5 out of 5 eggsReplacement for 9800GX2, and GTX280

Pros: Coming from a GTX 280, and a 9800 GX2 before that. This thing runs cooler than a 9800 GX2 with alot more power in games and uses less power, which i dont really care about. Great card, and did see a big improvement over the GTX 280 and the 9800 GX2 in frame rates.

Cons: fan is alot louder than the 280 or the GX2. dont understand why since its the GX2 fan design. ???????

Other Thoughts: Great card. Have her running in a Antec Micro P180, with Zalman 750 PS, asus P5Q-EM, Q9550, 8Gigs Gskill 1000 running at 800Mhz 4-4-4-12, velociraptor 300Gig HDD, 2 1 TB drives Samsungs, X-Fi fatality PCI-e, zalman 9700 cooler.

3 out of 5 eggsHmm???

Pros: EVGA has very great product's
Like the 9800 GX2 and 8800 ultra

Cons: Evga sandwich 260 cards together + adding the 240 processing cores from the 280 ssc
just like they did for the 9800 GX2 & 8800 ultra

Other Thoughts: ( I am a die hard EVGA fan )
( Note ) there were some ish-u with the drivers on some games with the 9800 GX2 cards and the 8800 ultra's

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Nvidia can finally run crysis(barelly)with AA on now!It does beat the 4870x2 and takes the crown back. The looks are the best ive seen.

Cons: Power hungry !! Minimum of 700w if you sli it 1000w and 40amps(1) and 70amps in SLI. Runs very hot! Its still sad to see games over power the video cards that come out. you could spend over a 1000bucks and barelly (if you do) get video quality in some games(like crysis at max). I know that these billion dollar companies can make a card with like 1000bit at 40nm with like 4gig of ddr5mem to run this stuff but then weres all the money going to go when we need to uprade again next week.

Other Thoughts: 500 dollars is not to bad for a leading card, as i payed 622 for the 9800gx2 when it came out and over 700 for the 8800gtx when that came out ,so price isnt to bad but i would have to say most people dont play at 2550x1600 where this is decent. I use the 9800gx2(which after the 180.48 and beyond) is faster than the gtx280. If u play at 1680x1050 the 9800gx2 is by far the best bang for the buck at 250dollars. look at reviews on toms hardware and guru3d and you will see that even on some games at 1920x1080 its more than enough power. My point is 2 9800gx2s is 500dollars and is actually faster(than one gtx295) by alot in some games at 1920x1080 or less. If you run it at 2550x1600 get this card but it will cost ya! If you buy this card with a 22inch monitor youll be sorry as alot of cards can compete at 1680x1050, but overall if you run 2 of these, no one will touch you. Make sure you run your cpu a little overclocked(like 3.6ghz)as alot of videocards are choking to death.

5 out of 5 eggsSIMPLY THE BEST

Pros: the fastest beast ive ever used. like always, im very happy and with EVGA purchase at newegg. runs fairly cool (for a dual gpu), not as lound i was expected. but much faster than i expected. went up and from gtx 280 to 295 and you can clearly see the difference in performance

Cons: size - very long. but if you've ever bought any other modern cards you should be used to it.

Other Thoughts: core i7 3.2ghz--evga x58--gtx295

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: see below

Cons: see below

Other Thoughts: Preliminary thoughts just installed. High temps 91 load, 51 idle, my house is 63 degrees and case is open. Far Cry 2 didn't run well maxed out, driver issue? Yes I have current driver. ran fsx where as 4870x2 would not. Wic ran well. I'll be sure to register to get lifetime warranty? for heat issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat I expected... and more

Pros: Replaced my 8800 gts 512 (g92) with the GTX 295. Here are the numbers. Far Cry 2 went from avg of 10.5 FPS to 45 avg FPS - 1920-1200 maxed out w/8xAA under DX10. Crysis went from unplayable (less than 10 FPS) to 34 FPS with 1600x1200 and ultra high settings and 8xAA with Dx10! To say that I am pleased is an understatement. Crysis looks like a new game with everything turned on. Drivers seem to be stable and installation could not have been easier. I bought this to get some more life out of my 775 based machine and this has done the trick. You won't be disapointed with this card.

Cons: None, with the product. If you dont own the product, dont write a review. You dont see me trashing your kia do you?

Other Thoughts: Rig as follows: E6850 w/10%OC, Tuniq tower, GA-EP35C-DS3R, 8 gigs AOpen 6400, CM stacker tower w/1000 watt PS, GTX 295, Vista 64 Ultimate.

5 out of 5 eggsBottleneck

Pros: Fastest individual card on market.

Cons: Umm... none to date.

Other Thoughts: Bottlenecks like mad... This is why some do not see high performance gains with quad-sli. CPU needs to be clocked to... ...

5 out of 5 eggsA Beast

Pros: This is definately a powerhouse card and the best single card solution out there. Basically as good or better as two gtx 260's but without using up an extra epci slot with a somewhat less power consumption due to a few tweaks by nvidia. EVGA's card is also slightly overclocked for what is essentially stock card prices so thats a nice bonus too.

Cons: Cost, system power drain and size, but this is something that you are mostly likely use to already by previous high end cards if you've ever been in the market for them.

Other Thoughts: The Ferrari Enzo of video cards. Power if you are willing to pay for it.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: This thing is unbelievably fast!!! got two in quad SLI and dual 24" monitors with the new drivers released a couple of days ago, and setup was very easy no problems with the new drivers like has happened in the past.
I was surprised at how much less heat these were putting out compared to my last setup (2 8800 ultras)
my temps differed by a drop of five C* or so, no complaints there!

Cons: Only thing would be price I guess, but its actually not that high compared to past cards when they were first released, so its basically personal opinion, whether you are willing to shell it out or not.

Other Thoughts: I have yet to bench them, so I can't be specific on how well they rate, though Crysis has never looked better :) was able to hit a steady 60+ fps with maxed settings and 4x AA at 1920 x 1200, which again I would like to point out that my temps were lower than my last two cards.

RIG:
EVGA x58 Mobo
2 x EVGA 295 in quad sli
6 gigs of ddr3 1600 ram
i7 965 3.2ghz proc
Antec 1200
