not a FAN
- Pros: nice card should have 5 eggs
BUT see cons
- Cons: The fan is;
Loud, vibrates, custom size!!!!
- Other Thoughts: to bad the blew the fan pick :)
Great Value!
- Pros: Low power requirement. I'm running this on on a 305watt stock Dell power supply and I run TF2, L4D2, Second Life, on mostly high settings. It will run Bioshock fine on lower settings (still looks great). While I've only had the card < a week. It has been used hard for about a year. I inherited it from a friend who upgraded.
- Cons: Fan squeals and screeches something awful from a cold boot, but then it settles down and runs totally silent. I would have been worried about it, but it has run reliably for a long time
- Other Thoughts: Card performs way above its class and below the suggested power requirements. Haven't tried dual monitors with it. Running below recommended power, not sure that is a good idea. If it dies I'll by another to continue running it in this old Dell.
I hate WOW.
- Pros: Light gaming. Sped up my movie editing significantly over a 256mb sapphire. I play COD and Fallout on pretty high settings with no problem. Stays cool and doesn't make a sound. Very nice high quality HD picture out into my 65 inch wide screen Mitsubishi with a component cable.
- Cons: None if you know what you are buying. What i mean is: if you know that this is a 512MB 128bit gddr2 video card..... and that you can't play every new game on maxed out settings with it..... and just wanna watch movies on your HD TV..... and play a few games that do not require mega memory..... maybe wanna do non commercial movie/picture editing..... and have a nice card that is easy to use and set up, then this is the card for you.
- Other Thoughts: I'm gonna drop at least a bill fifty on my next card and maybe do a nice SLI setup just in case I do decide to become a hardcore gamer.
