5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: This card is pretty dang good for not needing to empty your bank account. Best part is it does NOT need a power supply. It ran off the motherboard. This card was literally the same exact model I had before but didn't require a power supply for some odd reason. I bought this back in 2010 and my buddy loves that I gave it to him and saved him $100+

Cons: You can't turn the settings on most games to max.... What do you expect though for a cheap card.

Other Thoughts: Worth getting if you just need to get a card to play games.

3 out of 5 eggsFan failed

Pros: I'm not a gamer but I run two monitors and keep them busy. This card worked fine for 2 1/2 years.

Cons: Fan failed after 2 1/2 years. I am not happy that I have to either find a replacement fan or buy a new card.

Other Thoughts: I would gladly pay a little extra for a card that uses a better fan. Anybody with experience knows that general purpose (cheap) fans don't last. However, I made a mistake and assumed that EVGA would not put a cheap fan on a card that has their name on it. I was wrong.

My recommendation: when looking for a new card, if there is no mention of what kind of bearing the fan uses, it is a cheap fan and will fail. If you want a quality fan, look for one with ball bearings.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear your fan is not working properly. If you have already cleared out any dust or debris and the fan still wont spin there are a number of 3rd party after market fans you could use in its place.

4 out of 5 eggs9500 EVGA video card

Pros: Was looking for a low end PCI Express card when I ordered this card. The card installed with no problems the included software installed without a hitch. I was surprised to find this card could handle all my videos and games without slowing down and the overclocking ability is interesting.

Cons: I can't find any cons for this card,it dose more then what I expected.

4 out of 5 eggsFine while it lasted

Pros: It seems to be fast.

Cons: Died after 5 days of use.

Other Thoughts: Though it was a bit of an overkill for business use, I wanted a reliable card for use. Unfortunately, we had the card for 5 days. It worked perfectly at first, then the card died. There was no video coming from the card at all, just a black screen. I ordered a second one to replace it while I RMA the first to EVGA.

5 out of 5 eggsBig increase Decent price

Pros: Popped 2 of these into my machine with SLI on them, after being informed this was probably the best card my slightly older MB(ASUS P5N-E SLI) would support. Its nice that no extra power is needed from the power supply to have them both running. Fans havent made any noises yet, after around 4 weeks of usage. They dont seem to be adding any heat, if anything the build seems cooler. Frame rate increase in games is best i've had ever on this machine through alot of cards, 30FPS in any city in WoW, and up alot more out in the world. World of Tanks, went from 17 fps average to 45 or better average.

Cons: Wish I had talked myself into this purchase sooner.

Other Thoughts: The rebate hasn't come yet, but seems to have been approved through the rebate center. Won't mind seeing a few bucks go back in my pocket thanks to evga and newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsOff the hook

Pros: I have been fighting my onboard card for a year with
X3 Terran Conflict. Once i install this board, it was game over for every AI componet. A truely awesome video card. Everyone needs a gig on their board asap.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: if i could, i would install two of these cards.
