5 out of 5 eggs6 years of loyalty

Pros: Played games like:
CoD Modern warfare, Left 4 Dead on max. Greatly improved World of Warcraft (Back then)
Runs sims 3 quite well considering thats fairly new.
I always found it quiet, at least in a stock Gateway from Circuit City.
All this from a stock PC
AMD athlon 2.6gz dual core
4gb ddr2 667mz
400w psu came in case...

Cons: I honestly have zero cons...

This thing has never failed on me, sounded too loud, had failed parts/fan or chrashed on me

(8May14) My sister was complaining her PC would not stay on for more then a few mins before powering down out of nowhere. So I replaced the thermal paste FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER and she has been running fine since

Other Thoughts: I bought this card (I'm pretty sure) in 2007, maybe 2008. Mine was the 512mb model though, I could not find that one here with this same heat sink by EVGA.
I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by how long this thing has lasted! I will forever be an EVGA fanboy.

This is currently in my oldersysters PC so she can play the sims smoother. I upgraded to a 5870 christmas 2009.

1 out of 5 eggsCard is fine motherboard bad

Pros: I am putting this here because I gave this a bad review. The card is excellent, the Asus system board was the problem. My apologies to anyone who was driven away by this error.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Never take anything for granted.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Card powerful performance great price!

Pros: Powerful gaming card... can max out the settings on doom 3 assasins creed EVE online Mass Effect 2 etc. and runs these games at max settings and screen resolution w/ all the extras (blookm shadows etc) at an average 55 fps well it runs at 60 but sometimes drops (probably due to lag) to 50. Runs cool 40 degrees C (104 F) is the highest is goes with 3 EVE clients... Outputs to TV at 1024 X 768 (most games minimum res) instead of 800 x 600 max and the TV takes it (srry not a HD tv).

Cons: I got two of these cards because i really liked the performance of the first but it can only handle two displays at a time... not all 3 connections at once.. so it was either both monitors or a monitor and the television... once i bought a 2nd card this was fixed. However it is a big card and the 2nd one blocks one of my sata ports (using 3 of 6 atm so no big deal).

Other Thoughts: I have a PCI E X 16 as my primary and a PCI E X 8 as my secondary... can run 3 EVE clients on 3 screens with the game graphics setting toned down i get average 23 fps per client/screen on average... which is fine no game lag whatsoever... when running 3 clients on 2 monitors with one card instead of two graphics cards i get an average of 50-55 fps per client and can turn up the graphics... Im wondering if an sli connection (which these cards to not have/support) would allow me to crank everything up on all 3 screens? Oh well this is all far beyond my expectations.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well i bought this card for playing Modern Warfare 2, and it runs it at good settings not full but pretty close. It plays Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 just fine. No problems with those. This card is good for good (not best) but good game play. Good for the price.

Cons: Was expecting more from the card. I upgraded from a 9500 GT Geforce and didnt see as much of a difference then i thought I would.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Pros - Works great, easy install, pop and go.

Cons: Cons - My computer is still bottlenecking it :(

Other Thoughts: I would gladly get another of these for an SLI if I had another slot. When I was looking around, I saw that this card shipped with a free game. When I bought it, it didn't. I contacted Newegg's customer service and they gave me a free $20 credit to my card. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! THANKS NEWEGG!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed easily on Win7 x64, both on Nvidia and MS drivers.

Cons: Win7 x64 labels it as a 9600 GSO 512, but shows GPU memory as 1GB...not a big con, but whatever...the rig will run sims 3, photoshop and ms office.
