5 out of 5 eggsLasted 5+ years of almost daily use.

Pros: Frame rate, quality of resolution for a series 8 card, longevity.

Cons: heat, length of card

Other Thoughts: I bought this on Newegg back in August of 08 and it died sometime in 2014. (iirc) It ran off the 12 volt of my Antec Earthwatts 380 without any problems. The card is a bit long but will fit in a std ATX case. I paid 94.00 for it in 08 so I figure I got my money's worth out of it before it started showing artifacts and crapping out with a bunch of lines. I since have replaced it with a NOS BFG 8800GT with a lifetime warranty I bought off of theBay for about 35.00 shipped.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat deal

Pros: pci2.0, overclocks nicely, only paid 69.00 after rebate. I use as a home theater gpu and use for Folding Proteins. Handles all games I play well. Incredible price to performance ratio.

Cons: rebate wait

Other Thoughts: still waiting for rebate 4 weeks now.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best,,,period

Pros: Price/performance ratio. Overclocks like a charm, runs all new games 30+ framerates, in SLI these would be insane. Runs silent and very cool compared to other cards. Its single slot and it fit into my matx case. My rebate was approved. Newegg shipped it to me fast, well packed, undamaged.

Cons: None None None, oh I did receive from the rebate center a mail approved for up to 40$ in evga rebate products from newegg. Guess this means you cant purchase more than that in rebates from this company or something like that

Other Thoughts: Get this, even if you want to upgrade in the future tossing it wont hurt your bank and all the higher end cards will be cheaper by then. My OC on this 700/1000/1750 and i didnt even try for more, this is with the EVGA precision tool you can download off their site.

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased!

Pros: Serves my needs as i don't game. With free shipping and rebate, it was a sweet deal to pass up.

Cons: Hmm, i knew this going in but folks, this card is long! I have two of these in an Antec 900 case and it was a struggle to attach the power plugs. I ended up removing the hard drive cages to complete my build.

Bottom line. You need a very roomy case!

Other Thoughts: EVGA is great on rebates. Got both rebates within a month of submission!
In effect my two cards averaged $70 a piece. You can't beat that! Thanks Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value card

Pros: Excellent card! Plug it in and work great. I don't play high end games. This is good for World of Warcraft.

Cons: The rebate takes a long time. I Bought it at the end of June and submitted my rebate about a week after. I still don't have any status on it. I went to EVGA website and try to track my rebate. It's not even in the system.

Other Thoughts: Buy it but don't count on your rebate going through.

5 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable

Pros: - Excellent performance
- Price is a steal
- Single slot / fairly small
- Runs very cool, especially for single slot
- Plays all my games on linux :)

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: Would recommend for a budget to mid-range gaming rig on linux or windows. Great bang for the buck.

5 out of 5 eggsA great intro to the 8800 series!

Pros: PRICE PRICE PRICE!!! Can handle most recent games such as BF2142, COD4 and MOHA with mid settings. Does a good job at a great price.

Cons: None really. Upgrading will probably happen sooner than with an 8800gt. 96 pixel pipes vs. 112 on the 8800gt's(some have 128). Not a con for the price though, just can't rip through the games like the gt.

Other Thoughts: If you've got $20-$40 more you can get an 8800 or 9800gt for not much more than I paid for this one two months ago. Not as future proof as those cards, but you already knew that. Of course I got the rebate with mine(almost forgot, it's been so long), so the price on this was pretty dirt cheap.

It's a great upgrade from the 6 or 7 series, which is what I came from(7600gt). If you're on a budget you can't beat it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget performer

Pros: Quiet (not silent but not annoying where it bothers you), plays all games on high, CSS, TF2, HL2, Portal, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect.

Cons: Only clocked at 550 mHz. Video card is a little longer than some other 8800 gs models but still fits in my case.

Other Thoughts: I don't usually do overclocking and this card is perfect for me when it comes to just doing normal tasks and playing some games.
