7 260X.

This 260X is really fast considering how cheap it was. (130-ish) Plays most new games on "high" settings at 45 to 60fps on average.

Draws a couple watts at idle. Draws only 50 to 60w at full. My total system power when gaming is 150w. Pretty good if you ask me.

MSI Afterburner software is a great add-on for full video system control.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks like it should

Pros: -Low cost
-Handles everything I've thrown at it at highest levels, though most games are 2012 games. The most graphically intensive game I've played on was Crysis 2, and everything was at Ultra level at 1280x1024.
-Video Capture is nice and easy to use.
-Card is nice and short at 8" long.

Cons: -The top mounted power connector interferes with side mounted fan, so I had to bend the wires down some to clear the fan. Could be just my case, but may interfere with other's side mounted fans on narrow cases. Mine is the Sentey Optimus Extreme Division tower case.

Other Thoughts: I only used the stable drivers from the AMD website (ver 13.251) and didn't bother with the one's on the disk.
I haven't tried to overclock this yet as I am still getting the system up to speed with programs and data migration, as this was a complete rebuild system.

1 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Good price

Cons: It had issues...

Other Thoughts: Got the card and finally sat down to install it in an existing box that was using a Power Color Myst 7870 that had overheating issues and was going to be RMA'd.

Put the 260X in and when the system went to reboot it black screened and told me it needed to do a system restore. I tried for over 2 hours to restore but each effort failed. I ended up putting a 7790 in and reinstaling the entire system.

I put the card back in the box. I pulled it out for a new build. System started and saw the card as VGA. I tried to load the Catalyst driver 5x and each time, after the required reboot, I need to do a restore.

I had another AMD card which I put into the new build and it loaded with no issues and the Catalyst worked fine.

So, 2 different PC's both requiring restore led me to the conclusion there was an issue with this card. I'm sending it back under an RMA...at my cost and their system says it could take 5 weeks or more to get a refurbished replacement.

Perhaps this is a card specific issue or MSI is not a good choice. You decide.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat But more needed

Pros: 1. Card runs great with 20x monitor
2. Nice cooling and it keeeps cool
3. Cheap
4. Can run every game in max setting without problem if you have a I7 to back it up and i5 will give medium performance for game like Cod ghosts
5. 2 GB of vid memory

Cons: 1. the size is pretty small
2. feels like the fan will fallout of the graphics card
3. the fan one goes up to 1060 rpm Due to the reading of SpeedFan and Hw monitor

Other Thoughts: Cheap for the performance. Need a good proccer to back it up and get all the performance out of it. I did tests and found that it is better to have this as you second GPU to back up the first one!! Thanks for reading

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice overall in this price range

Pros: Plays games at 1080p quite well. Nice heatsink and fan that keeps the card cool and quiet. Seems to be fairly low energy usage. Drivers loaded just fine.

Cons: None so far. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks. As long as it lasts a long time I will be perfectly happy.

Other Thoughts: At barely over $100, this is a very good value. It is probably the best card available at this time at this cost. If you are playing at 1080p (or lower), this will serve you very well. I haven't tried any of the advanced audio features, so I can't comment on them.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware rebate

Pros: Decent price for card after rebate

Cons: Not especially fast but ok for basic systems.

Other Thoughts: I submitted my rebate packet as required including a copy of the Newegg invoice. Since the invoice prints out 2 pages and I have a duplex printer I printed 2 sided. MSI gets the paperwork and only looks at one side and email's me denying the claim. If their worker had taken the time to look at both sides of the paper they would have seen it. Now I need to resubmit because of their laziness.
