1 out of 5 eggsStuck with a useless lifetime junk card

Pros: Great card while it worked always gave problems with source based games however so I was unable to play my favorite source games.

Cons: Recently started giving me all kinds of headaches and problems, called evga did a rma got another back started having problems with it again. But before I did A second rma. i went and rma'ed my memory and psu which I got upgraded for free which I didn't need but I rma'ed it bc evga told me it couldn't be there card, but card still gave me problems so I still sent it in looks like I'm getting same junk back in the evga member profile. Been out of a computer for about 4 weeks total now with two video card rmas I did and the memory and psu. Spent so much money in shipping costs I could of just put it towards a new video card ($30 first evga video card shipping bc I had no packaging/ $10 memory shipping/ $15 psu shipping / $15 second evga video card shipping/ that's like $70 I could of put towards a new video card :/ ), but just been wasting my time with this evga lifetime warranty... Deff next card will be some other company than evga I'm done with them.

Other Thoughts: Somewhere along the road evga has forgot how to do customer service right they talk all nice and friendly on phone as if ur problem will be fixed but they end up sending u the same junk that doesn't work back, worst of all they call out the customer and tell me the card is working fine, I wouldn't be doing a rma if it was working fine..... I have tons of video/photo evidence of my computer taking freezing/ black screen/ artifacts/ bsod dumps on me to prove otherwise but they don't care, they just say oh it's ur memory or psu or anything else they can blame.... So tired of paying for shipping with no fix to my problem. Now I just gotta saved up for a new card with all the money wasted on shipping....

Ps I had to do this review on my iphone bc I'm waiting to receive that same junk video card back and here's a video showing what junk that card is and u have already heard about evga customer service... Wish I could up uploaded more than one video bc I have tons of them with this card taking a dump on every single game even on the desktop....

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your product. We do strive to have the best customer service and RMA experience in the industry. We will only inform a customer that the card they sent in is working fine after we have received the card and ran it though testing here. If you were told that it means that the card did not show any issues in our testing, which would explain why our techs beleived the problem to be elsewhere in the system. Please contact me directly on this matter at bbrunson@evga.com and I will see what can be done on this case.

Thank you,
Brandon B

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the trouble

Pros: Decent card while it lasted.

Cons: It is a very hot card. Always idled a little bit high (high 50s/low 60s) and load was well into the mid 80s. Recently, load temperatures have increased to to mid 90s at 100% fan speed which has been creating problems. Additionally, it has always had driver problems. Anytime I play TF2, the drivers will crash and then reset and throttle back the clocks to well below default (card is not over-clocked). Very annoying and has caused me to quit playing TF2.

Other Thoughts: I have cleaned it and reapplied better TIM in hopes to get a handle on the temperature issues but that did nothing. Now I'm forced to look for another card.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsTotal piece of junk

Pros: It worked for the first 6 months.

Cons: Nothing but graphical errors in 80% of the games I play. Flickering, freezing, juddering, SNOW.

Other Thoughts: This thing is junk. Total junk. I see that its been deactivated on the site, but I really need to put my 2 cents in. I hate this video card with all the fury of a star. It has basically been an expensive paperweight for most the time I've owned it.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the card. Artifacting is usually a card or power supply issue if you have already tried reloading the driver. If possible try the card in another system to verify the issue follows the card. If it does or you are unable to test it in another system please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842 or me directly, Matth@evga.com, so we can assist you further.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA Wins!

Pros: I multibox wow and can run 5 accounts off one PC with this Card. the SLI function just makes it unrealistic! This card preforms well, quiet, dissipates heat well, and is something you wont regret. Most people skimp on Vid Cards and that is a problem you will live to regret.

Cons: not one thing.

Other Thoughts: I keep my products a year, unless I have to return them before I comment. After a year EVGA has got me sold!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh at best

Pros: External exhaust is great and a must-have on any higher end GPU.

Cons: NOT Fermi lol !~ Power hog in any SLI configuration, large card (not a real negative, but should be listed)

Other Thoughts: This review is really skewed since I am making it after I have had Fermi cards for over 8 months now... the 400 tech really advanced far and away over the 200 series!

3 out of 5 eggsNot as good as expected

Pros: Handles a lot of high end graphics use. Doesn't overheat.

Cons: Not as much performance as expected, had an 8800 gtx blew this out of the water. Don't expect to upgrade with EVGA after this.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,
This card should handily outperform an 8800GTX given you are not CPU bottlenecked. I recommend you contact our 24/7 support to troubleshoot this issue and make sure you are getting the full performance of the card. Thank you,

Nick

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible cards!!

Pros: I have 2 of these cards running all 4 of my displays without much effort at all! I haven't attempted to framerate these cards in SLI or otherwise because there are many posted already and I can take solace in the quality of eVGA cards. These cards do get hot though when running CUDA applications such as Seti@Home or other BOINC applications. Leaving the CPU on with these cards doing such hard computations, these cards perform well even after extended uptime.

Cons: Originally eVGA denied a rebate claim for the second card but after I explained that this was for an SLI setup they quickly issued the rebate for the second card. That's the only problem I had with the cards.
