NVIDIA's ninth generation series of graphics cards brings cutting edge technology and advanced capabilities together to provide best-in-class performance. The 9800GX2 is the solution for all your most demanding graphic needs. It’s Microsoft Vista ready and equipped with a PCI-Express 2.0 interface for the latest system. The 9800 supports Quad SLI to seriously crank your performance by using up to four graphics cards for insane flow rates.
The card's core clock has been boosted to run at 625MHz relieving your CPU of pixel crunching duty and delivers slick graphics. Data surges through the 9800's 256 stream processors which are fed by 1GB of 512-bit 2000MHz GDDR3 memory. Support for DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, OpenGL 2.1 and NVIDIA's PureVideoHD are also built in to render even the most intense environmental effects or HD DVD video with brilliant clarity.
Twin dual-linked DVI and 400 MHz RAMDAC lets you display 2560 x 1600 resolution video and graphics on even the largest monitors or output via the HDMI port. The 9800 delivers fluid frame rates and HD video with solid performance. If you're serious about your video – and if your motherboard can take it, the 9800GX2 can dish it out.

I'm somewhat impressed
- Pros: This is an impressive single card solution. I'm actually impressed with this generations gx2-- compared to the 7900 and 7950 gx2. Now for the curious people out there, Crysis at 1600x1200 Dx10 at Very High settings 2xAA 8xAF WITHOUT the 1.1 patch will produce roughly 32-36 FPS, very playable. now for any other game I can go up to 1900x1200 with 4xAA, this includes Unreal 3, Cod 4, Gears of War, Bioshock etc. And for the benchers, 23,000 in 3dmark06.
Oh and on another note, If you have a nice full tower with a side tower window, This card is BEAUTIFUL.
- Cons: Well I'm discontent with the fact that two 8800 gts g92's will out perform this card, it's not really a huge downside being that this is a single card solution. The power it needs is just amazing, my ABS 1000w barely cuts along with my Quad Fx Platform.
- Other Thoughts: I'm completly satisfied with my purchase, I upgraded from an Evga 8800Ultra that did well for me, now if the rumours are true and there is going to be a 9900 gx2 I will be upgrading to that in Q3. This card is working perfectly and I am very impressed with the performance.
Have to do better
- Pros: Great New Card for EVGA
And the HDMI support is okay, although HDMI is still in a beta development
- Cons: Uses two slots and extra power a 6 pin as well as an 8 pin power connector
- Other Thoughts: My SLI 8800GT can run Crysis in Very High stable

Big Card
- Pros: Runs AoC on all max but i turned down the View Distance a little to get my fps above 30 all the time, Crisis Runs on dx9 everything maxed and 2x AA at 30 fps as well, CoD 4 max. all games on 1680-1050 rez. runs at about 60c-75c. 3DMark06 i scored a 11698 on a full test, but i was only getting 1fps on the cpu test section"I HATE AMD".
- Cons: Completely covered my north bridge which ran hot b4 now its about 80c "I HATE AMD" and killed my dream of water cooling my NB, dont think i could get a heat sink to go under the GPU, If you have an Antec 900 case be prepared to pull out the stupid plastic thing they give you on your middle drive bay and the drives as well.
- Other Thoughts: Cant complain on the preformance, yet i don't know when ill ever see Crisis maxed! Had to buy new PSU to run it, Got a 850 watt thats 80 plus cert and no power problems.
ASUS M2N-Sli Deluxe AM2 mobo, 4 gigs ddr2 800 gskill ram, RaptorX HDD, AMD 6400+ proc, 850 watt psu, of coarse this card
Great card, some sacrifices will be made
- Pros: Crysis at 1600X1200 runs great. All my games are running at max settings. Great warranty.
- Cons: You might need a new Power supply and it will need an 8 pin and 6 pin PCIe power plug for each of these you put in. Fan problem. When card reaches 60C (yep 60C) fan will slow down to 35%. It gets so hot the labels peel off the card. Waiting on a bios update for that one. Say goodbye to dual monitors. You have a coice dual monitors or SLI, and it is kinda buggy right now to switch between.
- Other Thoughts: If your looking for SLI and you have a good 8 series. Get another 8 series. This is basically two 8800 GTX on one card. I would wait and see how the 9900 are.
