5 out of 5 eggsEVGA 9600gso

Pros: Quiet fan, dual slot. Still has the power to run newer games. For me, it gets a 6.7 in W7, I can get 6.9 by overclocking it a bit...but the stock heatsink doesn't do so well when overclocking, so I just run on default speeds.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Nearing a year since I got this card (not from newegg), and it still works like a charm. I have played from COD4 (max settings) to Bad Company 2 and its still running strong. I am looking at getting an aftermarket heatsink because with stock at 80% fan speed it still reaches the high 60s in games. I run 1366x768 resolution on all my games and it runs fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card after rebate!

Pros: G92 core with great overclocking potential; good cooling solution, the fan is VERY silent with the card at stock speeds and can only hear it when it is at 75%+; got about 11000 in 3DMark 06 with the card runing at 650MHz and 850MHz memory... I had an 8600GTS and it wasn't runing Crysis very well with everything on medium (except Shader that was on High), and now I can play it with everything on High without any problems. Also, the price after rebate was great.

Cons: The memory works at 192 bits, which is a little low these days. Other than that, nothing else.

Other Thoughts: Some people say the card is very long, but I don't think so. As long as u are not trying to install the card in a microATX case, u should be fine. Also, I got the 768mb ($65 after rebate that came in about a month) version of this card, which in my understanding is only noticeably better at higher resolutions... other than that is basicaly the same card.
NewEgg is great!

System: Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.4GHz; Gygabite GA-EP35-DS3L; Wintech AmpX 2Gb @ 4-4-4-12 memory; 250Gb HD; EVGA 9600GSO 768Mb

5 out of 5 eggsThe little card that could

Pros: I absolutely love this card, especially because of the cost after the previous rebate! I have my card running Folding@home 24/7 and it does very well. I've also overclocked it up to 700 core, 1700 shader, and 1000 memory.

The fan in this guy is also very quiet. I run mine at 50% speed all the time and I can barely hear it over my case fans. It does get quite loud once you turn it up to full blast though.

Cons: None that I can see so far.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bang for Buck

Pros: I bought this card for a new Eco build gamer. At the time it had a $50.00 rebate on it. Killer card for $49.00 end user cost.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: Intel Quad 6700, Intel DG33TL MoBo, 4gig Muskin pc-6400, Segate 250gb-7200-32mg cache HDD, EVGA 9600GSO, Viper case, Vista Ultimate. Does what I built it to do very well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Nice dual slot cooler. Pretty quiet up to ~75% fan speed, above that it gets a little loud, but not too bad.
Great performance for thirty-five dollars after rebate (which I recieved in 27 days) and promo code.
Overclocks pretty well, handles most all games on high (1280x1024 for me), even Crysis does pretty well on high.

Cons: None really.
Some may not like the dual slot cooler, but for me it is a plus.

Other Thoughts: I got this for a folding@home system (5000 ppd), and liked it so much, I bought a second one for my primary system.

At 100% fan speed and fully loaded, temps never get above 55°C (~28°C ambient), @ 75% speed, temps are around 60°C loaded. This is with a conservative overclock of 650 core/1800 shader/900 memory.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent card

Pros: Excellent card for Folding@home, and gaming @ 1080p for anything other than crysis, but crysis is a poorly coded game anyway.

best performance per dollar by far

Cons: none... maybe the warranty, 3 years vs lifetime, with the rumors of the g92 cores being defective, this could become an issue, but i'm not too worried about it @ 34 bucks after rebate.

Other Thoughts: evga rebates are very fast.... love evga

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal!

Pros: Upgraded from an X1950 Pro. Easily doubled my performance...

Cared OCed to 660/1800 with no problem with stock cooler.

The fan, even under load is pretty quiet -- I previously had (and reviewed) the Gigabyte 9600 GT w/ Zalman cooler, which was so loud it went back after a few hrs. Much happy with this!

And I managed to get it for about $35 - WOW! It's revitalized my love of FPS!

Cons: It's not a GTX 280? If you're not on a budget, look elsewhere ...

Other Thoughts: Just running a BE-2350 (AMD X2 OCed @ 2.75 ghz), but I can run most games at or near maxed out @ 1680x1050; Crysis even plays decently ( at 1440x900, and split between Med/High -- Most importantly looks and plays great compared to my previous card!)

1 out of 5 eggsCaused system lockups

Pros: Good price AR.

Cons: Caused system to lockup during or shortly after boot to win xp. Card works fine in other systems, but doesn't work with my mobo chipset (gf8200). I've wasted way too much time troubleshooting and trying to get this thing to work for me.

If you have a gf8200 mobo, DO NOT buy this card.

Other Thoughts: At least EVGA offers a step-up program, so I'm putting the purchase price of this card towards something better that WILL work with my system.

5 out of 5 eggsA great card!

Pros: only $33 AR, No other video card on current market can beat this one considering performance/dollar ratio. Dual slot cooling, quiet fan. 3DMark06 scores over 8000.

Cons: Power consumption is higher compared with HD4670 which has simliar performance. only 384M memory, would be nice if it has 512M.

Other Thoughts: very happy with the purchase. Newegg always does super fast shipping.
E4300 @3Ghz, 2Gb GSkill, nivida nforce630i, Ultra 500W, seagate 320G, EVGA 9600GSO, antec solo.
