5 out of 5 eggsAwesome old graphics card

Pros: I owned this card back in 2010 and it still work to this day. This graphic card can still play some of the current games.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wish I had review this back in 2010. Also thanks to this card I was able to play games like Skyrim, F.E.A.R, and e.t.c without no problem.

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted?

Pros: Packs a punch in a very small package

Cons: Started freezing my machine a year after purchase (12/2010)... Now officially dead.

Was never used for gaming. Disappointing how short it lasted.

Manufacturer Response:

HEllo,

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the card. If it was purchased 12/10 then it would still be under warranty. Please contact our 24/7 technical support so we can setup a replacement (888)-881-3842

2 out of 5 eggs6 and out

Pros: quiet
lowpower usage
win7, xp, osx compatiple

Cons: gt240's suffer from defects regularly

bandaided with older drivers but definately not reliable

bought 12/10/10 dead as of 7/7/11 and it was rarely used (30-40hrs a month maybe)

Other Thoughts: i build systems regularly. This is the worst nvidia card i ever delt with.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsNot in Linux it Won't!

Pros: Fits easily into one slot. There may be room for a small wireless card next to it. I use ATX full size whenever possible for builds.

Cons: Useless...Absolutely useless in Linux. The folks at Nvidia are making it difficult on purpose. I pulled this card and finished a build for my son. I bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 for myself. Ubuntu not only recognized it, but installed the corresponding software automatically.

Other Thoughts: It's good for one thing; shlepping in Microsoft. For that it is as easy to use as a toaster. Give me AMD/ATI any day of the week over this. I am sorry I wasted time on it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have two of these and there are no words to describe how amazing these cards are. I also have 3 monitors and I -LOVE- the built in driver support for panoramic gaming. I can run Crysis on very high spec at a resolution of 4800x1200 and everything is liquid smooth.

Cons: Expensive!

These cards do tend to run a little hot. I average 85-90C during Crysis single player. If you are using these cards in SLI, the card on top is always 10 degrees hotter than the other because of the restrictive air flow. I may add the cards to my water cooling loop when I get more cash.

Other Thoughts: Get these cards! You won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice card

Pros: Runs cool
Very fast
Works very well in both Windows and Linux

Cons: 512MB isn't a lot of memory these days
On my i7 860, was the major bottleneck for gaming

Other Thoughts: This was my gaming card for six months, and while it wasn't as capable as I'd hoped when I bought it, even now it's a wonderful card for my Linux system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card!

Pros: Only takes sup one PCI slot space, doesn't interfere with adjacent slots

Worked out of the box with the OEM 300 watt Power supply

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: With another PCI-Express HDTV tuner in the adjacent slot, it got a bit warmer than I wanted (though still well within specs). This was easily solved though by adding a simple piece of index card to divert some of the air-flow from my case fan toward the GPU fan intake. That simple piece of paper decreased temps by 10-20C so it peaks under 80C even during stress tests.
