5 out of 5 eggsGives Life To Old AGP

Pros: Evga Lifetime Warranty
Went from geforce 6600GT to this card and it will be the last upgrade i make on this system and im happy i did im playing COD4 @ 1680x1050 with 30-90FPS. I also checked some of my other games like dnd online, tabula rasa and they went from low - high & very high settings.

Cons: It is agp if you can afford pci-express go for that.

Other Thoughts: Looked at XFX. After the reviews and speaking to other techs they advised me to stay away from XFX and Im happy i waited for this.

5 out of 5 eggsRevive that machine!

Pros: If you have an aging AGP 4x/8x this card if for you! This card just replaced a Nvidia Geforce 6200 and what a huge difference! All settings are now on high and runs great with my AMD 3200+ overclocked at 2.4Ghz on an Asus K8N MB with 2gigs Corsair RAM. UT2004, COD2, Company of Heroes, Prince of Persia, Command and Conquer 2 & 3, Team Fortress 2 and HL2 all looked fantastic!!! Have yet to play Bioshock, I'm looking forward to that! Extremely easy install, super quiet, and came with an adapter for a standard monitor plug! I didn't use the drivers from disc just went straight to Nvidia web site for drivers and had no troubles installing.

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Got to love Newegg! If it wasn't for them it would almost be impossible to get AGP cards these days! This should keep me from having to update to a whole new machine for a little while longer!

5 out of 5 eggsStill doin' AGP? Do this card!

Pros: Install smooth. No apparent defects. Unbelievable improvement over previous card. Ran Oblivion, Call of Duty 4, etc. all out with virtually no degradation.

Cons: None thus far.

Other Thoughts: Prior research before purchasing proved the general consensus about the card was positive. Of course I can't A-B every AGP card out there, but this is definitely worth the bread. Oh yeah, NewEgg just nailed it like usual. I got this baby in one day!

2 out of 5 eggsDOA =-(

Pros: It looked good.

smelled great, haha..

Cons: didn't fly here.

opened it christmas EVE

plugged it in, IT IS HUGE. i have a massive mobo. 12.5X 11.8 and, yeah,, barley missed my hard drive bays.

DEAD. dead dead dead. booted with a yellow TXT screen and loaded windows with a yellow tint. fan didn't spin. after annitial boot it burnt me as i tried to take it out. Tried again no luck.

kept making my pc freeze for the 3minutes it was running.

Other Thoughts: might want to upgrade EVGA's quality checking from 1 in every 500 to 1 in every 20.. cause this sucks weiner. i was looking forward to opening it up throwing it in, giving my mom my FX5500 AGP and gaming till i died from exhaustion .

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing upgrade, reasonable price

Pros: Relatively easy to install.
Incredible graphics on AGP MB
Good price

Cons: Card a little long with supply cord attached

Other Thoughts: I installed this card because my Sapphire Radeon card's fan broke loose and burned up my previous GPU. My box is still decent for being 4 years old and didn't want to sink the money into a new MB, RAM, etc, etc so I tried to find the best NVidia AGP card I could. I am more than happy so far and WOW what an upgrade. I also paid less for this card than I did originally for the Radeon (don't ya just love technology). Be careful to get the card fully seated - I tried 4-5 times before I got it in. My Asus P4P800 MB made the longer card difficult to install due to the location of the RAM locking pins and with the external power cable attached it bumps up pretty tight against one hard drive. Perseverence pays though because the graphics are incredible. New Egg got it to me in 2 days - just wish I had free shipping and it came with a game. Oh well! I am happy.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card!!!

Pros: This is one great card if you're not ready to make the move to PCI Express yet. I plan on doing a full upgrade sometime in 2008 so I bought this card to hold me over. I upgraded from an Asus Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra with 256MB RAM. With the 5900, I could not play Call of Duty 4, Crysis, or Bioshock. The games would not even open, even with the latest drivers. With this new EVGA 7800GS card, all the latest games work at very good settings. I was actually surprised. Bioshock and Call of Duty 4 can be played nicely at their highest settings. Crysis at medium settings. I ran 3DMark03 many times before I swapped out the cards. My score more than doubled when I installed this card. Very impressed!

Cons: You need a very strong PSU for this card. I have an Antec 480 watt true PSU. I'm a power user so I have a lot going on in my PC case. Was running 2 Tornado fans along with other fans, a fan controller, a few small neon lights, 1 CD and 2 DVD drives, 2 500GB hard drives. When I installed the 7900GS, my PC became unstable. I suspected it was from the additional power requirements. I had to disable the lights, the 2 fans, and one CD drive. After that, all was fine.

Other Thoughts: My PC is a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, Gateway FHD2400 LCD monitor (the LCD is incredible by the way).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: Great card for the price if you do not want to upgrade your system to pci express. Better than trying to get the 7900 series from xfx that might fizzle out, evga is by far a better company to deal with and their products are outstanding.

Cons: NoNe So FaR!!!!

Other Thoughts: Bought this card to revive my AGP system. Bought another gb of ram from newegg too. So 2 gb of ram, pentium 4 3.0 ghz, and went from a 660gt to this, very noticable difference. 3DMARK03 from 8202 to 13212!!!!!
