5 out of 5 eggsDecent Card

Pros: The great stuff:
1- Card was "donated" for an unbiased review (NOT by Newegg)
2- A well designed GPU heatsink (take notes EVGA)
3- Large-quiet cooling fan set default @ 30% speed (again EVGA take notes)
4- Included was a MSI Quick User's Guide (list of tools needed for installation, hardware & software install guide for Windows)
5- NO mini HDMI
6- Power supply PCI-E 6pin connector not required
7- Low maximum power draw of 64 watts
8- 2 GB DDR5 memory
9- Core clocked @ 1006 MHz
10- Memory clocked @ 5000 MHz
11- 4K hdtv ready
12- Ubuntu 14.04 x64 (Linux) compatible
13- 384 cuda cores
14- I tested MSI customer service with a bogus issue and got accurate- superb tech support (Gigabyte & EVGA take lots of noted on this topic)
15- Idles @ 29 C and does not run hot under load (44C tops)

Cons: The not so good stuff:
1- 128 bit memory interface; instead of 256 bit
2- Like to see a MSI factory overclocked version
3- Would be better with 512 cuda cores; instead of 384
4- Like to see TPD @ 55 watts; instead of 64 watts

Other Thoughts: A decent performer for a gamer on a budget. Some have posted elsewhere this card is a dog. I'd advise at least an Intel i3 CPU for this card. MSI recommends a minimum *400 watt power supply with @ least +12v rail of 20A along with a bare minimum 2 GB RAM (4 GB or more is recommend by MSI.) I ran this card via HDMI cable to a 1080p tv using Ubuntu 14.04 x64 LTS operating system and it performed well on WOW and in Secondlife. Streaming HD movies went well too. I felt the CPU I was using (Intel G1620 Celeron dual core) was bottlenecking this card; hence why I say an Intel i3 would work better in FPS department. Overall a solid well thought out design and MSI tech support was superb on my bogus issue....(Again Gigabyte & EVGA take lots of notes.) IF I were purchasing a new graphics card based upon my own personal experiences MSI & XFX get my business!!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: Great price! solid card. everything looks and runs great with most all the candy turned up. averaging about 38 fps in World of Tanks with everything on medium/high.

Cons: The cooling fan was DOA. the card worked great. plugged it in everything went as expected except ... this horrid grinding sound that made me think at first some wind up alarm clock was going off in my computer case. upon a quick inspection to ensure that the sound wasn't coming from a missed wire hitting a cooling fan somewhere, turned out the bearings in the fan was shot.have to RMA

Other Thoughts: almost wonder if the fan needs all the extra plastic casing around it.

5 out of 5 eggsGraphics are great!

Pros: Product was well packaged and documented. The availability of VGA/DVI/HDMI was a huge plus for me! The card is not loud and maintains a low temperature under load. Would highly recommend.

Cons: I was disappointed that there was no "powered by NVIDIA" sticker in the packaging. Any way I could have one sent to me? :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price, also is gets 7.3 Windows Experience rating. Doesn't take an additional power connector from the Power Supply. Not a really big card, also has DVI, VGA and HDMI connectors so no need for adapters. I like that the card is DDR5 instead of DDR3 and also like the 2 gigs of ram on the card. 128 bit bus speed is decent for the price. Plays Call of Duty Ghosts and my other games just fine. More powerfull video cards are over priced, don't buy into their marketing techniques.

Cons: None yet, I have only had the card for a couple of weeks but so far so good. Wish it has 256 bit bus speed for the same price, :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: For the price, it is a great card. Plays all the games I play on full settings.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bought this to bring life to a older PC and out of curiosity, I installed Skyrim on it (Old Pentium D with 3 GB memory) and and it plays it on full settings.

4 out of 5 eggsnice for mild gaming

Pros: i used this card on 2 builds. 2 GB GDDR5 can go wrong with price. runs World of Warcraft on ultra no problem.

Cons: no so far

Other Thoughts: i like AMD video cards but in a jam Nvidia is more cost effective.
