5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card!

Pros: Great price! Fast card! Silent and Cool! Overclockes very easy to 900 MHZ core and 1300 on memory, and the temperature stays around 47-55 degrees! Will overclock to higher frequency if one needs it.

Cons: Non

Other Thoughts: This is by far the best card I have ever owned, and I have been buying video cards since the year 2003. This card will not give you top performance in every game, but it will easily play all modern games at good frame rates. I played Attila total war with all special features turned on and the card did very well, considering that this game is more demanding than most other modern games. Would be buying another for Crossfire.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ran great. I sold it to my brother and upgraded to a 7950 just because. It died from water damage though sadly.

Cons: Not waterproof

Other Thoughts: Luckily his CPU survived

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Got this for my first rig a year and a half ago. Still running. Only games I haven't been able to max out have been Max Payne 3 and BF3. Though not all the other games get to 60 fps. This does not include overclocking.

Cons: None, but (now that I'm looking for a new card to crossfire) as of now it looks like there are plenty of 7850s for half the price of this. When I got this it was the cheapest 7850 available.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card for stock 500 watt power supply

Cons: First card was DOA. It looked damaged (physically bent, metal needed to be reformed by hand for me to test the card) and the package was open. Looks like from other reviews, new egg received a bad batch. Do I dare say a 3rd party vendor selling refurbs? Anyways, 1 week later I received a working card and I was up and running.

Other Thoughts: This is a great video card for anyone looking to upgrade their current clunker. Im not a hard core gamer but when im looking to slack off and play some call of duty this card is tops

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Customer Support

Pros: The price was alright. Still should not have purchased this though.

Cons: Contacted VisionTek support via email/website on January 25th. I have yet to receive a response.

Basic issue is that there is artifacting on stock settings from all outputs. This persisted through a reformat and multiple/new/old drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Great Value

Pros: I got it during the BF deal, which made it an amazing value for me.

Quite a step up from my hd 6850, I could play 95% of my games at maximum settings at 1680x1050 resolution at a constant 60fps after overclocking. of course, there are just a few games that refuse to co-operate at super max settings (gta iv, crysis, metro 2033), but let's blame the coding.

I OC'd it to 1125/1450, stable. You need to get ASUS GPU tweak to get it passed that 1050 mark. Google it, it will help. This card is an overclocking monster. Two of these will have you set for at least 3 years.

Cons: My card wasn't a magical overclocker. There are people managing to get their cards to 1300/1500 clocks, which puts it above the hd 7950. The cooler is low-end, but I got what I paid for.

I purchased some ultra low profile heatsinks for the VRAM and some smaller heatsinks for the voltage regulators. I replaced the TIM with Diamond IC 7. The first application was a dud [i took off the shroud to see temp decreases but saw none, i suggest leaving the shroud on], my temps remained the same. when i placed the shroud back on and reapplied the TIM again for the second time [I used a lot lot less, half a grain of rice], i saw 13C drop in idle(39C before, 26C now), but load is about the same.(70C Furmark).

Other Thoughts: Diamond IC7 left hairline scratches on the surface of the GPU. I suggest you use something else.

My comp:
3570k 4.2ghz w/ hyper 212+ evo
asrock z77 extreme 4
16gb ddr3
hd 7950 1125/1450
crucial m4 primary
spinpoint f3 secondary
corsair 500r black case

I don't list my specs to gloat. I list them because someone out there is looking to see if these parts work well. They do. they fit magnificently in my case, so much room!

All i can suggest with this card is leave the black plastic shroud on, and when you apply TIM, half a grain of rice. ASUS GPU tweak to clock it higher, and enjoy your high tier performance for mid tier price!

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: 2 Gig 7850 for $149 with a lifetime warranty!!
Installed and ran flawlessly. I am an armature, this was my first build but this GPU is impressive and I know I got a great deal. No issues so far.

Cons: Registering the lifetime warranty. Went on Vision Tek website, followed the directions, after I entered the information it said registration was not done yet, I was sent an email and needed to respond. I did not have an email so I entered again and again and again 15 or 20 times. A day or two later I got 15 or 20 emails from them and responded to one. Still not sure if it means I am registered for the lifetime warranty but it's not from lack of trying.

Other Thoughts: I got nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsSchweeeeeet

Pros: 2gig GDDR5, 256-bit, small, cool n' quiet, lots of display out options.

Cons: Plastic cover is kinda lame and flimsy. Didn't dock any eggs for this, just a personal preference. Also, it slightly covers the power port, which is rather annoying for someone with meaty fingers.

Other Thoughts: Like many others, I bought this Black Friday for $150 and some change with a free Far Cry 3. Upgrading from two Asus 450's SLI'd, I saw a huge increase in performance, temps, and everything all around. There is some performance failures on newer games at high specs, but one card can't do everything, not for this price, anyway. Runs ME3 maxed, Fallout: NV maxed, Far Cry 3 pretty much maxed, and Black Ops II with all but max anti-aliasing and sync frame. Turn those on is playable, but get lots of glitching and frame rate drops in fast paced sections.

Asus Crosshair V Formula

VisionsTek 7850
Antec Kuhler 2.0 Liquid Cooling system
WD 500gig SataIII x2 RAID 0/1
G.Skill 240gig SSD
Thermaltake 850 Black Widow PSU
NZXT Phantom to wrap it all up.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it worked

Pros: While working allowed High to Ultra settings on most games.

Amazing Blacks Friday price with Far Cry 3 free!

Cons: After a week or so it would periodically stop displaying to the monitor. A reboot or two would usually solve it. Now it requires as many as 20 reboots to get it to work. Guess I'll have to RMA it.
