5 out of 5 eggsBe careful!

Pros: It's a totally smokin card! I'm actually getting higher scores on 3DMark06 than people with 7950 512MB cards, I'm talking 500-1,000 points higher in some cases. These things really are "Signature Series"...

Cons: It's VERY unstable, and it seems that MOST of these cards have problems... it's the same with any other 7900 from EVGA (and possibly other companies) right now. You should check out their forums and read through all the problems people are having with 7900 cards before you decide to buy one.

Other Thoughts: I just got my RMA card today, it took forever. I should have returned it to NewEgg and got a refund. It just wasn't worth the hassle. ALSO, some people over at the EVGA forums are on the fourth and fifth RMA cards. That's totally unacceptable.

I will say though, that EVGA, has WONDERFUL customer support and they are always willing to help more than they probably should. I say this because some people I've read about are downright hateful to them on their forums. I'd give their customer service a 11/10. ;)

1 out of 5 eggsWait for the new memory

Pros: The first day I was really impressed.

Cons: The card started to slowly self-destruct from the first day on. I tried a lot of things to get it to work for the next three weeks. In the end, the card was dying.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has been great. They refunded all my money even though I was beyond their 30 day grace period. I am now a loyal customer.

1 out of 5 eggsstay away

Pros: runs fast when it works

Cons: had to RMA it like everybody else. Got replacement cards that run at 100 degrees celcius. Had to buy two vf-900's for them. Shouldn't have to buy aftermarket cooling to make it work.

Other Thoughts: Customer support is excellent.

1 out of 5 eggsWhen they work. . .

Pros: Great cards and fast!!!!

Cons: I had to rma two 7900 gt ss cards. eVGA customer service needs some work, slow and don't know a thing about what is going on. I will never deal with evga again.

Pros: Gets clock speeds of near 7900gtx for only $350...

Cons: Runs rather toasty, defective. Barely outperformed my old x800xl...RMAed...

Other Thoughts: Probably great card if you get one that works the way it's supposed to...

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Very nice graphics when playing World of Wacraft, Everquest and Everquest2.

Cons: Had some overheating issues with the card, so I installed an exhaust fan just underneath the card and havent had an Issue since.

Other Thoughts: Very nice warranty and technical support features.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: FAST! Easily oc'd to 695/870 (1840. Should do better with water cooling. Extras are great! Customer service is excellent.

Cons: No games available yet for your "one title from 2006" except Hitman. A lot of people are getting bad cards. You might want to wait and check the gVGA forums as to when the "fixed" cards will ship. (Mine works fine)

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the Extra Dough

Pros: I went from a Geforce 6800XT, 128mb, and 8 pixel pipes to the 7900GT. Obviously, the improvements were amazing. With a good processor/memory, every game plays at high/max settings, ie. Fear, Oblivion, HL2, CS Source, Far Cry and the Prey demo.

Cons: Won't play Oblivion at Ultra high settings......Is that a Con?
Could have more games to choose from, as you do get a free game w/ this purchase.

Other Thoughts: Don't have this card in SLI. Want to hold out for the G80 Nvidia line and DirectX 10 compatibility. Then will go SLI. Yeah baby!
