4 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Nice card for the money. Every game I've played runs great. Nice picture on my flatscreen.

Cons: Svid input is terrible, falls out easily.

Other Thoughts: I was going to get a second card to run SLI, but haven't needed it yet.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent budget card

Pros: 12pixel pixel pipe.
EVGA makes quality video cards.
Physically resembles a quality electronics assembly.
Hooked this up to my ECS "El cheapo" mobo and runs without an issue. The visual quality is better on my eyes than my Radeon 9800 pro. ATI cards are not as vivid with color as Nvidia cards. This is a good card. Runs FEAR on 75% maxed out settings. Not as fast as I expected, but the image quality is great. The ATI cards are fast but are somewhat blurry.--Just a little. For direct 8 generation games--this card kills!--high frame rates. This card eats games like Call of Duty maxed out. I had no problems with ATI but I think the Nvidia cards are more colorfully appealing in my eyes.

ECS939 basic Nforce 4 board (non SLI)--1PCIe slot
1.5 gig of DDR 400 generic
3700 San Diego 1MB L2 cache AMD
500 watt Rosewill 16Amp 12+Rail Power suppy.-- SLI ready.

Cons: Should be about $15 bucks cheaper since it's 128bit memory interface.
The EVGA site and box recommends a 18Amp 12+ Rail Powersupply. Im using a 16 Amp with no issues and running two 7200rpm EIDE ATA Seagate drives.

Other Thoughts: Not a significant performance jump from my 9800pro, however it's PCIe and AGP is going away. The image quality really stands out, even in desktop 2D pics look more vivid than my ATI 9800pro and 9600pro.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good for the $$

Pros: Good price point that can do pretty much whatever i need it to

Cons: Card started showing corruption in windows pretty much the same day i installed it (showed pink/green flag like pixelation throughout the picture). I tried everything to fix it; re-install the os, different pc, different drivers, etc.. I returned the card to newegg (awesome turnaround!) and got a new one which works perfectly! The other thing i dont like about this card is that the component/s-video out cable doesnt plug into the card very firmly and can fall out with a slight breeze.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for my media center (so i dont even use this card with a monitor) and it performs very well rendering every type of video i throw at it with no stuttering or quality issues.

5 out of 5 eggsNvidia 7600gs

Pros: I have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with any game or video program since I have aquired this baby.

Cons: seems like the svid connector is somewhat flimsy and falls out easily if the cord gets bumped.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice card

Pros: Looks and runs great, picture is nice and clear

Cons: RGB analog port seems to have trouble rendering the color red, but using DVI to RGB converter fixes the problem =\

Other Thoughts: Building this system for a friend and hopefully the extra conversion step wont muck up the speed of the display

4 out of 5 eggsVery good for the price

Pros: Very good video performance in Windows XP and Vista. I am not really a hard-core gamer, but GTA San Andreas and Flight Simulator 2004 look great. Vista looks great and the card scores a 5.6 on the Vista test. This card does not use the PCI-X power connector, or any additional power connector, which may be good for those with older power supplies.

Cons: Make sure the wire that connects the fan to the card is tight and does not get pinched anywhere. It is a bit too long and tries to get caught in adjacent PCI slots. In dual monitor mode in Windows XP, the 2nd display flickers a lot during bootup. After the system is stable, 10 seconds or so, the flicker stops. This is a problem with the NVidia hardware/drivers and is common. It is not specific to this card, and it not a major problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card for the $$$

Pros: Excellent grafics for my games. Plays BF2on High settings and FEAR on Med-High settings.

Cons: None at the time. But the only thing is that when I plugg into tv (non HDTV) has this little moving lines on the background.

Other Thoughts: If U are looking for a 7600gs this one is cheap and good quality.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay but I'd get the GT

Pros: Small quiet fan, good performance for the price – but see cons.

Cons: Not as great as everyone says. Its okay, but you can do better – see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for an upgrade for a friend. She was on a budget and we had to keep the price down. I really, really tried to talk her into the GT but she would not listen. YOU SHOULD LISTEN – GET THE GT. Its not that much more money, but look at the difference in the clock and memory speeds. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out which one is the better deal. If you can get a card that’s 75% faster for only 22% more money, that’s a good deal. Usually with video cards you have to spend 80% more to get a 10% increase in performance.
I’m going to build a computer for my wife in a few months and I will not be getting this card, I’ll be getting the GT.
