Make your friends envious with EVGA’s e-GeForce 8800GTS KO w/ACS3. Yes, that’s a lot to say . . . so just leave the box out where they can see it. Of course, leave two out so they know you’re running them in SLI configuration . . . just to rub it in.

The 8800GTS GPU from NVIDIA has been kicked up from 500MHz to 588MHz and the shader clock has gone from 1,200MHz to 1840MHz for maximum gaming performance. This combined with the 320MB of GDDR3 memory will let you run two large displays at up to 2560x1600 resolution from the two dual-link DVI ports. Of course the card is built for Vista. It will easily handle any version you want to throw at it. And with Vista you get DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 support which enables you to play the most advanced games on the market.

The built in TV encoder supports HDTV, S-Video and Component video out. It should go without saying that HDCP is enabled so you can view programming in full HD mode. NVIDIA’s PureVideo brings the technology from high-end video equipment to your computer. Dedicated processing cores and software delivers a vivid, lifelike picture free of the annoying artifacts and imperfections you get from standard PC-based video solutions.

  • newegg NVIDIA Unified Architecture with GigaThread Technology The fully-unified shader core dynamically allocates processing power to geometry, vertex, physics and pixel shading operations, delivering incredibly true-to-life 3D graphics. In addition, the massively multi-threaded architecture supports thousands of independent, simultaneous threads, providing extreme processing efficiency in advanced, next generation shader programs.
  • newegg Full Microsoft DirectX 10 Support The DirectX 10 GPU with full Shader Model 4.0 support delivers unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects.
  • newegg NVIDIA Lumenex Engine The NVIDIA Lumenex Engine supports 128-bit and 64-bit floating point HDR with up to 16x anti-aliasing, delivering vividly realistic lighting effects while obliterating “jaggies”.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Technology Delivers up to 2x the performance of a single GPU configuration for unmatchable gaming experiences. The must-have feature for PCI Express graphics, NVIDIA SLI technology allows two graphics cards to run in parallel and dramatically scales performance on today's hottest games.
  • newegg NVIDIA PureVideo HD Technology The combination of high-definition video decoding acceleration and post-processing delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color and precise image scaling for all video content, especially movies.
  • newegg Built for Microsoft Windows Vista Built for Windows Vista, NVIDIA's fourth-generation GPU architecture offers users the best possible experience using the Windows Aero 3D graphical user interface available in Microsoft latest operating system.

4 out of 5 eggsSuperb

Pros: Rocking card! It has aged gracefully. Now after 6 years of use and it hasn't died on me yet, which is amazing considering stable operating temperature is 80C. It's beginning to show its age, which is why I'll be replacing it. But it has served me freaking well.

Cons: As said it ran really hot and if the system wasn't well ventilated it would freeze up. But then, it's an overclocked high end GPU. So.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty sweet

Pros: Even though it comes with a decent OC, I was able to squeak some more out of it. I upgraded from a fairly old card (FX5900), so of course this card blew me away. Runs smooth and no issues to speak of. Nice package. Exactly what I was looking for at the price.

Cons: It'll add some heat to your case and takes up 2 PCI slots worth of plug-in space. Of course anyone buying this card already knows that.

Other Thoughts: Planning to add a second one in the future, which should solidly outperform the GTX for not much more money.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome graphics card

Pros: 1. It made my computer faster, the graphics looked a lot better even on the bios post screen. Anyway if you got the money I would go for the 8800 ultra.

Cons: Price!!! I am always very tired and I wasn't thinking the one day when I was surfing the net so I bought this but I don't regret it. I just don't got the money for a good graphics card like this one so now I have to sell every electronic I own just to get my money back including this computer with the 8800gts. I am so mad.

Other Thoughts: guess I should sleep more but I got too much on my mind. Girlfriend, School, 3 jobs.

I have the following: amd athlon 64 X2 4200+, Asus M2N4 Sli, 2gb ddr2, 300gb hard drive, 500 watt Dynex power supply, Antec 900 pc case, evga geforce 8800gts.

I went to a forum and the people their said that I needed to upgrade my power supply and my cpu or the computer would lag a lot but I have been experiencing No lagg so I think they just wanted me to waste more money into this computer.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Video Card

Pros: This card is great for gaming. I purchased one recently for gaming purposes and I am not dissapointed at all. Used 3DMark06 to check how much I got compared to my 8500 GT card and the improvement is big. The fan is silent, which makes this a great purchase.

Cons: It's huge!!!, make sure your motherboard is not a Micro-ATX or you will have a heck of a time installing it. I had problems installing mine due to the size of it, but managed to get a SATA Card and move some cables around and now the card is inside my HP Pavillion m8100n.

Other Thoughts: The card is almost a foot long. So make sure it fits on your case and that it won't cover or crush any cables.

Cons: I didnt get Dark Messiah but that has no affect on the card and I really didnt care

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: ran everything I own on max! and i only have a pentium D 3.2 2gb DDR 430watt psu and a standared intel motherboard. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!

Cons: uber hott~ and i mean uber, burns just to touch it, i'm going to have to put more cooling on it =\.
and just like all the other reviews, ******* huge! i hade to move my har drive, and with my standared intel motherboard, had to rearange the back casing to even fit around the RAM.

Other Thoughts: it's a sexy sexy beast, a deff buy, no need for a 640MB lol.

5 out of 5 eggs9" Long!!

Pros: Extremely satisfied!! Don't hesitate any longer. Spend the money for the ACS version. Run all games on max settings. World in Conflict is smooth as silk and just as beautiful.

Cons: None really. Size maybe but necessity will find a way to overcome it. Not possible to SLI on a mATX. Covers PCI-e and 2 sata slots.

Other Thoughts: I opened this thing and could not get over its size. I've never seen a card so immense. After about 5 minutes of expletives I began the task of figuring out how I was going to fit this in my mATX tt:LanBox. I too ran into the problem where the GPU covers the northbridge chipset and sata ports. After some adjusting I was able to retain all 3 HDDs ...even though they are jammed in to the ports. -lol-

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card!!

Pros: Awesome card for the money, card is already safely overclocked to 588MHz and it does its job, this card is perfect for any upgrade from the 7 series to the 8 series if you have a small budget, still on the pricey side, but its well worth it. It is comparable to the 640MB version of this card, so if your going the cheaper way, this card is for you. Runs all my games perfectly, Unreal Tournament 3 Demo runs great, at 60FPS (max for the demo) the demo looks great and runs smoothly, no lag at all at any point, cant imagine what the full game will look like under DX 10! DDR3 Memory, runs at a max of almost 1800 MHz.

Cons: Not sure what is bigger, my PSU or this card... lets just say its huge, so make sure you have the clearance from your HDD bays and your northbidge. Also runs a little warm, expected tho for any type of chip that is overclocked, under load i got temps of around 70 degrees.

Other Thoughts: Awesome card, evega is one of the best out there.

4 out of 5 eggsArtifacts

Pros: Easy to install. Fast card. Runs all my games great.

Cons: GETS VERY HOT!!!
This card takes up 2 PCI slots, so make sure you have enough space.

Other Thoughts: I feel you dont need more than one of these.
