4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: Silent
Power Efficient
Low profile good for small cases.
Great for movies
Good for light gaming.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I had this card for about a year and replaced it with a new one (not because it broke, because I needed an upgrade) and it worked well and never failed me once.

4 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: -Can't beat it for the price
-Keeps surprisingly cool

Cons: -It's a basic video card not meant to be a beast, don't buy it because you say ooohhh! 1gb for only 65$
-No fan which worried me for a bit but it seems to keep cool itself
-actually lowered my wei but does that really matter?

Other Thoughts: I bought it as a temporary replacement for my old graphics card(burned out) until I save up for a new one. Don't expect to max out any newer game settings on this puppy lol but it will allow you to play. If you are into basic HD media editing or watch hd videos its perfect for the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, cheap card

Pros: Passively cooled, great for multiple monitor setups, no 4 pin molex required, and I got this refurbished for $30 from a competitor's site. Including shipping and a DVI adapter it was $40 all told. I can't see any real cons. See below.

Cons: Not really a gaming card, although I have been able to get it to handle EndWar at medium to high settings with some lag. Plays Battlefield Play4Free as long as you shut down other programs but this may be a limitation of my PSU.

Other Thoughts: Running a C2D E7300 2.66 Ghz and 300W PSU on my work computer, this card handles my dual monitor needs for spreadsheets, etc. The fact that my boss won't spring for a better PSU necessitated a card that will run on low power. This card does the trick. Highly recommend for budget conscious consumers.

3 out of 5 eggsOk for budget media center

Pros: No need for a huge PSU.

Cons: Vertical refresh restrictions in Catalyst software.

Other Thoughts: Running this as a media center PC with Win XP SP3. I have it plugged into my 1080P plasma. Overall the experience is pretty good, however, some chop appears in flash videos when running in full screen mode at the high resolutions. The chop is tolerable enough to watch. A big negative is the Catalyst environment forces 30Hz when I know the equipment can run at 85Hz.

5 out of 5 eggsShockingly Capable Budget DX11 Card

Pros: Single-slot, low-power, HDMI (including HDMI audio) support out of the box, low price, surprisingly solid performance

Cons: Sorry; they are still in jail.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card last week as an upgrade from my HD3450 (also PCIe) for better video support on a budget. In addition, this card has turned out to be a surprisingly solid *gaming* performer (as long as you have no objections with 1280x720 at high or better detail, and that is with the SC2 beta, no less). In most cases, as long as you can maintain the same aspect ratio, even on a budget FP display, you lose nothing with a card like the HD5450 at 1280x720 vs. a higher-end card at a taller resolution (except bragging rights and having more money in your pocket). I don't know about some folks here, but I don't mind saving money when I can.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC card

Pros: Great performance for a passively cooled low-profile video card. Great bang for the buck too.

Cons: No real cons that weren't unexpected. Not the most capable gaming card.

Other Thoughts: I have this setup in an HTPC with an older Core 2 Duo (2.2Ghz), 4GB of RAM, running Windows 7 Ult. 64 bit and Boxee, outputting to a 46" 1080p LCD TV.

Runs like a champ. Latest version of Boxee interface uses DirectX, and it's smooth as butter. 1080p .mkv files run without a hitch, and audio sounds good. Haven't tried Blu-Ray due to lack of BR drive, but I'm willing to bet it'll chug right through it.

Best part, is it's cheap, runs completely on bus power, and PASSIVELY cooled.

It really is an ideal HTPC card. highly reccomend.
