Take advantage of the next generation of superscalar GPU architecture at a reasonable price with this GeForce 8600T PCI-e based card from EVGA. 256MB of GDDR3 memory and a 400MHZ RAMDAC easily handle Vista’s Aero interface. Add another card for extra power and speed as you need it, thanks to the SLI function built into the cards.
Both DVI-I connectors are dual-link enabled so you can run today’s biggest monitors at up to 2560x1600 resolution. The S-Video port can also send an HD signal through the adapter so you have multiple options.
NVIDIA PureVideo technology combines high-definition video decode acceleration and post-processing to deliver amazing picture clarity with smooth video, accurate color and precise image scaling. On its own discrete programmable core, it provides the great picture and smooth movies with minimal CPU utilization and power.

Nice for Price
- Pros: This Card is Great, Plays all games presently out on all max settings with no lag at all. a single card does tend to be slower in most games making it lag a small percentage of the time if AA is on full blast, in SLI mode two of these blast away the competition. making my X1950 PRO look like a Baby's Toy.
Fear Benchmarked Maximum Settings
70fps minimum 105 average 197 Maximum
Games played on High with ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS
FEAR,Black and White 2, Oblivion, WOW, Transformers(for fun), HL 2 EP1, Halo 2, Shadow Run, Supreme Commander,World in Complict MP Beta, WarHammer MOC,
- Cons: BF2142 Has a wierd Yellow Screen Glitch right before spawn, but works fine after that. i have had it crash once in BF 2142 but
- Other Thoughts: although it is not fully supported by some older games this card is well worth the money
One Problem
- Pros: Great Price, Great Performance.
Runs Fury on high end render with little to no difficulty. Runs WoW in 8x anti-aliasing max settings with no difficulty.
- Cons: Heat.
Idles at 54 degrees celcius, 68-72 ingame. I am getting extreme screen tearing, and even complete graphical lockups. I am hoping I can get this resolved with different drivers.

good
- Pros: works, tried to play crysis and it handled great on medium and would play on high but was jerky. good plug in and play card
- Cons: none
Great card, rebate rejected
- Pros: Bought this as part of my new from-parts Christmas rig. Great card for the money. Runs everything but the most demanding games (e.g. Crysis) on highest settings with barely a stutter.
Sure, it's not the current ~$400 sweetheart of the month but it's cheap and runs great.
- Cons: $30 rebate was rejected. "Invalid Purchase Date." I call B.S. since the rebate was advertised at the time of purchase; if the invoice was going to disqualify me from getting the rebate, don't advertise it in the first place. Shame on you, EVGA.
- Other Thoughts: I'll know better next time. Don't mess with rebates, the sticker price is what you'll pay. If the company can find any possible way to deny the rebate uncontested, they will.
Otherwise a solid product, working fine.
- Pros: inexpensive. works well for most games
- Cons: only 256mb. alot of games are requiring 512mb now.
