5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Cheap replacement for a dead mobo video card.
fan-less cooling

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: A power surge somehow managed to burn out the mobo video card, prob just the connector. This was cheaper than trying to fix it and destroying the mobo in the process.

3 out of 5 eggsNot For Gaming!

Pros: Runs great on XP, Vista, and Win7. Runs OK in Ubuntu 9.04 (and above). Easy to install. SLI Mode is OK (Not great, but OK). Great for 2D CAD and Low quality/small 3D apps/games.

Cons: Horrible at large scale rendering or any HD content. Bad with full-screen apps or spanning across multiple monitors. Drops frames every now-and-then if above 1280x1024.

Other Thoughts: This came standard in one of my systems I bought from a gaming pc supplier. I do not recommend this for a gaming PC. It's great for 2D CAD but take it beyond that and it'll disappoint you.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't purchase this card!

Pros: It was easy to install.

Cons: After 32 days, the card died! Doesn't work at all. I put the old video card in and it works, but this card doesn't. I can't return it because it's beyond the 30 day return policy, so I have to "eat" the cost. I wouldn't buy another one!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

If your card has experienced issues you can contact us at (888) 881-3842 and we will be happy to assist you with any diagnosis and replacement if needed.

Thank you
Shannon

4 out of 5 eggsDecent, yet HOT

Pros: Plays well with most low end games, Loves windows Vista and 7. (both of which enhanced fetures active) Easy to install, No fan so extremely dead silent. Verry reliable

Cons: no fan. Currently im running it in 7, people say the temp chip is wrong. Vista, and 7 using speedfan both say that the card is in the range of 100 - 120C. Ive never seen a card do this before. I guess its ok though, ive had no distortions in visuals. and it hasnt affected anything else. Currently looking for a cooler for this card. This is the reason ive taken off an egg

Other Thoughts: Get a VGA cooler for it!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Price Works Good

Pros: This card has a really low price. It will run the Aero Theme in both Vista and 7. Doesnt require a large power supply. Oh yeah.... it sorta runs COD2Modern Warfare...

Cons: Not great for gameing. It does run COD2Modern Warfare but as you would expect, its very jumpy and cant run any visual extras.

Other Thoughts: I would recomend this card to anyone who is building a computer for a user who doesnt want to play high end games. It works great for Windows 7!!!

5 out of 5 eggsThis card works

Pros: I had a Dell desktop that needed dual display out. Picked this card because it was one of the cheaper models.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: For entry level PCs that need dual output, this card gets it done, and it gets it done inexpensively.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great card for an old computer -- one which is not going to be used for gaming. I've read of how drivers on the CD, out of the box, failed to work. That wasn't the case for me although the boxed drivers do only go to a resolution of 1440 x 900. I have 2 active computers -- 1 assembled this past April and the other a year before. Every piece of each one of those came from Newegg. I only rarely buy anywhere else.

Cons: None! If I were even a small-timer gamer, I might. I bought for what I needed.

Other Thoughts: Only one -- Buy NewEgg!

Pros: Using this for my HTPC. Incredibly good deal. I can run WoW and quite a few other things. No fan needed!

Cons: None so far

3 out of 5 eggsDecent card

Pros: It's a good card for watching online videos and surfing the web. Can play games from up to 2005.

Cons: Cant play any game at an acceptable resolution unless it was made in 2005 or before.

Other Thoughts: This can be a good card if you can find a way to ventilate it and then overclock it. Just so you know, this card doesn't have a fan so overclocking makes it overheat. I tried overclocking mine, It overheated whenever it started a game. The drivers stopped working and the temperature kept going up so i had to ctrl+alt+del it and close it before the graphics card died. The temperature got up to 81 degrees celcius. That's roughly 177 degrees farenheit.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, with correct drivers

Pros: Great performance at a very good price. Works great with Windows XP Pro and Linux (Kubuntu).

Cons: Don't even bother with the drivers that come in the box. When you order this item, go to the EVGA web site and download the most recent drivers, they work great.

Other Thoughts: This is a great upgrade. I installed this card and disabled my on-board video, reclaimed the shared memory and have much better video and better performace as well.
