The GeForce 8 series offers a complete family of graphic cards ready to meet the unique needs of their users. The series features a unified DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 & Open GL 2.0 architecture to produce stunning 3-dimensional graphics and lifelike textures. With 10-bit per channel output, the 8 series produces higher fidelity color. The cards support SLI and NVIDIA's PureVideo HD.

The 8800GTS is rock-solid and delivers blistering video and graphic performance. Its 754 million transistors can handle anything your games throw at it. Accelerated processors offer faster video and other high-demand graphic effects. 128 stream processors are fed by 512MB of 256-bit GDDR3 SDRAM running at 1944MHz to deliver a full 2560 x 1600 resolution.

The 678MHz core clock keeps everything moving and the 400MHz RAMDAC and twin dual-linked DVI let you output to multiple and large monitors. Video can be streamed via HDTV or S-Video outputs. The 8800GTS blows past the competition for best-in-class graphic performance at an affordable price.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Card, great price

Pros: Great card for the money, upgraded from a 8600gts to this and can't believe how big of a jump it was. I haven't OC'd it yet, probably wont, but from what I see this card has an even greater potential.

Cons: Maybe fan noise? Maybe only because computer is a foot from my bed, though only time i hear it is on startup and sometimes when i crank it up all the way when i was playing with some settings.

Other Thoughts: Overall great card, just picked up another to go SLI. Going to be first time cant wait to see what it puts out!

5 out of 5 eggsPretty sweet

Pros: The card runs great cod 4 max graphics 125 fps constant
over 200+ in tf2
its a big card had to move my hd out into a new slot for this beast

Cons: the evga precision is sweet but the fan does get noisy under a loud run fan at 75 percent and my frames have been dipping lately in cod 4

Other Thoughts: ebga the only way to go im taking this crd in a month and upgrading to a 280 for what is supposed ot be a 150 dollar difference which wont seem so bad when i spend another 150 or so

5 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: great video card went from a 7900gt, and wow what a difference. i stepped up from my 8800gts to a 260 now but i loved the 8800

Cons: fans always set to 40% have to manually adjust it if you want it to go higher. my gtx 260 runs at the same idle temps as this card.

Other Thoughts: love evga and newegg :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Graphics Card!

Pros: I love this card like everyone stated in here. Getting 250+ fps on stress test for CSS without AA and 150 fps with AA. My fps drop as low as 80 fps when playing in a 50 man server. I'm able to play BF2 with all the settings max out without lag. This card can handle anything! I'm buying another one soon to SLI my G92.

Cons: The temperature can be hot at times. Also, this card is huge! Make sure you have plenty of room before purchasing this card.

Other Thoughts: I missed out on the 90 Day step up program. I wanted to upgrade to 9800 GTX.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Great Card, clock was correct from the factory (678MHz) and I didnt have to tweak anything. Runs great, using latest WHQL driver for WinXP. Nice card!

Cons: Its always a gamble getting a video card cause the prices/options change ever few months. I was able to sell my old card, and buy this while it was on sale with an additional MIR...so it was a cheap but small upgrade. Worth it IMO.

Other Thoughts: I did have a stock clock 8800GTS-320MB card. I run at 1900x1200 and while I got decent framerates...they were not the best. This card gave me about a 25-40% increase in framerate depending on the game. The smaller memory-bus doesnt seem to be affecting anything. The car also runs about 20* cooler at idle and about 30* cooler at full load, and the fan is near silent most of the time. Good card for the money (with the MIR).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks right out of the box.

Pros: When I brought it back in April... It was best bang for MY bucks. Works right out of the box, no problem what so ever... of course I only pick the parts, my friend was the one that actually got my system to work... but he said no problem at all. Handles my gaming needs: COD4, TF2, and of course cs1.6... all on high setting, no prob.

Cons: I forgot the mail in rebate =X LOL but that was my fault.

Other Thoughts: Wished I remember about the mail in rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice.

Pros: The card is amazing, i've had it for awhile now, sure there is a little noise but not TOTALLY UNBAREBLE. It's a very good graphics card for any gamer out there, I can run CS:S 120fps, 60fps MINIMUM on 40 slot dust_2 server, action packed what not.

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: You can easily overclock this card using the EVGA precision utility to roughly 800Mhz. 512Mb memory. Looks cool.

Cons: That there are no stickers on the top of the card :P

Other Thoughts: The fan will run @ 100% without upgrading the drivers for this card. Once you get the new drivers from evga.com the speed will reduce to 37%.
