2 out of 5 eggsHelp with this card - VisionTek

Pros: Works fine, except as noted below. Fits. No power cord needed. WinEx limited before install to 4.3 (MB's onboard Radeon 4300) due to video, but now it's 7.3 with this card. Easy install, but had to disable the HD AMD audio and return to MB onboard Realtek audio to get anything out of speakers. Using DVI connection to monitor. (Should that be a Con?)

Cons: Lousy tech support. After install, my PC now sleeps and will not wake up unless I do a cold reboot - push the reset button). Tried everything and finally went to no hybernate/no sleep and, after calling VisionTek support, Ryan told me that "sometimes their video board may do that" and I should "just try an live with it." I'm not happy. Less one star for having to keep my monitor and PC on 24/7, and less two more for lousy customer support.

Other Thoughts: After telling the tech support rep that I didn't think that was a good solution for the issue, he told me I could just return the product to NewEgg. He insisted that there was probably nothing wrong with the card and another would be the same. I thought VisionTek was a premier company - they are certainly not the cheapest. The seldom mark down. Usually reviews are very good, notwithstanding higher prices.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: Purchased to play Diablo III. It's quiet, plays Diablo III with max settings. World of Warcraft max settings FPS 60+

It meets or exceeds what I needed from it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I run dual monitors. Both DVI. I was able to purchase a cheap HDMI to DVI connector for the second monitor and it works fantastic.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Works beautifully, I was nervous about getting this at first due to lack of reviews but turned out to be a great deal. No heating issues so far with diablo 3. Plays at max settings 720p 120hz with no problems.

Cons: i dont have enough time to play games on it more often

Other Thoughts: Paired with i3-2100 for diablo 3 budget build. runs at max 720p perfectly. combine with ssd for great gaming experience

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: This is my second VisionTek card. I had a VisionTek 5670 before this. Solid hardware. the 7750 in comparison Runs very cool, and quiet and fast, doesn't eat up power on the electric bill, and doesn't require an accessory connector to pull power from the power supply. Faster than I need. Priced well. No problems.
I am happy with it and it was a worthwhile upgrade. By the time I need to upgrade again it will probably have paid for itself in savings on the power bill. Great idea for cheap guys like me.

Cons: The AMD drivers are still in beta, apparently. I am using 12.6 otherwise you get multiple problems. My luck is that I tend to buy solid hardware completely by accident, that has poor software support until some point in the future. (I would rather have it this way- than the other way around, however.) I can only hope they get it figure out the software eventually, I bet they will. Doesn't overclock well, if you are after that you are buying the wrong hardware to begin with.

Other Thoughts: The showdown driving game that came with it free is terrible, and it's a bear to install. Don't bother with it - not worth it. They could have just taped a CD to the box, but no, you get a voucher with a code. You have to first download the steam thing which crashed the first several days, and then you have to download a HUGE game, which also crashed a lot. Once you finally have it all set up and hopefully working, the game itself is miserable and irritating. I could never figure out how to play it, and it wasn't enjoyable in the attempt whatsoever. Skip it. I deleted it all.

5 out of 5 eggsLike it alot

Pros: Nice , Cool and Quiet. Playing Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and Civ 5 maxed. Tested for more highend gaming with Batman AC demo played at max but could tell to fully enjoy needed to tone down just a few settings or maybe overclock card...just felt like it was just right under that super butter smooth game play.

1080p resolutions used on Win 7 64bit 8gig ram ASUS m3a78 pro Phenom2 965

Though not tested with any FPS games, I know Starcraft 2 and Civ 5 seem to play just as well as they did on Radeon 5850 I once had. So I think any game upto this point would be playable with atleast descent settings. Why the change, I am not as much a gamer as I once was so got a good deal on selling my 5850 and wanted a Cool and Quiet good enough replacement for the few games I wish to continue playing in my spare time... Diablo 3 maxed does about 87% activity on AMD Performance Tab with max of 50 degrees and 35% fan speed... haven't tried any Overdrive/Overclocking.

Cons: had to buy from another vendor , Newegg UPS + USPS shipping is horrid, if I am not saving money.... NEWegg seems to be slipping in Price and Shipping Quality they once had. Even when Fedex does the + USPS stuff shipping seems better than expected...

Other Thoughts: The differences between this and the HIS version seems to be the Sticker on the Fan... though HIS says they have some fancy ICOOLER design, both Vision and HIS seem to be using an Artic Cooling fan and PCB from pictures look the same... Visiontek though I don't know how good their Lifetime Warranty is the card comes with Lifetime warranty.....

5 out of 5 eggsGood low power card for Dell Optiplex 760

Pros: Great upgrade for older Dell Optiplex 760 with Core 2 Quad Q9650 CPU and 6GB DDR2 memory. Didn't even need to upgrade Power supply from stock 305W. Doesn't need 6 pin PCI-E adapter. Stays cool.

Cons: ATI drivers were cumbersome to install, but the latest 12.4 beta drivers worked fine.

Other Thoughts: Transferred most of the contents of my Dell Optiplex 760 (using a Gigabyte P45-UD3R) to an Antec 300 case (with help of Silverstone 850W PSU and 4 case fans) for more airflow for gaming!
