5 out of 5 eggs5 Years and still rolling

Pros: 5 years and this card still burns. I upgraded to a 570 2 years ago, but use this as my wifes card. She basically runs sim games, but it still rocks. Bought a second one used off craigslist for 20 bucks, and her system shuld be good for another couple years.

Cons: 2 of these puppies use A LOT of power. Had to get a big power supply off craigslist for the power, because it kept over heating.

Other Thoughts: It's dicontinued and it's old. If you are looking for something to run the sims/sim city/ or non graphically intense games this thing is perfect. It actually still runs newer games, just not at the level I'd be happy with :-)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Fast. EVGA provides great support when needed.

Cons: Could be too bulky in some situations.
High (?) temps, reading in forums that 70+ Deg C is acceptable for these cards but that is pretty dang hot for stock equipment IMHO. Even if the card is ok everything else in there is going to cook.
It's going to be fun when it's time to clean all the dust out of this brick. :/

Other Thoughts: The temp spooks me, I use the tuning utility to up the fan speed to 100% whenever I start playing something. I wish the higher fan speeds would kick in at lower temps. The stock setting is at 40% fan, auto. Stays there and the card gets to 70 deg C or more. From what I have read that is ok for the card but it is just too hot to even touch on the case. With the fan off auto (and howling loud) 100% the temps stay around 50 on load.

5 out of 5 eggsBlistering Fast

Pros: Everything. Have Logitech G15 and EVGA precision plugin works great, temps in 40s idle and 60s while playing Crysis, so good I am getting an XFX Black Edition to SLI; huge upgrade from 2xSLI 8600GT; super stable and easy to overclock

Cons: Massive Size, but I have Thermaltake Armor so lots of room and good circulation

Other Thoughts: Love it.
System Configuration:
Asus P5N-T
Q6600
EVGA GTX 260
GeIL Black Dragon 4-4-4-12
WD Raptor
2xHitachi 250GB RAID 0

5 out of 5 eggsBest Price/Performance ever

Pros: I got a Recertified one, but basically it's the same card... anyway... this card kicks the competition's rear end simply because:

FOR ONCE, i can play Crysis at very high! Smooth as it can be!

and it's like, $80 more for the full GTX 280, which really isn't worth the incremental increase, if barely any.

Cons: What cons? the fans could be a bit loud at full speed, but otherwise this is fine.

Other Thoughts: computer specs? sure:
AMD Phenom II x3 720 Black Edition
GTX 260 Core 216
G.Skill DDR3 1333
Gigabyte UD5P (name is too long, just took the last 4 letters)
OCZ Fatal1y Modstreamz 550w
Western Digital 320gb 7200 rpm

5 out of 5 eggsPerformance Video Card

Pros: I love this card, has handle all the games I have install with no problems at all. The SLI is a added bonus for me. I will stick with the GTX card for my other PCs.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Maxes out Fallout 3 at 60 FPS with max AA and AF. My monitor is quite old and wont go any higher though so expect higher. Great price for the quality.

Cons: I'll need to buy a power supply with more PCI-E connectors if I ever want to SLI.

Other Thoughts: I had ordered an older GTX 260 card with a core clock of 576 or so but Newegg sent me this card which was $70 more for no extra cost to me. The UPS out here is horrible with their box handling skills so it was quite banged up but it was completely fine with the way newegg packaged it.

Pros: great performance, very nice jump from ati 4850 512mb. can now enable higher settings in GTA 4 and all other games and have high frames per second. Overclocks well, got it stable 680/1466/1250 thats at least 1000points more on 3dmarkVantage

Cons: fan can get loud if card gets very hot

Other Thoughts: got recertified one, works flawlessly.

5 out of 5 eggsCORE 216...OMGGG

Pros: PSHHHH...where to begin...personally in my antec 1200 this card fits "snug" not to big definitely not small though...gave me tons of software with it and far cry 2 (not to good)...honestly this card has destroyed all games i put on it...not in SLI but on crysis maxed with 8xAA im getting around 50-60 FPS O_O thats pretty insane...

Cons: uhhh...none that i can think except the EVGA precission tuning...not to great, ive entered in various combos for OCing but everytime im getting pixely images :P...i have to admit im not the greatest at OCing GPUs...could be y lol

Other Thoughts: if u want a card that will destroy games (graphics wise) get this card...250 dollars and honestly i think it matches the GTX280 it has to this thing is amazing no over heating nothing...in fact i think ill get another one to put in SLI later...truly love this card
