Here's a video card for the value-driven gamer, engineer or artist with high standards. Using a GeForce 7600GT processor clocked at 560 Mhz with 12 pixel pipelines, 256 MB GDDR3 memory (with memory bandwidth of 22.4 GB/sec), you're not talking "slow display" here!

It has a DVI connector and a VGA connector (with an adapter so the DVI connection can be used on VGA-style monitors), and an integrated TV encoder putting out HDTV, S-Video or Composite Video. SLI-ready (so make certain your power supply can handle it!), it features HDR (High Dynamic Range) for ever more realistic lighting and display effects. PCI Express support to keep up with that fast GPU, it's Vista ready and can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The next generation of games and hi-res HDR applications is here already, so update to a card that knows how to talk to them.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent video card

Pros: Used this card to play Counter Strike 1.6 at 640x480 and it worked perfectly for that.

Cons: Died shortly after warranty period expired expired which was unfortunate but my next card was another evga with lifetime warranty(9800gtx+) and that card is still going strong so it must have been bad luck with this 7600gt.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked great for years!

Pros: I bought this video card in 2006. It was the first time I ever opened up a computer and made a change. Back then i was a gamer and it worked great. Over the years I've built a couple computers and this video card made the transfer. But as of today, 8/24/2013, It has been replaced. This card gave me 7 years of faithful service. FAREWELL!

Cons: nope

1 out of 5 eggsFan burned out in a year and a half

Pros: Generally good reputation
Said to be a good value in it's day
Good for gaming when it was new?

Cons: Fan burned out in 1.5 years of ownership
Fan was always loud
Ran hot
Took up a lot of room

Other Thoughts: In retrospect, this maybe wasn't the video card I should have bought, since I'm not a gamer. Put this in a new build that was to be used for basic internet browsing, word processing, and occasional Netflix watching. But I figured having more video processing muscle than I'd likely ever need wasn't going to hurt anything, the card had stellar reviews at the time, and seemed like a good value.

Unfortunately, I hated this video card. It ran hot, and the fan was LOUD even when the machine was just sitting idle. A year and a half after after installing it, the fan just died completely. The computer wasn't in a high dust environment and didn't run hot other then the video card itself, so there was no reason it should have quit so soon. I replaced it with a fanless card and have been much happier.

5 out of 5 eggsI Still Have One

Pros: I still use this card as my secondary card. 59./5.4 WEI rating. This card had 2 huge monitors hooked up to it for years. No problems so far. Upgraded to an HD 6770.

Cons: Not good for gaming.

2 out of 5 eggsBlown caps

Pros: It runs OK for couple of years

Cons: It had almost all of its caps blown up, one by one. It's odd though it can still work with several of its caps blown up. But quickly the others went too and I have to get a new one to replace it.

Other Thoughts: Heard other people complain about the same problem.

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize if the capacitors have failed. Unfortunately with electronics they will all suffer some kind of failure at one point or another. In terms of the capacitors once one fails it will cause a cascading failure as the other capacitors become overloaded.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing just amazing

Pros: So I had this card for about 4 years and played games on it all the time from low end games to even Crysis, yes Crysis, setting where set to low (some setting where on medium though) but i was able to get about 13-20fps. This card is a real trooper cause it blew 2 large capacitors and on the 3th it finally went but I ran with 2 blown capacitors for about 1 year or so which I didn't know could happen. I took this card to hell in back about 2 million times but it fought back. EVGA you did a good job creating this card.

Cons: limited in today's age of games other then that this card is crazy.

Other Thoughts: So from that I upgraded to a Radeon 6570m with a i7 2630qm, I should be set for a while. Lenovo y560p oh yeah best bang for under 700 cause it was on sale for 699.99.

2 out of 5 eggsPass on this one, I didn't

Pros: runs cool

Cons: cheap capacitors

Other Thoughts: I know the card is old but the 7600gt card is still decent for light game use. I had used this card in a Gigabyte P965 board for a few years and then put it in my wife's pc. This card was benchmarked but never overclocked. Evga used junk capacitors on this one. Four capacitors popped causing the pc not to boot. After a bit of troubleshooting I found the blown capacitors, pulled the card and now all is good.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lasted 3 years 11 months.

Cons: Lasted 3 years 11 months. Screen artifacts and machine hard locks these days at the desktop.

Other Thoughts: It was a decent card for the price in 2007, I guess. Never overclocked, was in my parents' XP web machine. It really didn't see any 3D usage at all, lol. I see Dave is probably pointing out why this card is failing, thanks buddy!

1 out of 5 eggsBad caps

Pros: Lasted this long. A bit over a couple years.

Cons: I heard a loud pop in the computer. Inspected my video card and found 6 blown caps. Did a search about this video card and found many people having the same problem.

Other Thoughts: I should have registered the product when I purchased it.
