4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Small, will run anything I've got at medium-high settings, and the price is definitely right.

Cons: Small heat sink makes it difficult to keep it cool. My case has two side fans blowing directly on it with an exhaust fan directly behind it, and I still have to set the GPU fan speed to full to keep it from overheating after an hour of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. This is at factory settings, no overclocking. The weird part is, Nvidia nTune keeps setting the fan speed back down to minimum on it's own, even though I have it set to direct control.

Other Thoughts: Running it with an Althon 64 X2 6000+ and two gig of RAM. Nice little card for a nice little price. I just wish it had a beefier heatsink.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good BUDGET card

Pros: This Card is a great card for a Budget system. I bought it for my new computer and it ran flawlessly. The card Plays COD4 High at a very fun Rate. It will Play Crysis on Medium, though I had problems with some models disapearing(It was fixed with a few setting changes)

Cons: You Wont Be Maxing Crysis or some other new games, But for < $150 It makes up for it.

Other Thoughts: Use Evgas Step-up program (like I didt). You send your video card back within 3 months of purchase and they subtract the purchase price from that of the new card. My new 8800gt arrived today and I am very satisfied with this strategy.

5 out of 5 eggsthe safe choice

Pros: bought this card specifically for my son to play UT3. yes, we wanted the 8800gt and could afford it, but too many reviews complained of the 8800gt running too hot. Not wanting any problems of any sort, this 8600gt runs cool with no problems. been running UT3 for 3 days with no problems. good performance.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i'll be buying the 8800gt, or the next generation, when the heat issues are resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card for the $$$

Pros: EVGA, SX10, 8600GT. Card worked right out of the box with zero issues. I downloaded the latest nVidia vista 64 bit drivers instead of using the CD (its just as quick and they are the non evga drivers! Card makes vista run purely smooth with no aero lag, I tested out SimCity Societies on this card, and well... That game just has ultra intense graphics. It runs good with this card, and thus not a bad deal at all. Recommend to anyone.

Cons: Not an 8800GTX but we all knew that already

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it, It works just as you should expect for a card of this price. Defenitly worth it! And to the reviewer below me, sorry you had bad luck, EVGA is one of the best out there!

1 out of 5 eggscard is probably good, steer away from evga

Pros: It's probably a good card if you run into ZERO problems with it.

Cons: It came from EVGA

Other Thoughts: I bought this card and it didn't function fully. Everything was laggy and I'm sure it was just me, but EVGA did not help me. The manufacturer that responded to a bad review here only helped me for a day or two and eventually stopped responding before I got the problem solved. I've wasted lots of time getting this problem fixed due to whatever reason for a complete failure to respond.

I would go with this card but from any other manufacturer just in case you have any sort of struggle that requires any kind of feedback. (you never know)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Bucks

Pros: High Power video card for the money. Vista rates this card a 5.6 out of a possible 5.9. The question is it worth 200.00 more to get to 5.9? If your not a hard core PC gamer this is all the card you will ever need.

Cons: NO Cons Evga is a great video card company I have two of these, an outstanding 6800xt, and a 7600GT. I cant say what their customer support is like but isn't it great after 4 cards I never had to find out. And for the first reviewer. I think you are underpowered. All my supplies had the required amps. Oh there is one con... All my boxes never had the case badges {:O( "EVGA, I want My Badges" LOL

Other Thoughts: Liked it so much I got me one too {:O) Put this in my wifes new build Q6600 2.4ghz, evga 86oo GT Superclocked, Gigabyte 965_ds3 ver3.3, 2 gig of Crucial Tracer PC2-8000 Cl5 1000mhz memory, Audigy2 ZS sound card, Seagate 320 hard drive, Samsung 20x20x sata SH-S203 dvd burner and stable as a rock.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 5 weeks

Pros: none

Cons: This card worked for almost 5 weeks and then started having artifacts showing up on screen along with blured color, and screen appeared pixelated.Since the 30 day replacement period expired with newegg (barely),I have to send the card into Evaga for repair. Card is smaller than expected. What a hassel.

Other Thoughts: Get something else
