NVIDIA's ninth generation series of graphics cards brings cutting edge technology and advanced capabilities together for best-in-class performance. The 9600GT is the solution for all your graphic needs. It’s Microsoft Vista ready and equipped with a PCI-Express 2.0 interface for the most up-to-date system. Its NVIDIA SLI technology doubles your performance range letting you use two graphics cards in parallel.
Support for DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, OpenGL 2.0 and NVIDIA's PureVideoHD technologies are also built in. The card's core clock runs at 675MHz, relieving your CPU of pixel crunching duty. Data surges through the 9600's 64 stream processors which are fed by 512MB of 256-bit 1800MHz GDDR3 memory. Twin dual-linked DVI and 400 MHz RAMDAC lets you display 2560 x 1600 resolution video and graphics on even the largest monitors.
The signal can also be output to other video displays via the S-Video and HDTV connectors for maximum flexibility. The 9600GT delivers fluid frame rates and HD video with brilliant clarity to give you an entertainment experience that is easy on the eyes – as well as on the wallet.

Stitso You're a m o r o n!
- Pros: This card is awesome,I have had x1950xtx, 2900xt, 2900pro, 8800gts 320 and this card has outperformed all of them hands down. It killed the rest of the benchmarks of these other cards by a huge margin. CC3, CoD4, Supreme Commander all maxed out with great eye candy and results.
- Cons: I wish people like Stitso would actually own the cards or even have a clue before posting their, clearly ignorant cons of a card!! I am just sick of coming on here to get help from other buyers, on making a decision on what to get and you get these self proclaimed "Highly Knowledgable" people that always have something bad to say on something they have never owned. That being said....
- Other Thoughts: I done a lot of research for deciding on this card. I was almost going to get the 3870 , but after reading all the results from a TomsHardware review, this thing performed almost even with it w/o AA on. But once you turned on that eye candy this card killed it. So in MY OPINION, I would say for the price it can't be beat.
Didn't buy, but...
- Pros: Okay, first thing you should know : I didn't buy this, my friend did. I just built his computer. ANYWAYS: This card, is pretty much a lot more than I expected. I knew it was mid range, and that it competes with current 88** cards, I still didn't expect it. Installed, booted right up. A little longer than I expected, but it's fine. Runs extremely cool. At stock fan settings, runs at 41c idle, 55c load.. at 100%, 35c idle, 49c load. Amazing. Only game I have tested yet was CS:S & HL2: EP2. CS:S got 210fps, highest AA/AF & at 1280x1024. HL2:EP2 got 170fps.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: This card is simply amazing. If you buy it, you won't regret it, especially if you're coming from something less than a 8800 series video card. As for me, I'm waiting for the 9800GTS / GTX / GT, probably not GTX because that's too much money, but something decent. EVGA is the only company I buy from. Step up program is amazing, and you just can't beat their AMAZING warranty! I LOVE EVGA & NVIDIA & NEWEGG!!

Amazing!
- Pros: Amazing card, all though I bought an XFX version at best buy and over payed about $30 I dont really regret it. I run games with no problems, ex. Call of Duty 4 Max Settings 1680x1050 Resolution and x4AA I never lag, And Company of Heroes with everything almost at Ultra and x4AA, I get 36.2 Frames in that game, Far Cry 2 1680x1050 x2AA and everything on max graphics no problem. Simple one of the best cards per $ value out there I dont care who you are or what you say I am simply stunned by one of these. My friend has a GTX260 and it barley out performs mine. He gets 40.7 Frames in CoH same graphics settings.
Also very easy to overclock with no significant heat.
- Cons: I over payed a little more than I wanted but have no regrets.
Just as long as a GTX 260
- Other Thoughts: My Rig: All below $460 Total

- Pros: Great Price and respectable power, especially in SLI
- Cons: Better cards may be available now
- Other Thoughts: In SLI and x16 slots, this rocks!
ok
- Pros: pretty good quality for the price, runs fast but a little warm
- Cons: outdated, just get a 1GB
