5 out of 5 eggseVGA really rocks! Fast rebate

Pros: It was a good deal and has a lifetime warranty!
It's quiet, and has more power than my wife is likely to need (she's not a hardcore gamer), but it allows her workstation to double as a gaming machine. It plays BF2142 & UT2004 just fine. If you download the nVidia v178.13 driver this card has PhysX capability, as do all the GeForce 8xxx/9xxx and newer cards.

Cons: None really. Didn't come with games?

Other Thoughts: I ordered this on 8/24/2008, and we received the rebate check last week - we ordered a number of items that had rebates starting on 7/24, but this was the first rebate to arrive. Major kudos to eVGA for rapid rebate fulfillment!

5 out of 5 eggs8800?

Pros: handles everything I throw at it, plug and play, price, new egg,

Cons: had 2 wait 3 days to get it :0

Other Thoughts: drivers from cd then update at web site...who needs a 8800 when this puppy is less expensive and puts out...only hardcore gamers would deduct eggz

5 out of 5 eggs8600gts review

Pros: It's an 8 series card with decent horsepower and nice power requirements.

Cons: I use this in conjunction with 2 8800GTXs in SLI. My goal was to play WiC on a Dell 24" display (1920x1200) that was powered by the 2 8800s, then have the mega map up on a second monitor (1680x1050) that was powered by the 8600. It didn't work. I got dual monitor support and SLI without switching between the two, but i didn't get dual monitor support within games.
So... If that is why you're thinking about getting this, don't. Get a cheaper 8 series card.

Other Thoughts: My system is as follows:
Vista Ultimate x64
E6320 @ 3GHz w/ Zalman 9700 cooler
BFG 680i SLI
6GB RAM @1070MHz
8800GTX SLI @626/1450/2000
8600GTS
LG blu-ray reader
2x 150GB WD Raptor RAID 0
Dell 24" Ultrasharp
LG 20" Flatron

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very easy to install and played Call of Duty 2 on max settings. The card is quiet... VERY quiet, which makes me very happy.

Cons: Nothing I can think and so far so good.

Other Thoughts: Good video card at a reasonable price.

5 out of 5 eggsnice card

Pros: Solid feeling construction, and very decent performance. At the price (with rebate) it's definitely very worthy. Sure you could get something cheaper, or spend a little bit more to get higher performance - but as a light gamer and geared more towards watching HD content, this is working out just fine. I was building my 2nd computer for living room use, and considered going up to lower-end 9 series, but realized this might be better (especially with rebate, again) price/performance.

Cons: bigger memory would have been even nicer - but it's fast enough to make up the size.

Other Thoughts: I've been very happy with all eVGA video cards - from highend to lowend. I haven't experienced any problems like some other brands cards.

5 out of 5 eggsgood deal

Pros: Painless installation. Great price with the rebate. Solid performance. Did I say rebate?

Cons: Doesn't toast bread. The included CD with trial software... sucks.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this card for the gamer on a budget (like myself). This card will see you through most games quite well.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: Decent graphics in cod4 and TQ. Vista experience is really good. Small form factor allows it to fit in my mATX case. Rebate makes it a very good cost/performance card.

Cons: You need to register with evga and download precision or some other fan controller program because it is only set to run at 30% stock. At that speed most games will get the gpu into the 100c death range. I bumped the speed up to 75% and the noise is tolerable and it keeps the temps under control.

Other Thoughts: Temps still get into the mid-80's while running cod4 even with the fan turned up as high as I can audibly bear it. I will be replacing the stock cooling with a 3rd party vga solution within the year. Hope this card lasts me at least 2 or 3 yrs.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Video Card

Pros: Very decent video card, especially for the price. Keeps up with most high end newer games on medium settings, I would recommend running SLI to play newer games on high settings(crysis for ex.).

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried overclocking
