3 out of 5 eggsNot Worth $290

Pros: None. unless you count 2GB of DDR3 a pro which in a way it is, but that's about it.

Cons: It's expensive for what you pay for $290 ? wow..., which is 640 Stream Processors, DX10.1, DDR3 memory (atl least it has 2GB though) so not even as much power as a HD4890.

Other Thoughts: If your looking at this to buy go look at the HD6950s or some of the HD6970s your be much happier with either one of them as they easily have 4-5 times the power this does even with this having 2 GPUs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but loud

Pros: (4)DVI out and (2)GPU's on one interface helps smooth out compatibility issues with older/simple motherboards and bios. Each DVI does indeed function on their own, with full control over resolution and screen positioning.

Cons: Loud. Common guys, I know you're a gamer and all, but if you don't have the volume up, you'll hear this card. No question about it. I have (4)servers in my office near my tech bench and this card's fan over powered them. Yup. No kidding.

The problem seems to be from having two GPU's located on a single board and only one fan. No fan control software can monitor the GPU fans unless they are in crossfire mode which didn't work for my application of this card. Visiontek must have done something not traditional with the single fan controller to achieve this setup. Most software expects a 1=1 ratio of GPU to fan controller, and this card is 2=1. MSI afterburner didn't help.

Other Thoughts: This card was going in a workstation for a 24/7 dispatching situation. The (4) monitors were actively going to monitor unique aspects of their business in real time. The noise generated by this card was unacceptable and I ended up attaching the GPU fan to a fan controller and then to the motherboard. No doubt completely hosing my warranty but getting the job done. When this fan doesn't run 100% it can be quiet and silent operation can be possible. Get the right fan controller and you can have MB/Temp control of your GPU fan.

OR Better yet, look for video cards with 'display ports' and get all those little adapters. You'll probably be in a better place when all is said and done if all you want is (4)monitor display and don't care about gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: Card is helpful to those looking for graphic ability and 4 monitors. Even better - it works in 32bit Windows XP (new cards that support 4 monitors seem to require x64 Vista of Windows 7). If you are stuck on XP (for whatever reason.....), and NEED 4 monitors on one [physical] card, you have few options. This seems to be a great fit. Power requirements are also ideal - it doesnt suck power and only requires one six pin power connector (even though it seems to be engineered to be 2 cards in one). All this and it has a total of 2gb memory (looks like 1gb per GPU inside the card; so its probably not going to use all 2gb on one display - but that is just a guess/assumption). All in all a great card for specific requirements.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It blows my mind how people would write a negative review because they didnt need 4 dvi ports (but bought this card)... Its the same as not using the right tool for the job, then being mad at the tool. If you only need 1 monitor - then of course this might seem pricey. If you actually need 4 monitors - then good luck finding anything else that doesnt cost a ton more (and can do DVI and works with all OS's).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: 4 Monitors on actual DVI connections with any adapters! Saves some $$ buying a display port adapter which most other cards need to do 3 monitors.

Cons: Could be a little cheaper.

Other Thoughts: I have 3 samsung 2343 monitors running 1152x2048 in portrait orientation off this card with no problems. My work system is a micro-ATX system didn't leave a lot of room for dual cards and most single cards with 3 outputs usually require a display port which my monitors don't have.
I wouldn''t hesitate to put this card in any business use computer where 2+ monitors are needed.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work in my system

Pros: Drives four monitors from one PCI x16 slot - that's the whole idea.

Cons: Couldn't get it to work on my system. It appears that my main board was incompatible (2007 Intel DG965WH). Tried second card and upgraded power supply, both without success. Visiontek tech support (only available via e-mail) had no additional suggestions.

2 out of 5 eggsThe Point...

Pros: Card enables the user to use up to four DVI outputs simultaneously, giving more monitors to use than most single PCIe slot graphic cards. Enables the use of CrossFire on motherboards with only one PCIe slot, or a hampered X4 slot on the second one.

Cons: Card has no reason to exist. Assuming that you are not going to use the four DVI outputs at once, or will need at most two of them, this card offers far too little performance for too steep a price. The card has 2x320 stream processors, which is not too shabby. But even when having 640 stream processors total, the card still will not provide better performance than a 4770, which has only a single GPU on its board. That means it does not have to communicate through CrossFire and does not get any handicap from that. Over nine months ago the 4770 with 1GB of RAM could be found for ~$100, about one third of the cost of this card. If you have a regular sized case and have $300 to spend, a Radeon HD 5850 can be found currently for around $50 less than this card, and has 1440/640=2.25x the number of stream processors, and 128GB/s / 32GB/s =4x the memory bandwidth. The 5850 also supports DX11, uses less power at idle, and more than makes up for its power usage in 3D with amazing performance.

Other Thoughts: This card is not bad in any way. It just costs way too much and really does not accomplish anything. It also does not bitstream Dolby HD like the AMD Evergreen series does, so it can't be utilized to its full potential as an HTPC card. It doesn't do anything quite well. It's a mediocre novelty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat stuff

Pros: I bought 2 of these for xfire. I'm getting like 6 fps average in Metro 2033! Woot best VCs ever!

Cons: They were a couple dollars cheaper at other places.
