4 out of 5 eggsRIP

Pros: Insanely powerful card. This card has been in my desktop for years and it still performs amazingly. Even now, in 2013, I can only think of maybe 2 games I've played that have been an issue for this card. Mostly everything else - mid to high settings still. I was playing Bioshock Infinite on it just last month - smooth as can be.

Cons: The 8800 GTX seems to have a history of over-heating problems. If you look it up, a lot of people complain about their card cooking and becoming defective over time. In my rig, it was idling at 70c and powering games at high 80s. I had occasional video crashes over my ownership of the card but nothing has killed it yet.

Other Thoughts: I only removed this card last week because I thought it was finally dead, but after receiving a 295, I found out it was actually my motherboard, so my 8800 is still in working order.

Could probably take a bullet and still play Battlefield 3.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I purchased this card around Nov. 2006 and I am still using it right now. At the time I purchased it, it was around $650, but I knew it would last, eVGA makes good cards. It still works, although by now it is a bit outdated. Can still play these games at mid-high setting: BFBC2, WoW, L4D2, MW2, Borderlands, etc.

Cons: It is a big card.

Other Thoughts: It lasted me over 5 years and is still working great. It is almost time for replacement, but this card will continue working in my spare computer.

5 out of 5 eggsok product

Pros: great card have had it since it came out and still kicks bu77 in new games.

Cons: stopped working after 4 years and unfortunately I didn't register for warranty because they extended it to lifetime.

Other Thoughts: I put it in the oven for 10 mins and it reflows the solder. The card works for 4-6 months then fails again. REad the forums if you have problems with your 8800GTX

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! What a deal!

Pros: I think this card is awesome! I was even able to overclock it a bit (keeping it safe). I play Crysis on high settings with a resolution of 1680x1050 with about 33 fps on average(no AA or it would kill my system). Runs smooth. Most other games are just child's play with this GPU. Overclocking it is easy too. The utilities make it easy to OC and save your settings as a profile so you can just click back and forth.

Cons: None that I can find at this point.

Other Thoughts: Q6600, abit IP35 Pro LGA 775, EVGA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB, 4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 dual channel, Zalman CNPS9700 cooler, KINGWIN ABT-600MA1S 600W Power Supply all wrapped in a CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 case

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Hello Crysis. Awesome power in this card. Had a little trouble OC'ing but I think I just need a bit better cooling. Tons of power in this beast, a decent upgrade from a 7950 GX2 even.

Cons: Should've waited for bargain prices to kick in soon, as I know they're coming around. Couldn't wait, though.
