5 out of 5 eggsExcellent video card!

Pros: The card installed without difficulty. I only loaded the driver, not the full utility program, and it works perfectly under Windows XP Home SP3. I only run 2D applications, and my screen images is wonderful. Its got a big fan on the board, but it is very quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My system: Antec Case P182; ASUS P5E; CPU INTEL Q9450 2.66G; Zalman 9700NT cooler; Mushkin 996580 DII800 - 2x2GB; VISIONTEK 900206 HD3850 512M; SAPPHIRE 100114 LB 9250 256M; Hard drive (3) Western Digital 640GB WD6400AAKS; Power Supply - PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W RT; DVD Samsung |SH-S223F 22X. The system was easy to assemble and booted up with no problems. It is lightning fast and stable with XP Home SP3. I would highly recommend all components.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Card...when it's not locking up my computer.

Pros: This card performs well on the highest settings in all the games I play - Crysis, WoW, BF2, etc.

Cons: It locks up my computer almost everyday. The driver fails and Windows attempts to recover it without any luck. I have updated my drivers several times with no change.

Other Thoughts: I am thinking I will replace this card with an Nvidia card. I have used both brands and Nvidia seems to do the job better.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in crossfire

Pros: Great card, although for the price you should get a 3870. Basically this card is just an underclocked one. Gives me great frames in crysis 1280x720 All VERY HIGH 2 aa, will give me 27 fps.

Cons: The heat sink isn't seated properly causing the card to get hotter than needed.

Other Thoughts: When I bought these they were a great deal, but pass on these because a 3870 is cheaper (even the overclocked ones)

5 out of 5 eggsVisionTek HD3850 512

Pros: After RMA visiontek replaced the first two cards. The new ones are these cards and they work perfect. Using the CCC 8.4 driver suite, nothing could be easier than enabling CFX and everything works great. The cores do not overheat, the fans are much quiter than the case fans I have.

Cons: I have a mid tower case and believe me when I tell you a pair of these makes a full case. I had to remove my sound card due to the room available. I think if I had a full tower case, all would have been easier.

Other Thoughts: The only benchmark I have ran to date is the 3Dmark03 and the score is 43,780. I do not overclock my system. Nothing everything is running at default speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsReally great video cards

Pros: Great cards, do not overheat. No problems with the later drivers from ATI, CCC worksk like it should. I would recommend these cards if anyone wants CrossFire that works like it is supposed to.

Cons: The first two cards I was delivered with were both defective. The Vender I purchased these cards refused to take them as RMA due to the fact they had been opened and he could not sell them as new. I asked him why he was thinking of reselling defective products and not RMA'ng through the mfg. After I discussed this with him, this guy told me that he was not gonna do anything for me. It was my responsibility and would have to take care of this myself. I have been a member of the VisionTek forum and have owned thier cards before these. I called tech support and asked what I need to do for them to take care of the replacement. He stated I would have to send the reciept where I purchased the cards. What problems the cards have, send a $10 check to cover the retutn back to me.

Other Thoughts: VisionTek received these two cards on Thursday, May 1st and they shipped out a pair of matched tested cards on May 2nd and I received these yesterday. Not a hiccup with the install, not a hiccup with reinstall the drivers, and setup was a breeze. I played Crysis for over an hour after completing install and setup. This was a breeze and I am so thankful for VisionTek with thier turnarround, and the cards they shipped to me are simply amazing.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast (OCs to 710mhz core, 1880mhz memory easily). Handles Supreme commander with dual monitor enabled without ever hitting 100% GPU usage. COD4 looks stellar on max settings for my system (1280x960, everything on high). Even overclocked, not any errors that matter, just a couple millimeters of rainbowing across the bottom of the screen; easily ignorable.

Cons: Does get pretty hot under load, but that's easily overcome if you put some macros in place (as the temp goes up, as does the fan speed %). Just remember to blow out the dust from time to time, as this thing is a dust trap. Also, this thing is GIANT. I recommend a full tower with this thing, since I could barely fit it into my mid ATX case

Other Thoughts: ASUS M2R32-MVP, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ BE (OCd to 3.36Ghz), 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 memory, VisionTek 3850 512mb OC edition, 750W Antec PSU

5 out of 5 eggslooks good at 1680 x 1050

Pros: works fine with vista. runs at max settings with et-qw and high settings on crysis. looks good with autocadd. fan is variable speed and very quiet. fan design blows warm air out of the case (best way).

Cons: use latest drivers from ati/amd rather than install cd. not really a con (typical).

Other Thoughts: newegg was great to upgrade shipping to overnight when a weather related delay occured.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good card for price!

Pros: The card is amazingly fast for what it is, but could have been faster, playes my games like a dream. if your on a tight buget and need high performance, I suggest this card.

Cons: The overclocking feature has some bugs, trying to work it out. 700mhz core and 875 mhz mem clock. Also seems to have a problem with Flagship Studio games.

Other Thoughts: For what it can do compared to the x1300 xge, amazing. Im going for faster though, only HIS offers blazing fast cards than any Nvidia or ATI cards. Its fast!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for the Buck

Pros: You can't go wrong with this card, PERIOD! Running all games at max settings (except Crysis) and waiting for prices to come down to go with Crossfirex

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: big card make sure your case/motherboard will accept it.
