1 out of 5 eggsVisiontek's Failure.

Pros: It looks like a deal.

Cons: Whenever I try to play a game, that by the way should run fairly well given the specs of the card, it plays for about five minutes and then the driver fails and the whole computer glitches out and crashes, needing a hard boot.

Other Thoughts: I went to the website to get support, sadly they are only open on weekdays which is bad because I got my card Saturday and immediately it failed...

2 out of 5 eggsIts OK

Pros: For a card with standard performance, its alright. Better than nothing at all.

Cons: Where do i start...

This card for one thing is as loud as a hair dryer with no settings to change that.

The software was sketchy and cheaply coded.

!!!You cant put your PC into sleep mode!!!
Most critical thing about this card is that it cant wake up from sleep mode, first there will be random pixel tearing and glitching. next the screen will flicker A LOT, then finally BSOD.

i know its not low power because i have a 1000W PSU in this thing because of the HDD's i have and will upgrade to 2 GTX 760's later.

Just wanted to warn everyone who wants to get this card to keep in mind that its going to be loud. Its going to cause problems.

Other Thoughts: If you want something that plays games on low to moderate settings with no high resolution, this is it.

-But that's about it

One more thing. It also looks like this card needs more power, and i do see another solder point for an additional 6 pin power. I dont know whos grand idea it was to skip out on that but clearly is a flaw.

OH and also if you want the drivers just go to AMD because their servers get hacked VERY OFTEN

1 out of 5 eggsLow reliability

Pros: Decent price for performance.

Cons: Questionable reliability. I ordered two cards last month and one of them failed within a week. Random pixels on the screen. Now dealing with warranty return.

Other Thoughts: If you order this card, keep the box and all paperwork for a few weeks so you can return it if it fails.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I actually earned my marks tech knowledge. This card runs great, 15c cooler than my sapphire 6850 I'm running with it in crossfire. It does take up 3 slots on the board but not a big deal for a cooler that pulls off these temps. I'm overclocked currently to 820mhz core 4400mhz memory(effective) on stock voltages and it runs great no issues and a massive improvement in benchmarks and FPS. I have an older phenom II cpu on a new asus pro r2.0 motherboard while i await steamroller so I'm not giving actual bench numbers but even with my old CPU I beat out my buddy with a 7870 tahiti edition and a fx-8320 OCd to 4.0ghz in Heaven 4.0.

Cons: I had problems setting up crossfire but figure out the two cards had different BIOS obviously from different manufactures and this Visiontek had a more recent BIOS and it had to be placed in the upper/primary slot on my board to prevent crazy multicolored flashing screens when crossfire was activated in full screen mode.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend the card. I went against the older reviews when I picked this up. It was a good price and I jumped on it and have no regrets. I don't doubt they had problems in the past but Visiontek seems to have jumped on board and worked everything out as of February at least.

2 out of 5 eggsVisionTek HD 6850

Pros: Works fine i haven't really used it too much but it looks pretty good.

Cons: Really big heat sink. this thing takes up 3 PCI slots on the motherboard if you want to Crossfire make sure the second PCIe slot is 3 slots away. It came with a dirt 3 game coupon which was expired. they sent another one which was also expired so don't expect to receive that.

Other Thoughts: I have heard bad things about VisionTek and would never buy another one. I regret not saving up for a GTX 660

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Probably one of the best cards you get still get for older PCI slots. Made a huge difference once I got it installed.

Cons: It was a royal pain to install. Make sure you delete absolutely every driver associated with a graphics card before you try to boot up from it. Also, I knew it likely wasn't going to be quiet, so I'm more than fine with that; just don't expect it to run siliently.

Other Thoughts: If you have an older MoBo and still want to be up to snuff for new games, this is your guy. Despite being a pain to install, it's a great choice for gaming if you're not too strained on a budget.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Stays pretty cool in the high 40's degree Celsius temperature. I bought this to upgrade and I'm happy with it. Worked out of the box, would recommend to buy two of these cards for crossfire.

Cons: Can run Firefall beta with some settings on High but mostly low. Maybe overclocking will help, but I do not know how to.

Other Thoughts: I would love to have two of these cards in crossfire but no money left.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this card!

Pros: it looks cool

Cons: didnt work...well if a bsod counts as an image then i guess it worked.

Other Thoughts: Bought this card for my buddy to crossfire his other 6850 that was a visionTek as well but it was a reference model. ok for starters how in the world did they expect you to unplug the 6pin power connector??? its almost impossible. second it wouldn't even start windows it would go straight to blue screen with a ton of artifacting. so really please dont buy this card its for your own good...
