3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good for everyday use. Surfing the web watching movies. A decent value for your money.

Cons: A bit slow and clunky on even moderate graphics applications.

Other Thoughts: If you are a gamer or do heavy graphics move on to something more substantial. Money in = Satisfaction out.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat card for games

Pros: This card is great for games indeed, even though my CPU is bottlenecking this card it still runs BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY 2 on 1024x700 with everything on low with about 40fps or so.

Cons: Major cons, After buying this card and on the first day i've decided to watch a few movies. Hmm i thought there wouldn't be any issues but into the 2nd episode the screen suddenly froze and artifacts appeared. The first time was the BSOD but after that it just froze for any kind of video I watch. I've researched around and saw that others are too having the same issues.

Other Thoughts: Great card if used for gaming, not such a great card when watching videos.

3 out of 5 eggsLackluster in hardware performance PUNCH

Pros: Yeah its cool, low power, is pretty quiet-

Cons: is otherwise a piece of junk thats practically a side-grade upgrade from my ZOTAC 8800GT which will likely lead me to pick up another one when those prices come down again for my next build. Its not a bad card its just overpriced considering its performance is hardly worth 89.99 something I probably paid for my last card (no seriously that's probably what I paid). If it were about 59.99 I'd buy 2 more of them instead of one.

Other Thoughts: Its a decent, but not great price for what you get. Its very quiet, keeps nice and cool. Its just not really worth it if you have a 9600 or an 8800 already. Its like- man if you're gonna go PCI EXPRESS with more than one video card just get another 9600 or another 8800 and save some money.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: I was just about to select the shell shocker deal when I saw this unit for just a few dollars more, got it and haven't looked back.

Cons: Only a 6.6 on the Windows 7 experience scale. That's without overclocking though.

Other Thoughts: Get it. Especially if you can get a rebate on it! Ordered on Black Friday weekend, was here by Wednesday! Great job!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Took a while to install since this was the first time I'd swapped out hardware in a computer. Everything booted up perfectly fine afterwards. This card was an incredible improvement over my last card (EVGA nVidia Geforce 9500 GT 1 gig)

Cons: None so far except the fan is a bit loud but my headset cancels it out.

3 out of 5 eggsLooked great, incompatible with Dell Inspiron 530

Pros: Looked like a sweet card. Took up two PCI-E slots, HDMI out. I was super excited.

But...

Cons: After installing drivers on Dell Inspiron 530 (this is a Dell Inspiron 530 problem, google it), I get BSOD every startup. So pretty much, incompatible with my computer.

Other Thoughts: Sadly, returning it and purchasing EVGA GeForce 9800 GT =(

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice card for the price

Pros: Very nice card for the price (good rebates, too). Using it mostly for OpenCL development. About 1/4th the performance of a GTX 470 at < 1/5th the price.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Have a GT 240 with DDR5 as well; about 15-20% faster than this DDR3 card.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card for the money
EVGA PLUS NVIDIA = QUALITY
Have owned quite a few evga video cards and found they
last much longer than other brands that use nvidia chips

Cons: I didn't need this when I purchased it
but the rebate seemed to make it a great buy
but now its been 2 months and no rebate
thats bad business ,and should make one wary

Other Thoughts: eggs lost for poor handling
of rebates
maybe they will figure it out

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Can you please send an email to rebates@evga.com so we can correct this.

Thanks,
Jacob
