4 out of 5 eggsLooking for 2nd card

Pros: Able to handle every game currently on the market at above 40fps with full eye candy @ 1280x1024 (flatpanel's limitation).

Cons: Stock HSF is loud, and I'm finding that it is insufficient when overclocking the GPU/mem. Constantly hitting 60C at load, in a full tower case with good airflow. Falling behind the 7900GT in terms of price/performance. If I wasn't looking for SLI without having to revamp my build, I'd go 7900GT.
I don't even play games enough to justify a second card for SLI, but oh well... :p

Other Thoughts: Note that eVGA's 7800GT/GT-CO cards stop the GPU/mem clock at 470/1100. This is the limit where you'll notice no glitches or artifacts - if you want more, get aftermarket cooling. Also, if you're going to OC your graphics card, program the ROM (use something like like Nibitor) instead of something like coolbits.

5 out of 5 eggsJust some advice

Pros: Great Speed, plays Elderscrolls Oblivion at 1280 with most options maxed out.

Cons: Had a problem with the graphics driver. Tried 7 different drives, eVGA service useless they assume everyone is an idiot.

Turns out automatic updates downloads a driver that overrides nVidia's. Everything looks ok, they when Windows XP Pro boots, it shuts off the video card, I could actually hear the fan on the card turn off. Had to reinstall windows and do all updates manually.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Easy to install, Runs all games at max--CS on all high 80-90 fps.. HL2 at 100-110 fps..3Dmark06 4155 with 2.2 GHz X2 proc 2 gigs ram..no artifacts, no problems. Runs 46c at idle, 58c after 2 hours of CS with standard case fans...shipped with 2 DVI to VGA adapters, which is handy if you don't have a DVI monitor

Cons: well..the 7900 series just came out.. but this card handles todays games amazingly well

Other Thoughts: check out eVGA's stepup program, it's quite spectacular

5 out of 5 eggsevga 7800gt

Pros: awesome card, if ur just using 1 card in ur system and dont care about having the latest and greatest then get this one. i put mine in my latest build and ran the benches...simply incredible numbers for a bargain card. 3dmark1-31209 3dmark3-17566 3dmark5-8105. doesnt beat a gtx..but its up there, and sli'd im sure they will :) . i would buy this card again. HEY! i am buying this card again! i want sli now..

Cons: the stock fan is noisy typical nvidia fodder. it cools mediocre. i'm going to put a couple of arctic coolers on mine

Other Thoughts: if u try to run this card or any card for that matter, in a case that isnt adequetly ventilated or ur system is already boaderline unstable ur going to have problems running games of course. theres nothing wrong with this card except the user imo..lol

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: Great card, runs cool, nice heat sink, quiet after windows loads, no artifacting, no lines, no BS.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought this a month before the 7900 series cards came out, found about about the 7900 a week after. However this thing worked right out of the box, monster of a card but doesn't obstruct anything in my case.

I also overclocked it to 519MHZ core and 1200MHZ memory which if you haven't noticed is as good if not better then 7800GTX speeds and almost as good as 7900 series speeds. My friend got a 7900 series and mine actually runs 4 degrees cooler idle.

If this card gets below 270 bucks then buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card... Not So Great Mobo

Pros: This card is a really awesome card. And sure, the 7900GT is better, BUT for some of us who already own one of these and want another for SLI, then this is a route to go. This is the 4th time I've used this card and I'm still impressed. Just make sure you use WQHL certified drivers, not EVGA's lame ones.

Cons: I did the mobo combo for a build I did for my friend. It gets the job done but don't expect a bunch of bells and whistles. We haven't had any problems with the mobo-gpu combo yet and I'm pretty sure it will stay that way.

Other Thoughts: I use the 256-p2-n16 in my setup and will be adding this one to it. I would got with the same but as of today when I went to order it, Newegg no longer carries it. For those of you having the trouble with the X8 instead of x16, try using the middle PCIe slot if your using the EVGA mobo that comes with this. I my self have an MSI mobo and it works fine on that too.
