9800 GTX+
- Pros: Good enough to keep up with most games that are out. Has a little trouble running crysis, I ordered a second one to fix that problem. Good OC software comes with the product, very easy to use. Keeps VERY cool, never past 55c in my system.
- Cons: Takes up alot of space and covers one of my pci slots.
- Other Thoughts: Good bang for the buck, if you are considering getting one of these get it.
Best card in that generation.
- Pros: Used this card in the last two computers I built. I have to admit, I was blown away by the performance for the price range. Runs wow on ultra at 60+ fps, war and codwaw ran smooth at max settings as well. The drivers are amazingly simple to update from nvidia. The card is way more quiet than one would expect it to be.
This card runs amazingly cool under load. The highest I have EVER gotten it was 55c, and thats with all of my case fans on the lowest setting.
- Cons: Some people complain about the length of this card, and to be honest, it is kind of like a small coffee table.
- Other Thoughts: I like the size though. put it in an Antec900 (hard drive port in the mid section of the case) and had no problems with length. Asthetically, this card is beautiful, and that size makes your friends jelous when they look through that plexiglass window on your case.
Great
- Pros: Great card, fast, does what you expect it to do.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these to run in SLI but if I could take it all back I would have gone with a single GTX 285.
This is not based on any issues with the card but I am a tad disappointed in SLI since I was expecting my FPS to almost double using 2 cards but instead I only get around 65 FPS in WoW when I can get 55 fps using a single card.
