- Pros: This card ROCKS !!! Playing World of Warcraft with everything maxed out. Stunning graphics. Everything is crystal clear in game. As soon as they get more of these I will be getting one for wife's new system
- Cons: Haven't encountered any yet.
Love it
- Pros: Extremely fast! I wanted a fast card that can hold me over now until i can spring for a second card for Duel SLI. I originally was not going to do the SSC and just do the base 9800 GTX and just overclock it. At the time of my purchase the rebate made the SSC so close to the price of the base card I just went with the SSC.
Card looks amazing, I'm glad they have gone to this modular look style and got away with the uggly board cards of years ago.
Card runs about 50C at idle and kicks up to 60-62C in full gaming. This is with my overclock and fan still set to Auto. I don't understand the people complaining about the temps, yes relatively it's "hot" but I think the card is well designed and capable of handling the heat so as far as the card and its temps go i don't believe it to be "running to hot."
- Cons: As stated did not come with the HDMI or SPDIF pass through cable, BUT a quick phone call the EVGA and they said to register the card, give them a call and they would get it out in the mail. I can see that the ease of this could very well depend on the customer service person you get. For what its worth though I slightly blame NewEgg for this issue as most packages do not come with the "HDMI" sticker on it, and thus should not be packaged with it.
The base 9800 GTX can be overclocked pretty close to the stock clock of this card, so if your not looking to overclock this card but would consider overclocking, you may consider that route... But... I am currently at about a 14% overclock on my SSC right now and loving it. I havent tweaked it any further but I'm sure it can take it.
Fan is NOT that loud! I really can not har it at all in my Antec 900 with Zalman Heat Sink and I have all my fans on low and throttled. My case is about 18 inches from my head on my desk
- Other Thoughts: With WotLK now released I put this card to the absolute gamers test. Even with my overclocked processor, board and Video Card and extremely under speeded fans (i like a quiet case) I have put in quite a few 12+ hour geek sessions with zero problems.
Get the new precission and don't be afraid to OC this puppy, just do some research and bump in small incraments.

WOW
- Pros: Wonderful card, fast, quiet and priced just right. I was going to purchased another brand of card, but a friend mentioned them to me. Went to the site, looked at their product line and then went online and read about them Seem like this might be the one to trade a couple hundred dollars for a video card. Once in awhile you get it right. They have been great and have a equally great product. Keep up the good work EVGA.
- Cons: Spoke to EVGA about missing cable, sent it right away. Tech help, Garrett Hall was super. Polite and knew his products. I guess this isn't really a con.
- Other Thoughts: Do your reseach and see if you dont come to the same conclusion as I did. You cant do better than EVGA.
