Epic Price to Performance
- Pros: Amazing card for the price, plays every single game out their on maximum settings, replaced my 8800GT, runs cool and quite to
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: buy this card if your on a budget
Great card, unless you consider
- Pros: Shipped from Newegg quick and install was easy. It is a bit wide, so expect to take up 2 slots. Comes with power supply connectors/adapters, at the time Batman Arkham Asylum was free - great game BTW
- Cons: Submitting and getting a rebate (which was denied) took over an hour to prepare. I had to jump through hoops and do everything "perfectly". By FAR the worst rebate experience ever.
My video card died within 2 months, now I have to jump through hoops again to register the card, go through their tech-support (eventhough I have no images coming up, I still have to use their tech-support) process, get authorization after several days of waiting, ship the card back and wait again. They offer NO CROSS-SHIPPING unless you pay for that "service" in advanced when you register your video card within the first 30 days of purchase. Otherwise, your "hosed". Oh, and eventhough this video card has a lifetime warrany, its not really a lifetime warranty unless you register within the first 30 days on their website. Im thinking about this and wondering....."You say its a lifetime warranty, yet, unless I register in a finite timeframe, you will not honor a LIFETIME warranty" who cares when you
- Other Thoughts: register the card. If its a lifetime warranty, it should be honored for the life of the product. Dont throw up some loophole that eVGA can use to get out of honoring its warranty. That makes no sense to me. My $2500 LCD tv doesnt require me to register in the first 30 days of buying to get my warranty, my $57,000 car doesn't require me to register in the first 30 days, yet on both items, the warranty is honored.
eVGA, you still have my card and Im "hosed" w/out any cross shipping option. Im going back to XFX, their support "is" support.
260
- Pros: Very robust card responds efficently to OverClocking with AfterBurner. 77FPS in COD4(MW2) Max resolution 4x AA. Fits snugly into Antec900 case. This card is so fast you can actually down clock it and enjoy the quite
- Cons: Fan is a beast at 70-80% afraid to let the GPU hit 140F+
- Other Thoughts: WoW FPS 33-41 running 8x AA would be faster if it had the two extra shader/texture processors.
Wish I would have gottin this card on sale.
