5 out of 5 eggsbest generic style simple PCI video

Pros: As far as taking any of our boring workstations into a better GUI environment these PCI cards are easy to work with.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is the standard for simple video solutions... as far as gaming I would say dont be a putz and go ahead and get from newegg one of their better GeForce cards...

4 out of 5 eggsPCI Graphics

Pros: Price Great. Setup was easy, Graphics fair,Worked fine in my eMachine T2885

Cons: Not the best you can get for a PCI slot. Sent back for an ATI X1300 PCI.

Other Thoughts: Card does not have DVI out. X1300PCI does and looks a lot nicer on my HDTV

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than buying a new system

Pros: This card was placed in an E-Machines box that was inherited with a business purchase. This was an upgrade from 64MB of shared motherboard memory, no AGP slot available. This board has enhanced the performance of our 2D graphical software immensely. Great value for the price.

Cons: All documentation is on CD, no paper manual. This is only a negative if you are building a new system from scratch and don't have another system nearby to read the CD.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised to discover the system automatically recognized the video card and changed the BIOS for me. The hassle it created came from not getting a video signal from the on-board connnector. I plugged the connector into the new card to confirm the switch was made to BIOS. So, if you install and don't get a signal, try the other connector before other debugging. Next upgrade is an LCD monitor and another RAM module, of course from Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsFor 40$ it is perfect. Resolution is high for remote purposes

Pros: High resolution. I use remote desktop to connect to the machine with this video card in it, from a 24" LCD so it is a seemless integration. It really isn't bad for xx$. 128MB is just enough to run what i need it to anyways. I haven't tried, and won't be trying any games.

Cons: it isn't an 8800GTX ;x

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Very happy with this card, and even though it has a passive cooling setup, there havent been any over heating problems with it at all. so i'm very happy with it. The Card works really well with both Server 2003 and Suse Linux 10.2.

Cons: none, i use it in my file server. so it does everything i need it to.

Other Thoughts: Newegg ROCKS as always! I'll never buy from anywhere else! Cards Great, get it if you need to put on in your system for like a file server or a budget build. Nvidia is always good, so is AMD.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great in Dell Dimension 2350

Pros: Inexpensive, fanless, small card, good brand. Does an extraordinary job over the integrated intel 64mb graphics. Games ran smoother, photoshop rendering got better. I updated with latest drivers from nvidia.com.

Cons: No cons.
Dimension 2350 does not have an agp slot so I had to settle with PCI graphics. Didn't risk getting a better card due to the weak 200W power supply. (this card requires min. 250W, I'm glad this card works in this machine without flinching)

Other Thoughts: Go into the bios and disable the integrated video card and set the PCI as the main card. My system setup:
P4 1.8ghz HT 400mhz FSB stock; 1GB DDR 266mhz RAM(max capacity); 80GB & 40GB 7200rpm HDs; 1 CD-RW; 1 DVD-ROM; 1 Floppy Drive; 1 d-link 54mbps card; and most importantly, this video card! I'm sure the power is maxed out! If you have integrated graphics and is looking for a nice upgrade & inexpensive card, this one should do the trick!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: for the price it works good. but i did not try it for video games. it replace the onboard video for a internet surfing computer, and did a good job.

Cons: i dont think it would do a great job on 3d rendering. the pci bus is pretty slow.

Other Thoughts: if you dont do any high demand video stuff this card is great!

3 out of 5 eggsGeForce MX4000

Pros: Its okay for the price, but you won't notice that much of an improvment over integrated graphics. But its cheap and eVGA lets you step up your graphics card if you accidentally buy this.

Cons: I bought a GeForce FX5500 PCI for 20 bucks more and it blows this one away. As much as a PCI card can blow away another PCI card, that is.

Other Thoughts: This is a good card if you dont really need a graphics capability. It has split monitor capability, and if your integrated graphics go out this works as a replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Good price, easy install. Not too bad for being a PCI video card. Good replacement for those old HP computers that do not have a AGP slot.

Cons: Software Packaging.

Other Thoughts: EVGA needs to pack their driver CD better. Major damage to the cd from having it bounce around inside the box. That would be ok but the cd was not inside its protective sleeve. The sleeve itself is NOT sealed thus making the cd fall out and slide around inside the box.
