5 out of 5 eggsGreat card but...

Pros: Purchased in 2009 Excellent performance, cooling & software for core & shadder clocking. Quiet & good looking card. Great Warranty (EVGA has the best lifetime)

Cons: Since day 1 i could not run at stock speeds (crashed) so had to lower the speed 50%. Good news was i still could run crysis & cod games maxed out no probs.

Other Thoughts: But now i had to reduce much more power & decided to RMA this card which EVGA accepted 1.5yr later. This is why i will always be a customer of theirs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat chubby board

Pros: (Looks like this review was originally matched to a Corsair PSU in error.)
Great resolution and speed. Handles anything you throw at it. Drives a 30" high-res monitor with ease.

Cons: It takes up a lot of space in a mid-sized case. It is the heaviest single-slot card I've ever dealt with. With the motherboard in the vertical position and this card in the horizontal position I was concerned with the stress on the motherboard and slot, but no problems so far (screw it in tight).

Other Thoughts: Wish it were lighter and cheaper.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: New egg shipped within one day. LOOKS like a good card

Cons: I replaced 2 Diamond HD 4670 cards with one of these and it wont even play GTA4 for 15 minutes without blackscreening. I bought a total of 3 of these cards for my employees and my HTPC. My employees PC's lock up in Premier CS4 with the same black screen. Once it crashes, the card is so hot that you cant even touch it. This is with dual 250mm fans, dual 120mm fans. Tried calling EVGA 3 times and after waiting an hour each time (I am waiting on hold with them now as a matter of fact) I was told:
1st time - Your OCZ 700watt power supply is not enough. I bought a PC Power and Cooling 750 watt with approx 85 amps and still same problem.
2nd time - They told me that it was the drivers and that I needed to download install the beta drivers from nvidia. That didnt fix it.
3rd time - they said it was thermal. OK, well I cant ad anymore fans so I guess this card requires liquid cooling?! It doesnt say that on the box....nor does it say that you need more then 680watt and 46 amps.

Other Thoughts: Dont waste your money on this card. Get the HD 5000 series card. It blows this card out of the water.

Manufacturer Response:

It is normal for the card to be hot to the touch, I recommend downloading EVGA Precision to check your GPU temperatures, around 80-90c under load is within operating conditions.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid

Pros: Extremely fast without the need for water cooling
Micro-stuttering is no longer the issue that it was with earlier releases of the 295

Cons: Other than price, nothing

Other Thoughts: This is the second 295 I've owned. The first one was bought about nine months ago and was promptly returned due to the 'micro-stuttering' caused by the dual GPU architecture. Even games like World of Warcraft would stutter when you did a sudden 180. That's no longer the case.

If you want an over-clocked card but don't want to deal with water cooling, this is the card you want.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: None

Cons: The card doesnt even come near the performance of my gtx280. World of Warcraf gets 20fps in dal, I used to get 30's - 40's fps. fallout3 gets 60fps when i was getting 70-80. Very dissapointed

Other Thoughts: fressh win7 install, q6600 oc to 3.2ghz 6gb sys RAM. Don't bother with this. get a gtx280 for less.

Manufacturer Response:

Keep in mind that this card will shine in scenarios that are GPU limited, for example, high levels of AA/AF combined with high resolution.

Also one thing to keep in mind is that WoW is primarily a CPU bound game unless you run high levels of AA/AF, resolution, or 3D stereo.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Graphics Card Ever

Pros: This is a great card to have. It is fast, smooth, and wonderful. With Asus P6T Deluxe V2, Kingston memory, it runs very smoothly with a 1920x1080 TV through HDMI. Very good for gamers.

Cons: Since it is a two slot graphics card, make sure that you have enough space and separate it from other cards for venting purpose.

Other Thoughts: It is definitely a big card. Make sure that your tower can accommodate this card. In an Antec Nine Hundred tower, I had to remove the fan concentrator in the first 3.5" hard drive bay to accomodate this card.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have them in SLI and a fps boost is notable

Cons: some games get the frames out of sync making them jittery, also some games will crash. I believe the later is driver issues but I have the latest installed. When sli is disabled everything works fine except the lower fps.

Other Thoughts: I hope new driver releases solve the problem.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the review. If you are having issues with SLI on this card I would encourage you to contact our 24 hour tech support at 888-881-3842 for assistance.

Thank you,
Kyle Sabine

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Best graphics card Ive owned so far. All the games I tried on this run so smooth even at 1920X1080 at the highest settings.

Cons: Price but its well worth it

Other Thoughts: This card is huge make sure you have the room and make sure it has room to breathe you dont want to be blocking the front vent of the card because hot air comes out both sides of the card. Also this card requires 46 amps so you want to make sure you have around a 700watt power supply or more I went with a bfg ex-1200(watts)

5 out of 5 eggszoom zoom

Pros: Very fast and stable. Very high frame rates (over 200fps in 3dmark) and I'm only running one card. Awesome overclocking software bundled.

Cons: A little warm? Fan is quiet at 40% and runs stable. This thing sucks a lot of power but it's a beast.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had the cash to run 2 in sli
